Airport Van Rental

It was a good experience.

Pass on this place - find somewhere else to rent, even if you have to pay a few extra dollars!! We were advised that the mileage was unlimited - had it in writing - but they would not honor that - advised it was unlimited up to 250 miles per day. Desk person and office person were both short and rude, and once we decided were going to rent the auto, even though we would have overage charges, the office person refused to help us. 2 other guests came in and were upset with the service as well - were left at the airport for over an hour and had to call others for a ride. They refused to acknowledge their time or frustration. After waiting for almost an hour, we checked out and the auto was newer but had some interior issues. AND the clerk wrote down higher mileage than was on the odometer. We rent often and do not have any issues - this place just was not worth the hassle and they wasted A LOT of my time. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO RENT FROM!

I had a positive experience with AVR. While there was a bit of a wait when we arrived to pick up the car AND to drop off, the customer service people were very helpful and accommodating. I had to add an extra day to the rental because a snowstorm prevented us from returning on time and, while it was not a problem to do this, I was disappointed at the surcharge for doing so. Again, overall, it was a positive rental experience and I would not hesitate to rent from AVR again.

We had to wait almost 30 minutes for the pick up at the Car Rental Station. When I called, they said it would take 5-7 minutes to get to the AVR office, but it took 12 minutes. I lost to much time and ended up paying more than expected. I'll make sure to never use AVR again. The only positive point was the good conditions of the car.

This is a 4.5 star review. My fifth van rental in as many weeks. The rates were competitive for my needs, vans were clean and the off site transfer was easy. The administrative staff were friendly and easy to deal with. I recommend them highly.

I rented through orbits for ACE not AVR This was not an airport pick up or drop off. I was charged shuttle fee regardless. The insurance I paid for the vehicle was told would not suffice so I had to take AVR's offer for insurance. The vehicle was dirty both inside and out. I was told they probably didn't was b/c it was going to rain. There food and sticky residue inside. When purchased I reserved for unlimited. This was not the case when I arrived they told me I had limited miles b/c I was local. So I was charged extra miles for my trip.

These guys delivered exactly what was promised at a very reasonable price. They are somewhat out of the way but otherwise everything I had hoped for.

I booked AVR through their website and it stated it was a certian price. Once we arrived they said that the price changed and that we had to pay a mandatory extra $132 usd that was not listed online when we booked! Would have went with someone else if we knew about the “hidden” costs. They wouldnt reply to my facebook messages I sent although they were read. Not happy because they didnt own up to their false advertising and I wont be using them again.

This is not your typical rental car company. Everyone was in street clothing therefore you couldn't distinguish customers from workers. The pre-rental inspection is either guided or self guided depending on who are (very uncommom). I was told upon arrival that I had to purchase their insurance because the van is considered a commercial vehicle. The rep made me call my insurnce company on speaker to verify they would cover the rental. I have rented 12 passengers from other companies I have never had go thru this. Entirely too long of a proceess to secure a prereserved vehicle.

Nice people, great customer service. However, it took a long time to get waiting on the shuttle. They say the driver was on lunch. I could tell. Plus they advertise a certain vehicle when you book and dont have it.

It was difficult to pick up the car (two shuttles?). It was difficult to drop off. I was charged an extra fee that wasn’t listed anywhere in the contract. When I call To ask about the fee, I’m told repeatedly to read the contract—which I’ve done. On hold for an hour. Will never use again.

The lied to me about I have to buy insurance.

I thought that the rental fee was very high for only driving 17 total miles.
