No shuttle service from airport had myself and my 3 children stuck at airport had to pay to take taxi to get there and be told they were closed. Terrible place to rent from never again from me

Van was adequate for our needs, but rental location was off the beaten path and pick up van was hard to identify. Also shuttle van was extremely old and uncomfortable. The biggest problem was the fact that there was no key fob and alarm went off every time you unlocked the van. Until you got the key in the ignition, the extremely loud alarm sounded. Very bad experience. Called AVR and the told me to call roadside assistance. No way I’m spending all day waiting for road side asst all the way out in Palm Springs.

Horribly slow and rude. Worst customer service in years
We didn't understand to call first, so we went to the wrong pickup place. Then, when we finally got to the Rental counter, we were informed that we must call our Insurance company to prove we had coverage or purchase their insurance. We took photos of the inside and outside of the van, then climbed in. There was a terrible smell and the large van had tire alert lights on, but they told us it was fine. "They all do that" We insisted on a different van. The one they gave us was also dirty, well used, old and very bouncy. We have owned Large Vans personally and this van was not in good repair. Again, we took photos of the inside and out and documented cracks in the windshield. When it came time to return the van, we were not told there were specific hours to return on Sunday. The office was closed and we were left stranded to get to the airport. We ended up having to drop off the group, then return the van and then find a way back to the airport, at our expense. Overall, a terrible experience.

I found this van rental on the internet. The deal I found was excellent. However the only thing I didn’t like was I had to extent my rental and no where on the paperwork nor the company told me it would be double in price. That’s the only flaw I had with them. Everything was smooth.
LADY ON DESK! RUDE!!! Dissapointed, Frustrated, Van Defective!!!! Dissapointed! frustrated. I reserved a 15 seater van with them awhile back. after talking to customer service, went through the process and with confident, I booked the van for 11 days! he even said I can use my own insurance so I don't have to purchase insurance with them . On the day on my pick up, The RUDE lady on counter went through everything and I ended up paying additional 500 dollars!! she said 15 sitter van and commercial van is considered an RV and it's not covered under any insurance so she brought up a lot of stuff about what if something happens that makes you stressed out and worry , she said you have to get the insurance BECAUSE ITS THE LAW.... So I ended up getting it! don't have time to read five pages small letters agreement as I am in a hurry to pick up my family at the airport. I got so frustrated instead of paying around $500, I ended up paying $1100!!! that is not what I expected so I got caught off guard paying 1300 upfront the counter with $200 deposit I could not decline because I really needed to plan for my family.. So a day comes by and I have the van with me, I ended up driving it very limited because it's showing notification and alarming about traction need control to be serviced!! So during the duration of my rent I can only drive the van with a maximum of 40 to 50 mph because the traction notification on the vehicle keep alarming and popping, and I really did feel the van is not running right we were very concerned and my family member does not want to ride the van and felt very unsafe because of the weather conditions. THEY ARE CLOSE ON WEEKENDS! so we drove it very limited speed with worries.. there are days that I just used my own vehicles to drive around. I will try to call AVR and try compensate me for something they provided with a defective Van. ( I DID! USELESS WASTE OF TIME! ) . Over all my expectation from booking the van was ok BUT disappointing upon picking renting it out from the office spending another $500 which the RUDE lady in the desk gave me more worries if I did not purchase the insurance from them after that they gave me a defective van!!! So i Called customer service.. NO HELP!! and Direct Rental place!! WORSE!!! I WILL PASS THIS TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND RELATIVES TO NOT RENT HERE!! I'VE BEEN RENTING VEHICLES WITH NO PROBLEM.. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME RENTING A VEHICLE WITH THIS KIND OF EXPERIENCE... AVR NO MORE!! P.S. I wanted to talk to the manager always says she is busy!!! called a day before say they will call me!! never did!! dont want to let me talk the manager!!! trying to solve her own!! Excellent love it, the pie please very much friendly, I was traveling from the state of Florida to Texas with a driving license from Texas and I was able to rent a car in the airport if it wasn’t for you’ll I wouldn’t been able to rent a car
Over all, this was a very good experience. Had trouble with our original flight getting canceled, and they took care of our reservations. Changed them to a few days later when we did get a flight. Got a ride to and from airport. The van was great. The only problem I can come up with is, we wanted to extend our rental by one day, they said it would cost us twice the daily rate plus 25.00. We decided not to extend it. Also, to note, my wife had got on their website prior to this and could have rented a van for that same day for less then 25.00 from the same location we had rented from. I could understand an extra cost if they had to get a van from somewhere else to extend our rental, but that did not seem to be the case.
I love these guys! I’ve rented with a job and for personal. My only issue was the deposit and payments. When quoted, they failed to mention the deposit. And in my super tired mind I just didn’t think about it. There’s always a deposit! Duh-soy. But they wouldn’t use my debit card without proof of address, like a utility bill. It was all complicated when picking up the van. It’s a two way relationship, and it would have be nice to go over the details when making the reservation.

I was given a rental van that I felt unsafe while driving as it fishtailed on me with any little bump on the road. In addition, when I went to turn in the van I fueled up and the gas pump popped letting me know that no more gasoline could be put in the gas tank. But that was not good enough for the lady at the car rental place, she made me go all the way around the block to fuel up to the gas station there next-door in the middle of traffic and all I was able to put in there was $1.80 more. but that was not good enough for the lady at the car rental place, she made me go all the way around the block to fuel up to the gas station there next-door in the middle of traffic and all I was able to put in there was $1.80 more in which she wanted to charge me $15.00 So unprofessional and so rude. If you prefer to lose customers over two dollars because the gas is not filled to your standards then You have lost a customer. Will not be renting from this place ever!! You get what you pay for, better to pay a few dollars more for better service!
