Airport Van Rental has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.

Prepaid reservation was cancelled on a pretext and then was insulted by staff.
We arrived at LAX and went to catch bus to the pick up point. The guy at AVR rental was very pleasant, knowledgable.Everything went smoothly. The van was great no problems. We returned the van on Sunday a day early. We didn't need it any longer. The return process went well too and we were out of there quickly. I would certainly rent from them again.
At counter. 200.00 required. Upon return of vehicle, agent too busy to check in. 70.00 returned of the deposit with out explanation why 130.00 was not. Several calls to rental company, and still unknown why total amount was not refunded.
I've used AVR about 4 times over the past 6 months. The first 3 times have ranged from good to acceptable service, depending on who's working the counter. The 4th time, the van I rented failed to start due to a faulty key and I was stranded in the desert for about 8 hours. (It was not the key battery- the key's circuitry failed!) I called AVR roadside assistance and the guy truly tried to help me but response time was slow. Had to tow to dealer for a new key. This pretty much ruined my whole trip and I understand that cars breakdown. What ticked me off most was the AVR manager's attitude when I returned the van - looking at me with suspicion and telling me he might not return my deposit! What a jerk! He should have been apologizing to me for my terrible experience and ruined trip.

Horrible experience! It took almost two hours from the time I called for the shuttle until I drove away in the rental. The first issue we ran into was that the company called us an Uber/Lift to pick us up from the airport, which made us feel obligated to tip the driver. I had called ahead and asked about the additional driver policy and was told there was no charge for up to 4 drivers. When I arrived I was told I would be charged extra just to have one extra driver and that he had to ability to adjust that rate. I explained that I called, showed the agent the call on my phone, but he refused to fix it until I basically demanded he call a manager, whom confirmed their policy had changed and that I should not be charged. The agent then adjusted the rate. Then on the contract I was given the rates did not match the Expedia agreement I had. The agent once again said he could not tell me why and that that was the rate. Once again I asked for a manager, he then gave me a phone number to call the manager who was located in a different office. After holding forever, someone else in their office spoke with me and I emailed them a copy of my Expedia agreement. She said she would receive it and call me back. We sat there waiting, finally I went back to the counter and asked what was going on and he told me she had called him and told him to adjust it, that there was an error in their system and I was being charged a duplicate tax. Horrible horrible customer service. Never again! Stay away!

So, a lot of the reviews weren't very nice but, our experience was wonderful. Reservations were in order, shuttle was quick, Carlos checked us out, nice clean van at a very reasonable price. Thanks again. Caprice and family
Great van. Hours were little different then our arrival and departure. They were accomadating though. Van was newer. Price was right. Not too long to pick it up either which is plus when traveling with 8 people most of whom are teenagers.

The experience was great. The clerk helped me in a timely manner. I was in a rush and she was very accommodating. Would rent from them again.
The van we rented was in poor condition on the interior. It was dirty and had been stayed heavily with an airfreshner to cover up a bad smell. I was nauseating to drive after a while.
Easy to access from airport shuttles, nice cars. No concerns!
They didn’t have the correct van ready for us when we arrived so had to wait an extra hour while they kept saying would only take two minutes very frustrating. Otherwise , the van was in good condition and drove wel. No issues with the van. Once we got it.

A little ways from the airport but not too far out. The guys were really helpful and the size of their suvs were affordable with them.
Didn't have the SUV I reserved and tried to give me a pos dodge. I said no and they couldn't find key for my rental....finally got out of there after 40 min. Don't get the insurance either, guy said it was $12 a day and it was actually $36 a day. RIPOFF : ^(
