The best!
The best place to rent!
Airport Van Rental has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
You need to pay your vendors
Prepaid reservation was cancelled on a pretext and then was insulted by staff.
The best place to rent!
I dont even want to give it 1 star but I guess its the only way for me to write a review.... I have been renting Vans from AVR for years, It has been awhile since I rented because of the amount you request for a deposit. I booked a rental last week for the first time since like 2 years ago and it seems that you have changed your policy on mileage.. You use to have unlimited mileage if renting for more than 2 days. Apparently you dont have that for local renters anymore which is ridicoulous. People rent Vans to go on family trips and family trips all always more than 250 miles.. No other rental company has this ridicoulos policy... so of course I had to figure out where I was going to rent a Van. I will never rent from AVR again.. This was very dissapointing!
I was billed 2 x for one rental. The Indianapolis management will not return phone calls and obviously doesn't care. George
The worst car rental company I’ve ever experienced. Shady and unprofessional in every aspect. I had to wait 1.5 hours for the car to become available. They were very pushy about purchasing additional coverage. Then when I retuned the car 1 hour past the return time, they charged me an outrageous additional day rate! At the end of the day I paid triple the original Priceline rate. When dealing with customer service and the manager of the facility, I was even more infuriated at their complete indifference and didn’t even apologize for the 1.5 hour wait I had to endure during pickup. All they said was that based on the contract they had to charge me a whole additional day rental because I returned the vehicle in 1 hour later than the contract time. The worst company, customer service and business tactics ever!! DO NOT rent from this place, they will somehow find a way to rip you off. Go to a reliable big name company.
During my rental period I became ill and required hospitalization with cellulitis and MRSA (aka "staff infection) of both legs below the knee and was on antibiotic IV's for the the next 5 days. Because the van was due back a day before my scheduled release which was far from certain anyway, I asked a friend to return the vehicle for me. It was a trip of less than 2 miles from my home to the AVR location. To show his appreciation for renting his vehicle for almost a month the station manager there, a fellow named Michael, noted that the driver was not authorized to drive the car and reported me to the corporate office for that offense. In his expression of gratitude and appreciation for my repeat business Michael saw fit to help put me on a DNR list. I'll get this rectified but I want others to know about this manager and his attitude toward those who repeatedly use AVR's services and products and try to build a relationship with them.. At well run consistently growing companies with great reputations both with the public who become their customers and with the public who benefit from their activities as a corportate fellow citizen employees are generally elevated to managerial positions because in part they exericise good judgment and excellent customer relationship skills that are required to build lasting positive relationships that wins repeat business and create goodwill in the cummunity where they reside since all corporations whether they mean to or not are partners building a better community. I wonder what criteria AVR use's to recruit retain and reward a guy like Michael. It doesn't feel like any of the foregoing. I've been in sales for years and my goal was always to create in the client a "wow" moment. That is when the client says "wow" in serendipitous reponse to unexpectedly great service especially if it overcomes the negative consequences of trying to do the right thing or a honest attempt to do that. Activities of this nature strenghten the relationship you are creating with the customer. My reaction to Michael's activity was "you're (expletive deleted) kidding me right"? Truly AVR must have other more worthy goals in mind then the forementioned. Where do they find such highminded folks like Michael? Do they seek to acquire brigands or good people of honor with strong moral compasses? It feels like the former. Beware this location. They smile at you just before they thrust the dagger in your back.
I wasn't sure what to think when AVR came up as a result while I was researching SUV rentals in Salt Lake City-- their prices were so much more affordable than their competitors; how could it be?! Sure enough, my experience from start to finish was extremely positive. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were picked up promptly from the airport. The rental itself was in great condition and the price was unbeatable. I will undoubtedly use AVR the next time I'm in the area!
Nice car, nice people, great customer service!
Car and value were great
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
AWESOME! great van clean , Corey was fun and friendly and very well trained. His manager came out to thank us for the business her name was katice. great location i will be doing business with them in the near future!!!
Bait and Switch.. Buyer Beware. My contract agreement and reservation confirmation states UNLIMITED MILES. I booked a couple months in advance, however at arrival the person informed me it was NOT unlimited miles. Being the Friday before Spring Break, there were no other rentals available at other companies. There were 3 other people in line with the same issue. The van was dirty, one seat had orange stains and one seat buckle was missing the holding receptacle, so now we have enough seats and NOT enough seat belts. I had to end up bringing my personal vehicle in addition to the van rental on vacation to keep everyone safe. Upon return of the vehicle, I asked ( and videoed) me asking for a copy of my SIGNED rental agreement. After consulting with an attorney that specializes in Consumer Protection Laws, I was advised to get a copy. The attendant refused to give me a copy of the signed agreement and threatened to call the police. I have everything on video. I could not believe they would hold me to these terms and NOT EVEN give me a copy of the agreement that i signed?? So many ethical issues here, I hear a Class Action Lawsuit down the road for this company. Lesson Learned. Never Again. Save yourself the money and the trouble and book with a more ethical company. I wish I could post a picture of my rental confirmation that shows the big green check mark next to the all caps UNLIMITED MILES indicated. #SoWrong Rated5stars so it would show up on their website. They only post the five and four stars. I believe in full disclosure !
Bad! Really bad experience, i bought the rent car online for 2 days price was about 45$, when i was to pick up the car they asked me 530 final price for the car and 300 for the deposit. So i make a reservation online for 45 $ but really price was 530 and if you cancel riservacion you lost 400$. terrible situation i never rent car in this company again
Great customer service from the receptionist (wish I remembered her name). Getting to her was a very long wait. I stood in line for at least 30 minutes with probably about 6 parties ahead of me and 4 workers seeing people. Seems unacceptable. Besides that, there were a couple of complaints regarding the vehicle itself. Cleanliness of the vehicle was subpar. We had to ask them to "re-vacuum" inside as there seems to be "dirt" or other brown matters in the passenger seats. The smell inside was also not great. We had to stop at a gas station and buy several air fresheners & Febreeze for the weekend. For the price, compared to other quotes I had, the vehicle was tolerable. If going during snow season, I'd suggest buying some tire chains at walmart as these vans do not have great traction in snow/ice. Hopefully you're able to return them after use.
Nice people, good value.
vehicle had to many miles on it showing the wear and tare. address on rentalcars.com shows wrong location for your location. but staff was very friendly
Nilous made the experience exceptional. I had requested a van with a backup camera and folded down seats. He went through the inventory until he could satisfy my request. Thanks Nilous!
Can't speak any more highly of the customer service and professionalism of AVR. We rented 3 vans for 4 days with multiple drivers and they couldn't have been more accommodating to our needs. Can not wait to use them again in April!
My flight was delayed. They called my phone to verify that I was still coming to rent the van. I called them back and verified. When I arrived to get the van, they said I owed more money because my reservation had been canceled. When I said that was not fair he said they had no way of knowing if flights were delayed despite the fact that when I rented the van I put my flight info in and there was nothing they could do. For that reason only I would not rent again.
I was so very pleased with their service :) and loved the van to death it was AWESOME
First and LAST time ever with this company! Both the Los Angeles and Sacramento offices' customer service was poor and very unprofessional. Communication was also very poor and insensitive to their mistake. Never again!
