It took 40 minutes just to get the…

It took 40 minutes just to get the shuttle ride from airport to facility to pick up the van. When we returned our van at the end of the trip the shuttle was delayed too! The guy had to fill their shuttle up with gas which caused the delay. Just a bad experience all around. I will go with a well known company next time.

The Dodge mini van developed a transmission problem

The Dodge mini van developed a transmission problem shortly (about 10 mins away) after leaving the company's LAX rental facility and in heavy LA traffic. I was lucky to get safely out of the street. Called the office and they wanted me to call their roadside assistance. I balked at that because I was so close to their office and after putting up a stink they sent somebody out to bring us a replacement van.

Steer Clear of Airport Van Rental (AVR) in Sacramento

Staff were great, but company policies terrible. It was unclear on Hotwire that this agency was 10 mi away from the Sacramento airport. They send a Lyft driver to pick me up. When I signed up for the car I planned on returning it at 6 p.m. but found out that the agency closed at 4 p.m., big surprise, and I would be charged $21 late fee if I returned the car at the airport after hours. Also another surprise, I would have been charged $149 per day if the van was in an accident for each day it was unavailable. The whole experience felt very sketchy. Definitely would not rent from them again.

AVR was great

AVR was great! We had a nice 7 person van for our rental and were very happy with it! The shuttle service was also great. They even moved locations in between our pick up and drop off dates and it was seamless. The rate to refill the vehicle with gas was even lower than the gas stations. Thanks AVR!

We had bad experience and also we rented for non profit and got email from customer care also but they did not provided the discount during pickup without any reason. Please respect customers what you agreed on booking. We have all proof . We do not reccomend anyone to rent this company

Lots of extra charges and poor service

Van was not ready when we arrived at reservation time. I was told I would need to wait another hour for van to be ready. The van itself was fine but did have a number of scratches, dents, etc. that I was very careful to document after being told about how expensive it would be cover repair costs not covered by my own insurance and felt pressured to buy their insurance. I felt the counter clerk gave me attitude when I declined their insurance. The area where this rental center is located is in what looks like bad area, no close gas stations, and only have a van that runs to the airport every 20-30 minutes. The courtesy van is not available 24-hours per day. I received an additional $33.00 charge 15 days after returning the vehicle for toll roads in Orange County. The toll was actually only around $8 but was charged an additional $5 per day for each day of the rental. The $5 doesn’t go toward paying the toll, just something extra for them. They never explained or reviewed this few during the rental or return process. Also, I was charged a $200 deposit at the time of the rental. This was not disclosed when making the reservation. I was told it would be credited when I returned the van. It took over a week to be returned.

So helpful!

Seriously, the best experience I've ever had with renting a vehicle. The shuttle was waiting for us when we got to the remote lot and took all of us over to get the 15 passenger van. They strongly suggested the full coverage insurance and I'm so glad I got it cause we ended up needing it. If it had not been for their honest persistence, I would've incurred some major debt. We ended up having to leave earlier than expected and there was still someone there at the after hours drop to take us to the terminal. Then when we realized that one of the kids left their cell phone in the van once we were already through security at the airport, Marina went and double checked the vans in the lot and found the phone! She also found my keys (which I completely forgot I left attached to the rental car key) and overnighted them to me back in Atlanta and I had them by 11am the next day. Marina truly went above and beyond. The whole process was easy, quick, and painless. I will definitely be back anytime I need a van in LA!!!!!

Great service. My transport got in 12 hrs late, they held my reservation for me. There van was great, the shuttle service was fast, the employees were very helpful.

The Vans at Advantage Rental

We were given a smelly older Van with almost a quarter tank of gas left which costed us $38 to fill-up and that’s fine but (too stinky !!!??? - we had to buy 2 car fresheners) - over the phone the guy I talked to and made a reservation was very nice and helpful and said their Vans are 2018 and ‘19s .. it turned out they’ve older Vans. After we returned the Van, I went back there for my back support I have forgotten but didn’t get it because the clerk said it’s not in their Lost n Found. Also, when I was refueling the Van to return it with the same amount, we ended filling up to three quarters more because the fuel gauge won’t move when you switch on the ignition key to check (what?? No way..? I did that twice already and still didn’t move so I kept pumping.. did I just got ripped off? That was about $30 more !!? Was something malfunction with the fuel gauge? Another problem was when I checked the Air Filter OMG it was very dirty I ended up cleaning or the engine couldn’t breathe and you’ll have uncomfortable driving as well - dusts papers leaves everywhere how did they all got there? We also checked the tires pressures and found out one was over 50lbs the other one was 46 then 38 I think only was right. She lied when she said the Van was ready because it wasn’t especially when we noticed in the morning that the right side view mirror was cracked (thought it was just some dirts or mud that night) was it the reason why the clerk recommended us to purchase an $80 bumper to bumper insurance coverage?

To start it off we were told shuttle…

To start it off we were told shuttle tuns wvery 15 min. We called and waited 45 min only to load on the van and be told to get off and take our suitcases back out because another family has been waiting over an hour. We got an uber just so we could get to the rental place. We pull up to a hotel and wander through to find a unkept office next to the janitors closet down a hall. Waited over 45 min to get a car. There was only two people working and one was the ahuttle driver. He ce why they couldnt pick people up in a timely manor. Says this is the fadtest growing rental company. No way they will stay in business with lack of employees and lack of leadership.

Great company!

The people were very nice and efficient. Van was clean when we got it and we had no problems with it. Was able to drop off van early morning due to an early flight and just leave the keys in a box, everything went smoothly. Would highly recommend them.

The price was fair... Read on.🤙

The price was fair, the vehicle provided was acceptable but not equipped for Utah weather. It was brought up from California and wasn't prepared for winter driving conditions which is what I really needed. Upon vehicle inspection I pointed out a nail visible in the tire. I asked for another but there wasn't anything available and it was shrugged off by the employee. I told the guy I was going to Colorado and they'd better be ready for a phone call to bring me another vehicle. The car I rented performed exceptionally well as I got to experience white out conditions, 85 miles of snowpacked roads. Anti-lock and traction control up the whazz zoo. Brake/sliding for multitudes of deer crossing roads. When I returned the vehicle, I was charged for extra miles. When I showed the employee the advertisement I used to find this company to rent a car, it is advertised as unlimited mileage. I got screwed on that one but I didn't let this ruin my trip. Ps. I stopped along the way at Big-O tires and they fixed the tire for me.

Nice rental, slow process

Getting the van took awhile. Getting to the place took 30 minutes and checking in took 30 minutes. The van was great. Return was fine. The price was good.
