The SUV was great and the price was incredible.
I was made to feel like I was the first corporate renter that had ever walked into the office. I have an account set up and all of my renter's information on file and it still took more than 45 minutes from the time I walked in until I was handed the keys. I was the only client in the building. At one point I was told that I had to take a 12 passenger van when I had reserved a 15 passenger van because the keys for the 15 were "locked" and would require a manager to release them. The manager came from a building down the street to "unlock" the keys.
We had a puncture on the freeway while driving at 75 miles/hr. Placed a call to Roadside assistance who told me it will cost me 50$ to replace the tire to which we agreed and she told me she will speak to dispatch and will give me a call back in 15 mins with ETA and further details. Half an hour later no call back, we called again who started the process again and told us they are sending someone, instead they sent a state trooper that these people need help who are stuck on the road side. We tried calling again as we had 4 kids in the car and it was a scary situation being stranded on the roadside, to our surprise calling for 15 mins to roadside assistance and service center no one picked up the phone. I finally rerouted my number and called from a different number and guess what got an answer right away. Finally after being on phone for almost an hour with back and fourth finally after being stranded for 3 hours the tire was changed. Unbelievably pathetic service. Will never use this service again. Ever.
I was a little bit skeptical because I had never heard of AVR. They were amazing. Very communicative about questions prior to arrival, easy to reach by text. Small operation. Service checkout girl was the same at checkout and return and super fast and friendly. Shuttle driver was pulling out as I drove in for return. He turned around and came back to get me so I did not have to waid
If you plan with enough time things always work out. People should know that picking up a rental can have its issues. The customer service was amazing and they worked everything out. I will definitely go back for all my rentals.
Almost everything was great. The only negative was that I went to the rental car building at Ontario airport. Nowhere on my rental acknowledgment did it say to call the office first. We had to be picked up by Lyft and taken to your lot. It would have been nice if on the page I printed from expedia, it said to not go to the rental car building, call your office first. Casey Baker
The van itself was good. The brakes were a bit squishy. The service at pick-up and drop-off was not good. We arrived late at night and the van needed to be cleaned up (30 minutes) before picking it up when there were many other vehicles in the lot ready to go. We clearly informed the service representative that we DID NOT want insurance. She informed me to initial that we were turning down the insurance (at $36.99/day) and for me to accept responsibility by initialing on the screen. When we returned the vehicle, she informed me that the total cost now included the extra $259 in insurance fees, When we informed her that we did not sign up for it, she said that you initialed it and we were going to have to pay. She was extremely rude and did not show any respect to the customer. We also spoke with the manager and he defended his rude employee. Its very unfortunate that we had to end this great trip to LAX with a horrible customer experience at AVR. We made a last minute decision to move our reservation from State Van to AVR due to a lower rate only to find out that we paid much more in the long run. I had reached out to AVR via telephone and they informed me to e-mail customer service. 5 days later, still no response. Looking for resolution of this issue but don't think it will be coming any time soon.
The pick up was easy. The woman at the desk was both pleasant and efficient. The van was spotless and in good working order. In comparison with most US cities San Diego is easy to navigate without too much traffic except on I-5. Nice weather with lots to see and do in the area combined with a good vehicle made this a great trip.
The vehicle was pretty good. It was difficult to find the place you must know their number to get pickup from LAX. The airport information desk will guide you to a big parking lot then you would need to call to get picked up. The service could be better to reduce the waiting-in-the-line time. This is especially when you drop the car as you are normally in rush to catch your flight. Overall you get what your paid.

was a little hard locating to return gps took us out of the way and said there when 1/4 mile further away but other then that all good
I never use 5 stars, but the car was exactly what I needed, the service was very, very good. Only thing I would try to improve is the parking.
Patrick and Rachel are the best at AVR in Portland, Oregon. They have always showed me great customer service with smiles on their faces, every time that I’ve rented a van from AVR. I give them 5 stars and I will keep recommending my friends and family to rent vans from them at AVR. I really appreciate them and their hard work.
They took great care of us and made are vacation doable. Staff was great and friendly and rental was clean.

False advertising,they say in internet its DFW and it's in Irving,Texas 15 min away from airport .After you pay with credit card you get a confirmation then 5 min you get a email that it's not in DFW.I will never get any car rental from this place they advertise a different price then when you get there they try to charge you more .I am very disappointed
Best value and nice people. Offered an upgrade but it wasn’t necessary. New clean van with low miles. Overall a great experience. Small location and had to wait a bit for the shuttle, a little longer than the big guys but the value made up for it.
