Adagio Teas

I have been ordering from Adagio for a few years and the only thing I can say bad about them is shipping. I live only 2 hours drive away from them, but for whatever reason shipments take at least 10 days to arrive! Otherwise, the quality of the teas are good and luckily after reading other reviews, I have not needed to contact customer service. Fingers crossed and still waiting for my shipment to arrive.

It's TRUE. It's a bit over a week shy of a MONTH since I ordered with no order in sight (I spent SO much money on my first order with them too!) - sent 3 emails to them asking about my order and have been completely ignored. There's no other way to contact them aside from the contact form on their website. Their "customer service" is non-existent! It was my first and last order. I'm thoroughly disgusted by how this company tries to conduct its business.

Terrible customer service. Sadly I saw on their website that they had a 4.9 Google review and I trusted it. But the Google review for Adagio Teas is actually 3.0. I'm looking for how I can place a negative review for the Adagio.com Google option. This company should not be in business. They took my money, claimed they shipped, but I had to contact them three separate times to request that they contact the shipper to determine that the shipment was "lost" so a replacement could be sent. The shipper's spokesperson, DHL customer service, said they never received the item. There is no contact number for Adagio Teas that allows you to speak with customer service and your only option is to send an email. Today I received an email from customer service stating, "we are still a small company, with a small, but dedicated team to handle each aspect of the business. Our customer service "team" is in fact just one individual." Well, their useless team will never get my business again. EVER.

Whomever rated this company high either had a totally different experience than I am the other orders I made for the relatives or they are paid reviewers. This company delayed and failed to respond to our inquiries despite the fact the product we ordered was a calendar designed to be a different tea starting on the first of the month. The customer service cares not after you have paid.

I placed an order with Adagio and paid using paypal. Apparently there was some problem with this order - at such a point an online retailer would normally use email to contact the customer, or perhaps even just refund the payment; Adagio teas opt to take the less traveled path in such instances, they seem to just assume any payment for orders they are unable to process is a donation. No option on their website for me to cancel the order - so I have had to threaten court proceedings and I am in touch with the police.

We started using Adagio Tea last year. They have Wonderland Elixir which my daughter loves and I like the White Teas they offer. They also have wonderful customer service. If you have a question and ask them they get back to you within a timely manner and are very patient. What more can you want with great tea, great customer service and an easy to navigate website.

If they did not have earl gray bravo I would never do business with them. I am one of their first customers. They hide my loyalty points, forget my password and address. I went to a retail store they opened in Old Orchard, Skokie, Il. I was told anything I buy I could not get reward points for. The next year I was told that the prior clerk was wrong. Did they offer to give me the points their computer said I was entitled to? No. All my other tea I get from a competitor with warmth and joy. Not this company.

Adagio occasionally has special offers they send by email. I have tried to take advantage of two of these, and had difficulties both times because of glitches in their online purchasing system. I frequently buy things online when I can for convenience, and I've never had so much difficulty with an online experience as I have with Adagio. What's worse is when I contacted their customer service, they apologized but did not make things right. For example, the free sample I was supposed to get will instead be available "the next time I make a purchase." This is after they acknowledged the problem being on their end--not having a robust e-commerce tool. They didn't even offer free shipping next time. Shame on them for making it the customer's problem! They ask questions about how they can improve things, but fundamentally they don't have the right attitude about customer service.

Astonishingly bad customer service. Needy and slightly glitchy website could be overlooked, but the evil and blaming CS is just inexcusable.

After several orders, as a private individual, I have now come to rely on Adagio as my only tea supplier (as a house hold we drink gallons!) and have never had any problems. In addition, deliveries have always been prompt. I would recommend Adagio.

Teas are good but the customer service is very poor. I placed an order after receiving a special offer, but they failed to honor the offer and didn't provide one of the items that I ordered. They don't list a phone number on their website, so the only way to get a hold of customer service is through email. When I emailed them about the problem, they were rude and unhelpful, and were not willing to work with me to resolve it. I do not recommend doing business with this company.

oops wrong Adagio

I'm a tea lover and I've been ordering from adagio for years now. The site is fun to shop and the selection is great, plus it's fun to be able to create your own blend. Just once I had an issue with a shipment taking longer than expected; a rep live chatted with me and sorted it almost immediately. Love them.

I love tea, and now that it's getting cold again, I turned to Adagio. I have a few favorites here - the Earl Grey Bravo is amazing - but what I love about this site is that they offer samples for a reasonable price. Many of the samples are only $2 and are enough for several cups of tea. I have tried so many new teas because of this, and some of them have become staples. In addition, the shipping is reasonable (they do offer free shipping from time to time, sign up for their mailing list!) and my order always ships fast and arrives very quickly. I would recommend this site for anyone who loves good quality tea!

If you're an online shopper and a tea drinker adagio is a great site. Fast shipping, great packing and high quality products are a few of the highlights. Their rewards program is a nice incentive to keep trying new teas!

I love Adagio, in fact, their samplers are perfect at $2/tin for most types. I have really broadened my knowledge of tea using their affordable teas. I plan to have almost all of their teas by year end :*). They also allow you to make custom blends and use your own art to make your own label. I love this! Zach provides good review videos on the custom blends too so you can try them as well. Very nice quality for $10!
