I ordered a supplement from this company and only found out when it arrived that it contained an ingredient that was contraindicated to my prescribed drugs and medical condition...in this case, that it would likely cause a rise in blood pressure and not to take if on BP meds, this was not stated on the website and was only on the small print on the bottle when it arrived. I contacted the company to arrange a return, but unfortunately, as I had broken the seal, I was unable to return the item, so I ended up giving it to a friend. I emailed the company, and they were aware of the situation. I then went online and cancelled any further payments and subscriptions.
Then I received an email on 2nd July stating my subscription was being prepared for my alternative email address. I again went online and made sure I had cancelled. However, the money was still taken, and I was sent the subscription, which I am unable to take. I called the company, which said I had cancelled too late, but when I said I wanted to return and get a refund I was told there are no refunds on subscriptions and offered me a credit note, this is despite the fact I had checked my cancelation and told them they were contraindicated with my prescribed medication some weeks before.
I also noticed the caution warning was not on the subscription packet, so had I not read the original label on the bottle, I could possibly have become seriously ill.
The fact that they refuse to offer a refund, that the contraindications are not clearly displayed before purchase, which could be dangerous in this case, and also gaslighted me by saying I didn't cancel earlier, when I know I did, has left a bad impression on me. I will never order from this company again and will be taking action to obtain a refund, as a credit note is not acceptable in this case.
