I flew business class because I had broken ribs from an accident in Vietnam payed for by my insurance company so I could have some extra comfort. I had so dinner asked staff to set my be up and went to sleep. Shortly after this a passenger walked passed me and full force kneed me in the face which obviously woke me up. I needed to use the restroom and although hurt, dazed and shocked as I walked to the toilet he appeared again by assaulting me once again.by punching me in the back of the neck and did four double fists pumps to my back are and ribs. Again I was hurt and shocked and completely baffled why he did it for the second time.i waited outside the lavatory as all others were occupied. when he came out of the toilet he attacked me again punching me in the throat and again 4 double punches in the rib and torso area. I immediately told the Vietnamese air crew and they did absolutely nothing, most airlines (decent ones anyway) would have an air martial on board and would have restrained them with cuffs until the plane landed, but nothing. It was terrifying. I tried to lay back down to try to sleep but no chance. These 2 hooligans were drinking hard spirits from take off at 11am through to 4.30am. A discracefull lack of correct service of alcohol and probably explained why they were so violent. At around 4am I needed the restroom again but both toilets at the front were occupied. So I had to walk to the mid section Toilets which on the way passed to 2 drunken thugs. And here is the worst part, the skinny bald one jumped up immediately end attacked me again by punching me in the throat and scratching me like a woman. Then he sent his fat henchman to further attack me with punches etc, but the worst part being he threw me headfirst 6-7 chairs down the aile hitting chairs, metal frames, customers, you name it. I landed so hard. When I hit the floor the floor I was knocked unconscious. When I came around I was bleeding and very sore. It took 7 airline staff to help me up and take me back to my seat. But guess what, still no restraints or security to protect myself, or passengers. the staff just continued serving them alcohol and laughing and joking with them when I landed, I was taken to Heathrow police station and charged (un real) after 6 hours of custody I took a cab to hospital to get checked out (vietnamese hospitals are shit and super expensive) I spent 20 hours in hospital and had various scans and checks etc. I now fully intend to sue Vietnamese airlines, my lawyers are already on it I just need to wait for my hospital documents. If I can give you one piece of advice do not fly vietnamese airlines. It is completely unsafe no security or safe service of alcohol which is a disaster waiting to happen. Happy travels. Jamie

Returned from holiday recently- took 4 internal flights during Feb 24, including during Tet. All on time, staff professional, planes safe and clean. Highly recommend for getting around the country good vfm.

Flight delay longer than actual travel time

We had booked a flight from Ho Chi Minh to Da Nang on March 14, 2025, with a scheduled departure at 12:00 PM and arrival at 1:20 PM. However, it was rescheduled twice—first to 12:30 PM and then to 1:35 PM. This delay ended up being longer than the actual travel time itself. Based on this experience, I would advise against relying on Vietnam Airlines. On the bright side, the departure gate remained the same at Gate 14.

Unser Flug wurde umgebucht ohne Erstattung der Hotel Kosten

Unser Flug wurde einfach ohne Begründung auf drei Tage später umgebucht. Die Hotel Kosten die dadurch entstanden sind weil wir dieses verlängern mussten, musste von uns selber getragen werden keine jegliche Unterstützung haben wir von der Airline erhalten. Nie wieder fliege ich mit Vietnam Airline. Eine absolute Frechheit!!!!!!!

Vol SIEM Reap Hanoi CDG hier 13 février:je suis Pax Air France impossible de faire le checkin sur votre application avec ma résa et eTicket a j -24 Arrivé aéroport SIEM reap ne suis pas dans informatique😡😡le responsable enregistrement me donne carte embarquement vol VN19 vers Hanoi mais que je dois voir le comptoir a Hanoi pour ma 2ene carte embarquement pour CDG😡🤮🤮 Embarquement Hanoi un bordel sans nom !!ma carte d embarquement ne fonctionne pas nouvelle recherche informatique 😡😡je suis staff Air France!! Après 15 mn on me redonne ma carte embarquement 🤮🤮 Vol correct Arrivée CDG terminal F et non E ..pourquoi Obligé d attendre 20mn dans l avion pour passerelle où on nous débarque sur le tarmac en bus pour le terminal E,puis CDG val pour immigration et bagages Bref je ne recommande absolument pas Vietnam Airlines vers et retour Vietnam/cambodge pour son manque de professionnalisme tant en check in ,personnels au sol et personnels enregistrement /embarquements Ma note est 2/10 Je desce

Paid for extra legroom got 12 hours in a makeshift nursery

I was expecting a comfortable extra legroom seat for my wife and I, aisle and centre seats when I booked with Vietnam Airlines for a return 12-hour flight. What I got instead was a front-row seat to a makeshift nursery with the airlines baby basket right in front of me and my wife, something I was never warned about at the time of booking. Throughout the flight and after - The area in front of my seat became a storage space for nappy bags, baby blankets, food and personal belongings. - Parents changed nappies on the baby basket, filling the cabin with unpleasant smells. -the entertainment stopped working with the baby basket in front. -I got downgraded to another seat where the entertainment system was also defective. -Staff were dismissive and rude insisting I should have just “known” that bulkhead seats are used for baby carriers -one pursor even questioned the validity that I had paid extra to upgrade Had Vietnam Airlines simply been transparent at the time of booking, I could have made an informed decision. Instead, I was tricked into a seat that ruined my entire flight experience.

DO NOT FLY WITH VIETNAM AIRLINES

DO NOT FLY WITH VIETNAM AIRLINES I travelled from Australia to Europe in July 2024 and the experience was acceptable I chose to fly from Australia to Europe again in February 2025 for my ski trip to Austria I was advised that i could only take one check in bag. I have skis and poles! The standard suitcase is 90 x 60 x 30 (162 cubic) My ski bag is 180 x 36 x 18 (116 cubic) I was told that i would have to pay $600USD to take my skis I've been argueing for a month with these clowns that my ski bag is smaller than a suitcase but they just do not listen!!! Avoid Customer service is the worst I've experienced

Overselling of premium economy then downgraded with no compensation

Avoid! Do not book Vietnam airlines to or from Australia! They bumped us (and others) from premium economy to economy with no compensation from vietnam to Sydney and have now done the same on the return flight. They oversell the premium economy seats and refuse to refund. If you try and contact them they just ghost you. Avoid! I travel to Paris and back twice yearly and am a platinum member but I will never book with them again.

Être avec le bon équipage

Communication à faire avec certains Equipage à l aller détestable pas communicatif. 11 h d avion c est long alors avec un équipage comme ça... Au retour équipage très attentif,dans la bienveillance c est dommage pour les gens qui prennent l avion ,il faut tomber sur le bon équipage ou ne pas prendre Vietnam airlines.chose que je ferai a l avenir.

E-ticket Probleme am Check-Inn

Wir sind schon 2 mal problemlos mit VA geflogen, aber diesmal wurde uns am Vietnam Airlines Schalter in München und sogar nach einer telefonischen Nachfrage in deren Zentrale mitgetelt, dass das Ticket unseres Sohnes nicht in deren System auffindbar wäre. Wir waren/wurden gezwungen ein neues Ticket vor Ort in München zu buchen. Ein riesen Stress am Schalter, obwohl wir 3 Stunden vorher da waren, den Flug kurz vor Gateöffnung noch erreicht. Nach Mitteilung von check24 wurde hier wohl eine Änderung/Stornierung vom Ticketausteller / Vietnam Airlines selbst beim einer Ticketnummer vorgenommen, ohne eine Information und Benachrichtigung an uns zu geben, unglaublich. Bis heute, 5 Wochen und viele E-Mails/Refundanfragen später, noch keine Erstattung, obwohl uns diese, zumindest teilweise avisiert wurde. Da scheint es beim Service und Checkinnpersonal in München viel Verbesserungspotential zu geben, da wir von 2 Familien mit ähnlichen Problemen erfahren haben. Das Personal in Ho-Chi-Minh dagegen war sehr freundlich und hat "ihren Job" gut gemacht. Wir werden diese Airline unter diesen schlechten Erfahren beim Checkinn/Service in München und den zusätzlichen Mehrkosten nicht mehr nutzen. Auch der "angepriesene" Refundservice scheint seine Aufgaben nicht ernst genug zu nehmen.

Deuxième long trajet avec Vietnam…

Deuxième long trajet avec Vietnam Airlines, Phnom Pen Paris CDG avec 1 escale à Vientiane et une à Hanoï, excellent en tout point ! Aucun retard, aucuns bagages manquants, service à bord exceptionnel, lingettes tissus rafraîchissantes au départ et lingettes chaudes pour le réveil avant le petit déjeuner. Places en eco premium spacieuses et confortables (à peine plus chères). Le personnel Navigant au petit soins, toujours aimable et souriant. Les sanitaires toujours impeccablement propres, jusqu’à l’arrivée, choix dans les repas copieux et de qualités (comparé à de nombreuses autres compagnies ), boissons à volontés et distribution de bouteilles d’eau à plusieurs reprises. L’avion était propre, moderne avec de grands écrans pour regarder un grand choix de films récents, séries et documentaires. Nous re voyagerons avec cette super compagnie sans hésitation, elle ne mérite pas certaines mauvaises notes données….

Absolutely terrible experience

Absolutely terrible experience. They delayed our flight by 3 hours with only a few hours notice to combine with another one of their flights to save them money (and this flight was cheaper than what we paid!). No compensation or apology. This would have completely messed up our Vietnam holiday plans. When asking for a refund they charged a fee and excluded taxes so we will lose about 40%. No confirmation yet of refund despite asking multiple times. Just fly one of the low cost, at least you know what you get. Vietjet got us there fine in the end.

A plesant surprise

As a former Travel Manager I am critical but I was very surprised by this airline. It is not bad. 2 international flights ex London in Premium Economy 5 internal flights in economy. Pre flight: Lufthansa cancelled my connection.Vietnam Airlines rebooked me and rang to check. Airport - staff were friendly and efficient Aircraft B787 & A321 Good flights , but interiors need a refurb, seat on return did not work properly. Service - not brilliant but acceptable. Food - it is,airline food, avoid Entertainment - not great but ok Compared to BA they get my vote

In drei Wochen viermal Vietnam Airlines geflogen. Freundliches serviceorientiertes Personal, jederzeit ansprechbar auch für Sonderwünsche bei den Getränken. Sehr gerne wieder in den modernen und sauberen Maschinen.

The only airlines where I starved!!

The only airlines where I starved!!! 15hrs flight with only 2 meals. We were asking for noodles in the middle and were advised that they wouldn't serve noodles if the fasten seat belt sign is on. It never turned off for 10hrs more until we were served the 2nd meal. Horrible service. Snack provided was a small pack of biscuit. What a joke! Will never fly this again.

En fait il s'agit de leur sous-traitant…Pacific Airlines

En fait il s'agit de leur sous-traitant Pacific Airlines qui est utilisé sur le vol intérieur HCM city / Cam Ran (Nhatrang) compagnie à bas coût et à bas services! A l'aller nous avons décollé avec une heure de retard pour 45mn de vol ! Sans aucune informations sur les écrans et par annonce puis le vol de retour à été retardé de 50 mn mais nous avons été averti la veille au soir par courriel en vietnamien...Du coup nous allons manquer de temps pour aller déjeuner à Saïgon car à l'aller comme au retour nous étions en correspondance pour Bangkok, insupportable cet compagnie, autant nous sommes satisfait de Vietnam Airlines depuis la France autant il faut éviter les vols de Pacific Airlines !!!
