This was the first time we booked with Vietnam airlines. It happened first time in my life as well. We lost our baggage, Airlines gave us 48hrs timeframe to wait for a reply because they couldn't track it. Now it is going to be more than 48 hours and we have not received any reply. I tried to call so many times, however, after waiting in queue call gets disconnected automatically. First and last time with Vietnam, if our issue won't be resolved. food was good, catering was good. Flight on time. I forgot to reroute my luggage, so it was lost in CDG airport in Paris (my transit place). Vietnamairlines contacted CDG and shipped the luggage to my home in 5 days afair. Not the fastest but I was just happy that I could receive it. I lost a valuable item inside, but, I think it was not Vietnamairlines fault. I had good experience with the flight and the service. Maybe because I'm Vietnamese.
I want to book for pet reservation from Paris to HCM city. Even though I booked the whole ticket on their direct website, they denied this is their responsibility. Their customer service is awful, or in more honest word, horrendous. When I tried to reach them, they kept sending one message repeatedly. Still, no pet reservation was made. This is the last time I travelled with this horrible airline.
I have flown with Vietnam Airlines both domestically in Vietnam and regionally in Asia quite a few times now and have never had a problem. You hear the horror stories (there are a lot of 1-star reviews on this site), but as of yet I've been satisfied. The Lotusmiles program is super-stingy though.
J'ai été à l'aéroport CDG le 9 juin 2021 pour prendre le vol Paris-Hcm via Hanoi. Dès le début, il m'a été impossible de m'enregistrer au comptoir Business car mon billet d'avion n'a pas été activé par Vietnam Airlines. La personne au comptoir a appelé Vietnam Airlines mais à chaque fois, ils vous raccrochent au nez. Je suis arrivé à 8h00 et j'ai dû attendre jusqu'à 10h30 pour aller à la porte 5 pour me faire enregistrer au comptoir Golden Lotus alors que je suis en Business. Entre temps, j'ai contacté par mail, Vietnam Airlines de Paris pour leur faire part de ma mésaventure. Comme par hasard, j'ai pu m'enregistrer et poser mes bagages. Puis au comptoir d'enregistrement numéro 5, j'ai posé mes 3 valises et ma caisse que je trainais depuis 8h00 du matin. Avant, Vietnam Airlines répartissait l'ensemble des poids des bagages. J'ai chargé chaque valise à 23 kilos alors que j'avais le droit à 32 kilos par valise. L'opératrice m'a dit que je devais payer 150 euros pour une caisse de 10 kilos. J'ai refusé. Maintenant, VNA ne compte plus le poids sur l'ensemble des bagages mais juste le nombre de pièces que vous avez. C'est du vol ! Tout est fait sur cette compagnie pour se faire un maximum de profit. Si vous voyagez comme moi en business, pensez à charger votre valise jusqu'à 32 kg. Quand je pense qu'auparavant, ils nous ont dit qu'il ne fallait charger les bagages jusqu'à 23 kilos pour soulager le travail des transporteurs de bagages. Si vous pouvez ne pas voyager par cette compagnie, faites le car vous risquez d’être déçu. Cette compagnie a l'habitude de maltraiter ses clients et c'est la même politique pour le pays. Ils ont fermé le pays depuis 2 ans et c'est nous qui en faisons les frais. Nous ne sommes pas des pigeons pour accepter de tels comportements et attitude d'une compagnie qui ne fait aucun effort. Vraiment déçu !! N'achetez pas de vols chez eux, le confort est inférieur aux autres compagnies. Et n'en parlons pas du divertissement. Vous voilà prévenu. Voilà mon avis.
Excelente companhia aérea. Pontualidade, eficiência e simpatia extrema para com os clientes. Quando os voos foram cancelados em 2020 devido ao Covid, de imediato efectuaram o reembolso. Sem dúvida uma companhia de confiança. Ansiosa por voltar a voar com eles
Hatte für 2020 Flüge nach Bali gebucht, die aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie von der Airline selbst storniert wurden. Das heißt, das Flugzeug ist gar nicht erst gestartet und somit hatte ich ein Recht auf Rückerstattung der Tickets. Nachdem mir das per E-Mail zugesagt wurde, bekam ich lediglich das Geld für die Sitzplatzreservierung zurück, im System von Vietnam Airlines wurde aber die Rückerstattung als "vollständig" gekennzeichnet. Nach mehreren Anrufen im Frankfurter Servicezentrum und vielen E-Mails nach Vietnam wurde mir bestätigt, dass noch eine Rückerstattung aussteht und diese bald vollzogen wird, jedoch kam nie was. Als ich dann flightright einschalte, kam eine weitere E-Mail von Vietnam (kurzer Hoffnungsschimmer), danach war es aber wieder still geworden, sowohl von der Airline als auch von flightright. Erst als ich Monate später (Oktober 2021!) nochmals eine Mail nach Vietnam schrieb und damit drohte, rechtliche Schritte einzuleiten, kam das Geld innerhalb von einem Werktag zurück aufs Konto. Meiner Meinung nach war das eine bewusste Abzocke und diese Airline ist für mich Geschichte.
Extremely dissapointed in how Vietnam Airlines handled the pandemic by not offering any refunds for a cancelled flight that was part of a return ticket from London to Tokyo. Extremely unfair practices, I will never fly with them again.
I bought ticket from kuala lumpur to ho Chi Minh through budget air, the flight canceled due to covid 19, they keep sending same email, Vietnam airlines still have not approved refund. The last email they sent I have to reschedule for travelling before dec 2021. It does not make sense ask customer to travel while the government still banned foreigner to visit. Both budget air and Vietnam airlines always have their reason to cheat customer money
Vietnam Airline is stealing miles (to expire) which were gain with other Skyteam Partners. When they are unable to fly because of Covid. Services has always been bad with them and they are now a bench of thieves.
Waiting for a promised refund for 5 months. I had an internal flight cancelled last year due to Covid. The airline has agreed I am owed a refund but yet they continue to find an excuse each month for why the refund has not been paid. They have yet to respond to my latest email asking for an update and for an escalation path within the airline. Dreadful experience and I will never use this airline again.
It was swift and easy when they take your money but post-purchase service is horrible, terrible, they would test your patience to the max. they changed my flight schedule - which was fine,and as I chose for refund in voucher form, this is where the issue began. it has been taking me 27days and countless phone calls and emails, we are talking 2 digits here.. for them to finally refund the booking in voucher form PART BY PART, so it took me 10+ emails and calls to get a refund for 1 passenger, and then another round of equal efforts for another passenger, until this point it has been 1 month and they still have not refunded me completely yet. "Online support Dept" seems to have a tiny team of 1-2 persons or they are just not in the mood for working. Your emails will confirm go to the universe's black hole. Speechless, waste of my time. never again.
I bought the flight ticket to Osaka through budgetair.com at March 2020, which is so called the "Premium Package" and i can request for full refund if there is the cancellation either from the Airlines or from my side. Due to the Covid-19 issue and the airlines had cancelled the filght. I had requested budgetair.com to request for refund since March 2020. However, they informed me the there was no response from Vietnam Airlines until now. I personally wrote in the e-mail to their so called official e-mail address. They replied me that their system shows that the money had been refunded. When i asked them about the reference number for the refund, they can't even provide me!!!! There was no money refunded at all but they xlaimed they had refunded the money to me. This is realky disappointing. I will boikot Vietnam Airlines for my whole life.
Worst Customer Service Experience. 1. My flight from Osaka to Melbourne on March 30th was CANCELLED within 3 days of booking and THEY DID NOT INFORM ME. 2. I repeatedly called, no answer. I e-mailed MULTIPLE TIMES, also no answer. When eventually they answered, every reply was so GENERIC and useless. 3. Submitted 5 refund forms since early February and NONE has gotten back to me. I honestly will never ever book with this airline again. I contacted the customer service line and the lady who answered sounded so... angry. Not hospitable. Shame.
Warte seit über einem Jahr auf die schriftlich zugesagte Erstattung. Keine Reaktion auf E-Mails oder Anrufe. Nie wieder.
AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. We were due to fly in October 2020, returning mid November. Like everybody else this didn’t go ahead due to Covid-19. We have been emailing this company since August trying to get a refund. Not only did they not inform us that the flight had been cancelled, but they are claiming they have refunded us when they’ve done no such thing. Cue back and forth emails every other week trying to find out what’s going on and having no response, I am now going through my credit card company to try and sort this. They should be reported for this, keeping our money for flights that didn’t even go ahead!!! Absolutely disgraceful, it has put us off going to Vietnam and we will most definitely NOT be flying with this company if we do choose to rebook. I recommend you do not have anything to do with this company!
So back last March when I went travelling Asia, I had 2 flights to Vietnam and 2 flights back to London fully paid for from the year before. I ended flying Vietnam alone. After 3 days I then flew into Thailand from Vietnam and was there a week. I had a return flight back from Vietnam to London, however with the corona virus, when it come to returning I wasn’t alloud back into the country (Vietnam) and had to then pay a further £480 to get a flight back from Thailand/ Bangkok on the last flight they had back to the Uk. I had received a email from Vientnam airlines to tell me my flight was being delayed 4 days, then 3 days later to tell me it had been cancelled altogether. This was very scary as I was already alone, 13 hours across the world. This cut my travels 2 weeks. These flights were booked way in advance, way before we herd of the corona virus. I have tried contacting VIETNAM AIRLINES on some advice multiple times on PHONE, EMAIL, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM and I’m getting no response back. While thinking of all this over the last few months, I also come to realise when I got to the airport I had to book a flight to Thailand to prove I wasn’t going to be in the county for 3 weeks at a time, as 3+ weeks is the only time you need a visa, yet VIETNAM AIRLINES still made me buy a EMERGENCY VISA to even board the plane. This was unnecessary. When I booked this holiday after a struggle through the last 2 years with depression and anxiety, I thought this would be my gateway to abit of freedom and get to know myself again. When in fact it brought nothing but worry as not one person was able to point me in the right direction being that far away from home. I booked this flight with backpackers premium insurance which was £89 just for the 3 weeks, just to give me some reassurance. I know we have all got our own business issues, I myself have a business of my own, and the struggle we’ve had to face this year has been the hardest of them all, but if the flight hasn’t gone and they are still keeping the money and can’t contact me back, then is not the best way to go about it. After going on trust pilot and seeing many other people have had the same issue as me with poor contact and hearing nothing back from them, it really is appalling how a big company like this can just ignore hard working people that would have saved hard for a holiday of a life time.
As with many other reviews I. Here I too had return flights booked for November and one domestic flight. Have replied to email requesting which option I required. We chose refund. I sent the card information they request then nothing.... I have email 5 times now with nothing but the standard 'we have received your email' response. Rubbish customer service. They never even let us know the flight was cancelled. I was hopeful to just eventually get a reply but reading on here people still waiting for refunds from March hopes have now faded. I will not be letting this go and will also get legal advice. DO NOT RECOMMEND
