I purchased the Mountain and Sea Blue Travel Tea set as a Christmas present for my friend. He is a big fan of tea, the outdoors, and the Japanese aesthetic.The set is even nicer looking in person than it is in the pictures! I am really amazed how gorgeous the tea pot is, it is a really high quality set. It is minimalist, and refined. It is a perfect blend of practical and artistic.The quality is great, the ceramic is thick and sturdy. The ceramic glaze has a really nice texture. I really like the strainer. In the past I have had issues with other sets that have a strainer basket where after a few uses the basket starts to break away from the seal. The Umi set uses a strainer made of one piece of metal so this is not an issue.The case is really good quality as well. I was suspicious of the travel worthiness of the set, but definitely think you could take these places. We have used the set several times and I am very satisfied with the purchase. I definitely would recommend buying, and am thinking about buying another one for myself.

The tea caddy’s are delicately painted and absolutely stunning! Tea was so good my British husband has switched from his traditional tea to the ones I bought through Umi. Customer service was amazing. Fast and helpful when buying gifts for my husband. The packaging was great. I will be a customer for life!

Umi's delivery was great and timely. It was a gift for my wife, and it came quickly in time for me to wrap it and surprise her! The set itself is very beautiful and it works as promise. There was no damage or anything, which is what i was worried about during delivery since I know these sets can break. But they protected the tea set with foam and wrap. I bought the Koi tea set specifically. It is very accurate to the website pictures. I know I have ordered items on other websites where the pictures did not match what was delivered, but Umi’s pictures online are very accurate. The Koi tea set also functions very well! It is not only artistically beautiful, but it is also functional. The tea pot and set are easy to hold and drink, and easy to use and clean. My wife and I have used the tea set 3 times so far with no issue, no breakage, or any issues. Our friends love coming over for tea with the tea set, and it makes for a nice conversation piece, or it can be a nice decoration on the table as well. I am thinking I might buy other sets as wedding gifts for my friends!

It is made out of Yixing clay and it’s craftmanship amezes me. Looks good on my tea table and I use it every day since I baught it. I ordered a gungfu pitcher and a strainer from here. The quality was nice, the only issue that I came across was that the strainer holder was missing paint that was in the picture but I was informed that they all looked that way. The pitcher was black with a pretty design on it. It was nice and solid and felt very high quality. As for the strainer, other than the aforementioned paint issue, it’s also nice quality and works well. Shipping was relatively fast and customer service was very helpful and quick to respond. Within just a few emails we were able to resolve the issue that I was having in a very friendly manner. I’ve used them a few times in gungfu tea ceremonies. They are a great accommodating aesthetic for the ceremony and really bring it all together.
