I ordered the ebony tea utensils set with ceramic fu holder a few months back and absolutely love it. A friend of mine introduced me to Umi Tea. He swears by their products and quality with all of the purchases he has made. I too now understand the value in purchasing through them. They offer a wide variety of tea products from those who enjoy tea here and there or hard core daily Gongfu style tea practices. I first ordered elsewhere and the utensil set looked similar. Their tools fell apart easily, scratched and dented, and did not hold up for even a few days. The set I ordered from Umi Tea is utilized almost daily, and has held together extremely well. The quality is very good, but the design and visual appeal is even better. I have a tea set up in my kitchen, and the tools are always out on display. The shipping can be tricky tho, having to go through customs and all. Do not be surprised if there is an unexpected delay in delivery! That is not Umi Tea’s fault. Either way, I am positive it will be worth any delay as you will have a quality product that will last!

I sent a tea set to my brother and my sister in law. They absolutely loved it! The amount of sets to choose from made it easy for me to find the one I thought would be most fitting for their home. There's beauty and art that goes into each set, you can't but love them all. Pricing is affordable. I didn't spend as much as I thought I would. I will definitely be gifting my friends and family through this website!

I ordered a small, portable tea set in a container box (called “Japanese Small Tea Set With Travel Bag”) so that I can have a tea session with my friends when I am not at home. When it arrived, sadly the three small cups were missing because when it went through customs in Germany they opened the package to check it and forgot to put the cups back in. I contacted the support and received and answer super quickly only 4 hours later! They told me no problem, we will send you new cups and they also threw in a tea pet free of charge! They arrived and now I am happy with the complete set and also the tea pet, which I couldn't even find on the website, so it must be a very special one ;) I also tested the Tea set on a one month meditation retreat where I had about 2-3 tea sessions per day and me and my room mates absolutely loved the whole set. One should keep in mind that it only fits 180 ml (as stated in the product description), so when you fill it with water, don’t fill it up to the top. Leave some room or the water will spill when you insert the strainer with the tea. Overall I was very happy with my experience and especially the support, so thank you a lot for everything! I will definitely order some more tea goodies in the future from you :)

This company is a scam, pictures are not the same as what you receive even the people who like what they receive you can tell in their pictures that it’s not the same as the actual product they bought. Second point, they are dodgy when it comes to handling All mistakes express shipping for me was not express shipping so they refunded me, the items I received were not the same as the picture, when I sent it back it cost me $150 which they are not going to pay so I lose out of my pocket … So keep that in mind if you’re planning to give a return item, and then the refund is done so that they can cheat and hope That you don’t notice. All in all it was an absolute horrendous experience. I would not recommend buying from this company especially when they’re selling you knockoffs from the pictures they show.

My daughter has grown up around tea ceremony and has moved to New York City and has been serving tea to her friends. I didn't want to send her family heirlooms yet but I wanted her to have a good tea set to practice tea ceremony. I bought an inexpensive set from Umi and she loved it. The quality was excellent for the price and it makes me really happy that she is pouring tea to her community.

Recently purchased a tea cup with a wooden hande. Purchase was smooth, it took some time to deliver but acceptable as delivery was free. The cup is nice, and pleasant to drink from only little downfall that it's my own fault that I didn't check the size as I was expecting bigger cup. Overall happy with the purchase Thank you

I ordered a small foldable table, advertised as solid wood. It was not solid wood but veneer and the veneer was not even applied consistently. It did not resemble the picture. The fittings are cheap looking. One rubber foot was missing. They offered a refund but cost of shipping was more than the table cost. They did offer other items to replace and I chose 2 teapots. One was chipped but useable, but I won’t use as I’m concerned about possible lead contamination as I no longer trust the information given.

I ordered one Double Wall Stainless Steel Tea & Coffee Cup. I figured if I really like it, I will order a few more for a set. I cannot say enough good things about my experience purchasing from Umi Tea Sets. I bought a Japanese clay tea set, and it’s both aesthetically and functionally brilliant. It arrived looking picturesque: it was almost as though the pot I purchased was the one in the picture! Considering the distance it was shipped, as well, I was extremely pleased that such a delicate piece arrived without any chips in the clay or blemishes in the paint. It was extremely well-packaged. umiteasets.com truly does carry authentic teaware. Something I truly appreciate is the certification that came with the beautifully packaged Yixing tea pot & cup that I’ve purchased. Umi also proved information on the maker of these wares and exactly where they’ve come from so that’s pretty cool. Also, the tea pot and cup was received in a beautiful padded box which is worth storing away in case you become interested in traveling with your teaware which is something I do so that was an unexpected perk in my eyes. Great service, great shipping, and great items! I ordered the Thickened Glass Wooden Handle Teapot and afterwards, the Electronic Flat Teapot Warmer. My teas look pretty in the glass teapot, but I also use it for coffee. My teapot is also a decanter now, although the lid on the teapot isn't quite sealed to the decanter. Ends up loosening and falling off sometimes, so make sure to hold the lid when pouring or don't use the lid at all! Can't say I'm disappointed by the teapot warmer either! Underestimated how long and how hot it kept my tea warm or really any other hot liquids I drink while I work and forget about... Price isn't too bad either. Now, I give it a 4/5 rating!!! Oh yeah! Wow!

I received my Da Hong Pao Oolong Tea Gift Set from Umi Tea Sets on May 8, 2024. I ordered it in late April and was very happy with the quick shipping! For the price I paid, I was not expecting very much but I was very pleasantly surprised when my package arrived! My tea set was boxed very nicely and was genuinely lovely! The gift bag was extremely nice. Most importantly, the tea set itself was better than expected and just the right size for one person, or two. I recently purchased a very functional porcelain mug which came with an infuser, lid, and plate. I had been looking for an item like this for a while, which is very specific and hard to find, so I am happy to have stumbled upon this retailer. The quality of the mug is excellent. Well built and sturdy. A very smooth glaze on the porcelain which also seems to resist stains quite well. It is also beautifully decorated. They shipped fast and the mug arrived in one piece. So far, my personal experience has been great.
