When my lovely set of Umi tea Cups arrived, one of them was broken. First I enjoyed my some organic lapsang souchong tea from Yunnan, savoring every drop in these exquisite lotus tea cups, then I emailed Umi Tea Sets about the broken tea cup.Before I even had an opportunity to email them a photo of br broken cup,Umi Tea Tea Sets sent me an email, that my broken cup wold be replaced.This is genuine Chinese courtesy, service with a smile.

Do not to do shopping in this online store I was so excited with my purchasing in Umi tea sets. And I was so upset when I received my goods. I have ordered Iron Teapot and upon unpacking it was a surprise. The small chips were found on the lid and handle does not work properly. I made several pictures with defects and have sent to the seller. The seller said it is ok. Then I one more time have sent pictures and described all in more details. It is really dangerous because of boiled water in a kettle. The seller agreed with it and approved returns. Since this Monday 24/04, I do not have an opportunity to hear from anybody regarding my reimbursement. Meanwhile, the parcel has been received 20/04. And I have all confirmation and receipts. One can draw conclusions.

The tea set arrived very well packaged from Hong Kong. It arrived in perfect condition. It did take a while as it was an international delivery and had to go through USA Customs. They packaged it very well.

I ordered 5 items - 3 caddies, 1 tea brush and 1 tea pet. I received the caddies and brush and I am happy with them. However, I have yet to receive the tea pet, which cost £19.95. In the 2 months since I placed my order, I have emailed Umi Tea Sets several times but have not received a reply, not even an automated one. I have written off the cost of the tea pet as I don’t expect to get any response from the vendor at this point. I would like to warn other potential customers that if you have a problem with your order, prepare to be stonewalled and lose your money.

By the way, there is a small note -- The Ruyao tea set has some of the loom lines around it. Without a careful look, it is hard to find. And after using many times, it will become clear and obvious, forming a wire texture. This is the characteristic of the tea set, not a defect. The lines will not affect the use of the tea set, so that I don't worry about this.
