Umi Tea Sets

I've ordered from umi teasets a couple of times now, and have always received quality products. The glassware and teapots are always of good quality and great condition and it has become my go to place for buying tea-ware online. Have yet to try their teas however I am super excited to try them sometime.

Where to start, From the get go, I had help from the customer support live chat. The live chat is instant and there is a lovely customer service member waiting to help with anything you can think of, very polite, kind, respectful and professional. After ordering by credit card, the process itself is very simple, fast and easy. I got a notification by email for the order. The delivery took 10 days to Sydney, Australia which is quite fast, it arrived swiftly with no problems at all. The packaging had no problems with it. As someone who uses Gongfu brewing of green and oolong tea, I truely consider myself a Connoisseur and have been drinking high quality Chinese loose leaf tea for 4 years now. Through this time I have tried many different tea utensils from different companies. I would say there has been a major difference in quality and I have found a wonderful true company worth sticking to that I will trust. The new teaware I have recently received from Umiteasets I've been using for many months daily and every single time I have been utterly delighted. The quality of product speaks for itself. It is so beautiful and sturdy, my satisfaction is beyond measure. I have already recommended it to family and am planning to get something for them as a gift in future. For anyone on the fence about trying Umiteasets I assure you, you absolutely will not regret it! I wish I could attach pictures of what I received.

I have ordered from Umi Tea Sets a couple of times and have been very happy with my orders both times. My first purchase was a purple clay tea set, including a gaiwan, teapot, 6 teacups, 2 aroma cups, and a tea pitcher, which I got at an absolute bargain while on sale. The pieces were lovely and well made. They looked just as advertised, the shipping was on time, and everything came well packed. My other purchase was earlier this year. I bought two very beautiful wooden display shelves to show off my ridiculous teaware collection. I was a bit worried that they would get damaged during shipping as they are quite delicate looking. However they turned up relatively quickly and in one piece. Obvious care had been made when packing them. both times I've ordered I have taken advantage of Umi Tea Sets sales and free shipping events, which is great for me as shipping to my country is often very expensive. I have been very happy with all aspects of their customer service so far and have heard similar positive feedback from others. So I would recommend looking at their website if you're looking for some nice teaware and a reliable seller.

My tea set arrived in great condition; very thoroughly packaged for shipping and reasonable time frames for international shipping. It's beautiful, just as pictured and my partner loves the gift! The pot holds a surprising amount for being small and dainty, and the candle warmer keeps it at the perfect temperature for hours. It does drip a bit, as all teapots do, but the saucer will catch it. Like I said the whole set is slightly smaller than I thought it would be, but that's on me for not carefully reading the dimensions. It doesn't affect the functionality or design, it's just more of a "dainty" set. You would only be able to have 6-8 cups of tea from a single pot. It's pretty easy to wash, and has a nice metal spiral on the inside of the spout to catch loose leaf teas. The spoons I got were actually slightly different from the pictures, actually flower shaped instead of the usual round spoon, but it's actually prettier this way. The metal beautifully accents the rich green colors, and I love the modern design! All in all, a very well designed pot, perfect for when you want to have a more upscale, special time with friends or loved ones. Highly recommend!

As an avid tea drinker I was very enthusiastic about receiving this product. You wouldn’t believe how much tea I have around the house. I wanted to get the perfect Gaiwan for my Puerh tea and oolongs. I didn’t know a lot about Gongfu a d Gaiwan tea cups, but the website was very informative and it was very helpful which enabled me to pick the perfect Gaiwan for my needs. I bought the Gongfu Yixing clay tea cups as they have the best reputation and also retain the flavour of the tea, making every cup an new experience. When my item arrived I was surprised how quickly it came and how well it was packaged which helped avoid any damage. Five stars for this alone. I then immediately went about making myself the perfect cup. These cups are extremely well made and each one has its own unique design. You can tell these are handmade with care and attention. They also manage to hold the heat and keep the tea warm. The Gaiwan tea cups are light and well shaped to hold in one’s hands and smell, and then drink the tea. The colours are just so vibrant with intricate designs. I am definitely tempted to by a whole set when I can afford to. These items - if looked after properly, could be in the family for decades. I am very satisfied with the purchase. I suggest you look at their products. You won’t be disappointed. Great tea sets and cups. Have ordered 4 teapots and various tea sets, cups, tools and pets from Umi. The higher end hand made tea pots are spectacular. One of the lidded tea cups with calligraphy is my favorite. While one tea pot broke in shipping, Umi immediately replaced it without fail. I definitely recommend their products and have always appreciated both their customer service and great communication throughout the buying and shipping process. Definitely encourage using their chat function to ask questions to ensure you get the best items to meet your tea needs.

I’m not a tea drinker but my wife is a very enthusiastic tea drinker. You wouldn’t believe how much tea we have around the house. I wanted to get her a nice tea cup. I didn’t know anything about Gongfu tea cups. So I set out to learn. I bought two Gongfu tea cups, one for a present for her and I decided I would try some teas. I’ve had some in the past that were delightful. I bought 1 ea handmade Jian Zhan Blue Gongfu tea cup with Sterling Silver and a handmade Jianzhan Purple Gongfu tea cup with Sterling Silver. They arrived quickly and were in very nice boxes to protect, and store them. The sterling silver insets are very nicely detailed. And the sterling silver helps hold the heat to keep the tea warm. The Gongfu tea cups are light and well shaped to hold in one’s hands and smell, and then drink the tea. The colors are just so vibrant with stunning designs. The blue Gongfu cup is very stylish and the sterling silver koi at the bottom is pretty cute. The purple sterling silver dragon cup is right in my wheel house. I like dragons, what can I say? I am very satisfied with the purchase. I suggest you look at their products. You won’t be disappointed.

I have bought from Umi for a very long time, back when they used to be called colorfultea! They have the best selection of high quality tea and tea sets. I have tried to purchase tea from other stores but come back because the superior taste of the tea is distinguishable. My favourite is the green tea pearls, extremely fragrant and the flavours are still strong for multiple steeps. The customer service is wonderful! The live chat is always there to help quickly and provide advice. My go-to tea store!

I ordered their monkey king tea pet for my friend and he loved it! It was delivered very quickly and the packaging was extremely secure. I mean the box had layer after layer after layer of packing tape around it, and so did the product on the inside (after being wrapped in bubble wrap), to the point I would have been genuinely shocked if the pet broke in transit. I was also happy to see the tea pet was made of actual clay instead of plastic or ceramic so it is perfect for its purpose. It was very sturdy and very cute, and my friend was so excited to get it. I cannot wait to see what it's unique smell will be! I was worried about not being able to find a good site that is locally owned or operated by tea farms in either China or Japan, but this one seems to be! I'm very pleased with my purchase and all the different options on the site. They have beautiful tea trays, tea sets, and tea pets that I had an extremely difficult time choosing between. I would recommend Umi tea sets to anyone and I will definitely be buying from the site again!

Customer service was great. Selection is amazing. Everything came well packaged and promptly! The care that went into making sure my order arrived safely definitely impressed me. I would order from Umi again when I want to replace old teaware. I use what I ordered daily and the yixing gaiwan is by far my favourite brewing vessel that I have owned! The only thing, I would say, that could be improved is having Cha Bu as options to purchase. It seems like tea trays are the only options. The tray I received is absolutely fantastic though. The water drains nicely and even has a nice sound when it drips into the pan below. It really adds to my tea session experience. The tea utensils I ordered come in a lovely holder and are fantastic quality. Being able to move my guests teacups around with utensils rather than my fingers was the main reason I wanted to purchase a set of utensils. If I include the teapet I purchased as well, my Umi teaware has really upped my tea hosting game! The more teaware I have the more I think I can convince my friends and family how great tea is to get them to purchase things too!

I ordered an Yixing tea set 3 months back. The tea set had everything a teapot, 8 tea cups, 2 aroma cups, a fair cup , a strainer and a gaiwan . The price was very reasonable and there was no compromise in the quality. Unfortunately, the gaiwan and fair cup broke in transit but umiteasets gave me a new gaiwan and fair cup free of cost. Also they sent me a gongfu tea cup which is very beautiful. Amazing service and amazing teaware straight from China. I've ordered a set of rainforest tea cups as well and it is in transit. If you are a tea lover then do buy from umiteasets. They have wonderful collection and very nice customer service.

Definitely avoid. We ordered, spent £90, and never received our tea set and the company didn’t reply!! It was so frustrating we gave up in the end!!

Great company. Delivery came quickly. An Item I had ordered went out of stock and they immediately replaced it, now questions asked. LOVE all the things I got. Ordered a Gongfu tray which I was having trouble finding anywhere else and the quality was excelent.

Avoid this company at all cost: They are located in China, and if they send you a deficient, damaged product, you will have to foot the cost of returning it, which is more than what you paid for the damaged item to begin with. They will censor any negative reviews, just not post them, and they will not chat with you, and will gaslight and ghost you like the passive aggressive bullies they are.

This site is full of thieves. They did not send my package and they did not answered to my e-mails. They have answered at the beginning, but after i told them my problem (package has not arrived) they answer that will fix it and they are sorry for it. That was the last time when i receive any answer from them. After this i wrote them lots of e-mails and nobody answered anymore. I tried to solve with PayPal, but i did not find any resolution with them too (180 days policy). This site will basically steal your money. Beware of Thieves !!! should be written on this site and google should block them access. This site should be closed. At least i can do is to warn others. Please be aware that good reviews are fake, because they are promising some special teapots for a 5 star review...like i am stupid and i cannot think that if they did not sent me my order that i have payed for, they will send me a free gift ...

While looking for my first Yixing teapot I came across UmiTeaSets, I also found a Japanese teapot, a tea utensil set, and a tea caddy at UmiTeaSets. I received all items together with no issues. I was pleasantly surprised that everything came individually boxed with plenty of packing material, I even mentioned to my wife they use more packing material than was needed. The quality of each item has exceeded my expectations. The Yixing pot is not the purple clay type but is nice. I can easily pour tea while holding the top with my thumb. The pour is nice and smooth, I do need to turn the teapot straight up to empty the teapot. I followed a video on youtube on how to season the teapot and it went well. I seasoned it with oolong tea and everything seems to be going along as expected. The next teapot I purchased was the Japanese teapot, which I use for my herbal teas. The mix of the sand-clay and wooden handle feels very comfortable and appears that it should last a long time. The handle placement and angle make it super easy to pour, I don’t need to turn the teapot up as much as my Yixing teapot to empty the pot. The sand-clay does a good job of holding heat while the tea is steeping. The utensil set is a nice-to-have item but brings the whole tea drinking experience together. It makes a nice accent piece for the tea-making area and I have received a couple of compliments about it. The tea caddy is pretty close to air-tight if not 100% air-tight. I use this to hold some Japanese matcha tea bags that I was gifted.

I had been looking for a tea tray as a gift for a family member who loves tea. However it is surprisingly difficult to find a high quality, well designed tray from a reputable company through online searches, and I am so glad I ended up ordering the Lotus Pattern Wooden Gonfu Tea Tray from Umi Tea Sets. The tray is beautiful and well sized, and it looks like it was built to last for a while; I would say the pictures are accurate and representative of the product on the website. Because it is being delivered from China, I'd recommend ordering it several weeks ahead of time if you are international and need it by a certain date; the shipping time seemed to be variable (although partially related to COVID). Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and will likely end up buying more products from Umi Tea given their wide range of tea-associated accessories -- I'd never seen a stone tea tray with mist before finding this website. I do also appreciate the range of price points and designs for each type of item; it seems like a one stop shop for all of your tea needs. Also, the frequency of sales/discounts/free gift items doesn't hurt!

This is the first time I bought from Umi Tea Sets and I am above satisfied! The customer service is incredible, in case you have doubts, they answer all your questions. The package came as advised, perfectly packed, you really do not need to worry it could be damaged during the transfer. The tea pot I ordered looks and works just perfect and I use it every day since it arrived and it has been already more than 5 months! It came with instructions how to start using the teapot and the equipment you need. If you havent drinked Oolong tea from a specialized tea pot from Umi Tea Sets you cannot know hor the perfect Oolong should taste. I also ordered the Oolong tea leaves and the taste is just perfect. I am absolutely sure this is not the last time I ordered tea equipment and tea leaves from them.
