Such a lovely gift from a company that I will definitely order from again. Their range of products is really great, and they explain the uses and origins of their different wares. It just makes drinking tea a lovely and elegant experience.

I bought two tea pots. One is cast iron and the other is clay. The first thing to know as a buyer is that what they say about their products is true. Their detailed descriptions are accurate to the letter. The iron on is a perfect size for my needs. It does rust a little on the inside but they mention that is intentional and in China is a source of iron. The shape and coloration is accurate. The clay pot is stunning. Natural colors of the clay and workmanship are excellent.

Ongoing non-delivery issues. Was Quoted delivery time of 10-days. 21 days later tracking details provided (English version) show item still in China. Will update when and if/if not item ever arrives.

The delivery was quick, and the quality is superb. They were the Centrepiece of our Chinese tea ceremony at our wedding. The textured outside brings a feel of class and elegance to the cups, and the designs were perfect with no blemishes anywhere! I really enjoyed using them, and it also go the seal of approval from my Chinese parents in law.

After creating a website about Yixing teapots for my art history class, I wanted to buy one of my own. As soon as I saw the teapot of my dreams listed with Umi Tea Sets, I knew I had to get it for my birthday. Because of its small size (it fits in the cup of my hands), I don't brew tea in it. Still, I look forward to buying more from this seller and others who deal with Yixing teapots because I was not disappointed with my purchase.

My order was late, so i contacted them as I had paid for express-shipping but due to circumstances, they could not deliver the product within the promised timeframe. When I contacted them about it, they nicely paid back the fee that I paid for the express shipping. Overall nice shopping experience, great product and amazing customer service. I bought few items Umi Tea Sets were offering few months ago and got it really on time that was announced. In my order were Purple Clay Round Tea Cup With Infuser, Chinese Calligraphy Purple Clay Tea Cup, Yixing Purple Clay Dragon Tea Cup With Infuser and my new tea pets - a Set Of Two Color Changeable Swan Tea Pet. Since that moment they became the irreplaceable everyday items in my tea moments. I’m using it for brewing Pu-erh teas of different kinds. Beautifully shaped teacups are the indispensable items for a tea collection specialy in brewing teas like Oolong or Pu-erh. The qualities and the taste of tea is improving daily and in my belief this is directly linked to the purple clay (ZiSha), found only in the Yixing, Jiangsu province of China, from which those teacups are crafted. It os obvious that the highly skilled craftspeople create it. It fits in a hand perfectly allowing a person who is brewing the tea a great pleasure in enjoying the looks of a teacup as well as the exquisite tast of the tea brewed in the Yixing Purple Clay. The teacups are excellently crafted and furthermore one can’t be burned while using them - the handle is so well placed and the lid fits perfectly. And we have to know the Yixing tea pot or tea cup is considered as the best possible way to steep tea specially Pu-erh teas or Oolong teas. As the time goes by, by using my Yixing Purple Clay tea cups my tea brewed in them creates a very special aroma and the same tea as before it now tastes much much better. It os because Yixing Purple Clay has a unique adsorption-It is continuing to absorb tea aroma when tea cup is used, and after a long time, it creates the unique aroma. Therefore, the tea cup only can make the same type of tea to avoid flavor mixing, which affects its taste. Second: The more nourished, the more spiritual: For many appliances, the more you use, the older they are, but the more you use, the Yixing Purple Clay Tea cups the better it is. The tea cups’ body becomes more and more shiny, smooth, beautiful and mild after frequent cleaning it by warm water. I’m using them for Pu-erh and Oolong as I say before so for hot and warm but as far as I know they also can be used with cold water. Therefore Yixing Purple Clay tea cups are proved to resists hot and cold temperature: its sandy and it transfers heat slow, so it has a good stability of hot and cold, and as far as I know even if burned directly on the stove, it will not be split. I've bought a few things from this site and they have been great quality. The blooming tea you can get from here is something I've not seen before anywhere else and it's made a great gift. I also got a beautiful celadon glazed tea holder that did not disappoint. It's probably my favorite tool in my tea set, it's so pretty. I like Umiteasets for the unique collections of tea tools you can get and with easy shipping. I still have yet to try their tea aside from the blooming tea, but I wouldn't expect anything but good quality from them. It still takes a while to arrive, at least over to the United States, but it's arrived with good timing, without problems. I like that they also have deals occasionally and great customer service.
