Umi Tea Sets shipped us a cast iron induction tea pot warmer that is wired with 220volts/2000watts and a plug configuration used in China to the USA 110v). When contacted they asked us to buy a bulky voltage converter ($129). We said no. They offered us $10 to ship it back to China. We found shipping from $348 down to $49 with USPS and forwarded the rate to them. They then offered us $20 shipping. We said no we need all the shipping, then they said okay, we will refund the product and shipping after we get it back, if it's not broken. UPDATE 1/16/23 We sent message to Umi Tea Sets we need postage prepaid and sent through PayPal (our original payment platform) and their response was to send a refund of purchase price. No follow through for posting it to China, which made no sense as it surely exceeds their manufacturing cost.
Worst company ever. Do not even consider a purchase from these scammers
Excellent communication when there was a delay in delivery (caused by me moving house), and it was very well packaged.
I was worried that this website was not legitimate, but I decided to buy one of their pricier tea sets anyway. The set I bought was exactly like the pictures they advertised with beautiful quality. One of my tea plates broke, but one of the staff was kind enough to send a replacement for free. Be aware, if you are buying their products, they package them with a lot of styrofoam and tape, so they became a mess by the time you get to your product. It took about 2 - 3 weeks for me to receive my package, not expedited. If I were to buy another tea set, I'd buy from them again.

I purchased the Dragon tea pot and warmer. The workmanship is beautiful. A problem is that the warmer does not function with the electrical current used in American homes.

Very easy to order my Umi Tea Set. Terrific follow-up from the seller. The order arrived well packaged with clear directions if I happened to encounter a problem with the shipment, which I did not! Th order arrived when promised and I would definitely order from Um again.
