Umi Tea Sets

I bought a Chinese tea table and two tea shelves from Umi Tea Sets when I built my tea room. Their products and customer services are top notch. The products are made of top quality solid wood with impeccable craftsmanship. Their packaging is also very thoughtful for those delicate furniture to sustain the long journey and shipment. All furniture arrived in great condition. I want to put in my high remarks on their customer service. I did not unpack the tea table for two years while the construction was going on. When I did I found out that the heating block for the tea pot was broken. Their customer service offered many suggestions. Eventually they replaced the entire heating block free of charge even though two years have passed since the purchase. Best go-to places for tea related furniture, art crafts. You guys deserve 5 out of 5 star rating.

Glas was kapot, heel slechte verpakking. Materialen waren van slechte kwaliteit. Barsten, scheuren, materialen zaten te los vast aan elkaar of gingen niet eens open. Heel teleurgesteld. Zal nooit meer daar bestellen en ik raad iedereen af dat te doen. Het bedrijf lijkt zich ook niets aan te trekken aan deze feedback want ik zie steeds meer van dit soort reviews. Glass was broken, very bad packaging. Materials were of poor quality. Cracks, tears, materials were too loosely attached to each other or did not even open. Very disappointed. Will never order from there again and I discourage anyone from doing so. The company doesn't seem to care about this feedback either because I keep seeing the same complaints over and over again.

I ordered 1 teapot made of greyish purple clay, the one that says 'fragrance' on it, and a full tea set made of dark purple clay with 8 cups, lotus and koi fish design, with gaiwan, strainer. The set is nicely made and sturdy, though it looks like the designs are cast from moulds and not hand-carved. Still, very satisfied with the quality of both.

Very happy with the tea pets I got. Fast shipping and great quality of items. The pee pee boy does take several tries to get it to work due to the basic chemistry reaction of the clay expands and contracts for it to work. It would also need to be soaked for a while for the clay to absorb the water. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

Do not buy anything glass from this company. It is not insulated and leads you to wait until the cups cool, so you’re left with cold tea. They also make it intentionally impossible to return their products. The return address is in China and you are responsible for shipping, which ends up being at least half the cost of the order. This is by design. They are counting on you to give up. Terrible quality, predatory business practices, awful experience overall.
