my teapot arrived pretty quickly, and was clearly thoughtfully packaged to keep it safe. the customer service team was also very helpful and quick to fix my issue (missing saucer). overall i’ve been very happy with my experience.

DO NOT USE. SCAM. I logged on to PayPal and I had a fraud alert from my bank before I even put shipping info in or clicked pay. I shut down my debit card. They have tried withdrawing from my bank multiple times since shutting it down, and sent request on PayPal as well. I was under the impression PayPal was safe, but at the recommendation of my bank I now have to wait 10 days for a new card and have no way to use an ATM or otherwise use my bank until then. Don't make the mistake I did and believe the good reviews on here.

I ordered a teaset as a Christmas gift. It arrived relatively quickly and was exactly what the recipient wanted. Unfortunately, three of the teacups had been damaged in transit. I contacted the company and we now have replacement cups, no fuss, no bother they just replaced the cups as quickly as possible. The service from this company is excellent, their products are exactly as described and shipping is quick. I highly recommend them and would definitely buy from them again.

I ordered a beautiful Testubin and a cup from Umi, and awaited delivery. It took a while, but I was happy to wait. When it arrived, the cup I had ordered was missing. I contacted Umi and advised that I was very happy with the product, but the item wasn't there. They were incredibly apologetic and advised they would resend the cup and a gift. They apologised if the delivery of this might be delayed due to New year, and I said that's perfectly fine. However, the item arrived in the UK, from China within 48-72 hours. I am utterly flabbergasted and the sheer speed of delivery. Now I have all my items, I can say that they are of exceptional quality and definitely worth the price paid. The customer service has also been second to none. If you're undecided regarding Umi Tea Sets, let this be the review the persuades you to take the plunge. As I will be definitely be back again.

The proprietor was very helpful at time of initial purchase via online chat. She was able to answer all my questions and gave me an extra discount. The tea pot I purchased became unavailable and I had to make another selection, but being under a time crunch s as I needed it for a first working a certain time frame, she sent the new selection expedited shipping at her expense. Packaging from China was great and done with extra care, but despite this, two petal cups were broken. Um sent me two replacement cups free of shipping charges. They arrived in perfect condition within two weeks. Proprietor has been very responsive to emails and very polite. Will definitely purchase from them again.

Excellent teapot for a good price. Shipping was fast and it arrived in good condition. I have used it every day since I got it and I love it.I will definitely be getting another one soon as well as some cups. The website is easy to navigate and very intuitive. Things are categorized well. It also have very good filtering options so that you can find exactly what you are looking for at the price you want. They have a very wide selection of teapots, from glass, cast iron, and ceramic with a lot of designs so there is something for everyone. They also have any accessory you could need for brewing tea. They have beautiful matched tea sets as well with tea pot and cups to match which make great center pieces. Now for the tea. They have a huge and amazing selection of tea to choose from. It took forever to look through everything thing they had. I got a jasmine tea and it was incredible. I haven't tried their other teas because I prefer green but I can assume that they will be of the same high quality and freshness as the Jasmine tea was. I will definitely be going back to get more and try more of their selection as well.

An interesting design.

I am glad that I found the Umi Tea Sets Website. I bought the Fashion Electric Teapot Warmer, it came with a nice tea mat as well. I love how small and portable it is. They also carry a variety of glass teapots on their website. We like to sit outside at the picnic table and enjoy sharing a pot of Jasmine Tea, with this we don’t have to go back and forth to the house to get refills. It heats the tea then keeps it warm. We also like to go Camping and this plugs into the outlet on the outside of the Trailer without taking up much room on the table between our chairs, its only just over four inches wide. My teapot sits on it perfectly, it is glass so I can tell when my tea is done steeping and remove the strainer to prevent it from getting bitter. It can be used for Coffee, Hot Chocolate, warm Broth, heating a Baby Bottle and etc. I also like how there’s a variety of colors to choose from. I ordered the Silver, but they also have Red, Blue, Black and Golden. It arrived a lot sooner than I expected. They were good about sending emails to let me know when to expect my order.

We bought a glass tea mug with wooden lid and 4 glutinous rice ceramic Japanese plaid tea cups. The quaility is great. I really enjoy having a cup of tea with the Japanese tea cup, because without the handles, the tea won't burn my tongue. And the colour of the cups were very beautiful. For the glass tea mug, it works great with green tea. Usually i brew my black tea in the ceramic tea pot, which is the appropriate teaware for black tea. But I did try brew black tea in the glass tea mug, and some small tea residue was poured out with the tea. Hope the experience helps

I ordered a handmade Japanese Kyusu from Umi Tea Sets a few months ago as a present for my girlfriend (she's absolutely obsessed with tea and Japan!). If I remember correctly, it shipped from London to the USA and took over two weeks to ship. Overall, the quality of the product was incredibly beautiful, but it was smaller than I had expected. The kyusu makes about 1-1.5 cups of tea per steep, or 2 small cups at a time. The flavor we got after the first steep was very clean, pure, but missing a little something. The more we used the kyusu, the better the flavor became, which ultimately left us satisfied and ultra zen-ed out. We get a lot of tea directly from Japan and it tasted better coming out of this kyusu than any other western-style teapot we've used before. If I could make one critique, I would say that I wish the shipping didn't take as long as it did. At the time, I was hoping to receive the kyusu in time for her birthday, but it ended up taking a bit longer than expected. She was traveling at the time and wasn't able to taste the tea until about a month after we had finally received it. That's okay though -- it gave me plenty of time to develop the flavors in the kyusu! TL;DR: Umi Tea Sets goes above and beyond on quality. The products certainly are pricey, but well worth it for any tea fanatic! Shipping took a bit longer than we had hoped, but it took about 2.5 weeks in total -- worth waiting for!

Look I'm new in this world of loose 🍵 but I'm finding out there is some peace when I'm stepping some oolong tea or white tea. Been looking around many different places that sell tea sets and just tea cups. I'm truly grateful to have found Umi tea. They have wonderful stuff and just wish I could buy 1of everything 😅😅. The gaiwans I received are beautiful and just what I wanted. The package was amazing and I will definitely order more stuff from them again. Thank you Umi Tea!

The teapot & cup set I ordered from Umi is just beautiful. Excellent quality and workmanship. They came beautifully packaged and securely wrapped, and included a maker's certificate and they gifted me an awesome tea pet! The teapot was smaller than I thought it would be, but that was my fault for not converting the mL to fl oz. It's really beautiful and I love it! Shipping took a little while, but I expected this and was not concerned, since it was coming from China. This is a great company, and I would recommend them to anyone who has a passion for tea and beautiful craftsmanship! Just be aware that the shipping takes a while, but be patient because it is well worth the wait, and mind your mL when ordering. As long as you heed these two very important things, you are sure to be very happy with the product you receive.

The tea cups I bought are even better than I imagined! The communication was great and they arrived safely and quick! I bought a set for my son and he uses them all the time. I also got some for myself and I love having guests over for tea. I always get comments about the beautiful cups. Thanks!

am very unsatisfied with the overall experience. First problem was, that the parcel was declared with the wrong value of 40 USD, which made customs stop the delivery and I had to pay about 80 EUR for customs. When it finally arrived I was disappointed by the bad quality. The Gaiwan looks like clay was hanging down before it was burned and one cup had a broken off edge. The tray is not massive but just a thin layer of whatever over cheap particle board. It was ditched and scratched on its arrival so it is basically unusable because water leaks in and the particle board puffs up. The metal thing in the middle also is very flimsy stuff barely holding its own weight. The promised free tea gift of 30g Oolong was not included. I would not recommend buying it.

They delivered my tea pot to the wrong STATE, and customer service would only tell me to call the post office myself to see if they could get me my package. Bear in mind the package had been mislabeled and was already delivered to someone else's address. After asking for a refund, they simply stopped responding to my messages. This all happened after my delivery was a week late and their tracker broke. Do not buy from this company, they are scammers.

I ordered a hot plate to use in the US with a kettle I'd purchased elsewhere and found that it took almost 30 minutes for the water to boil. Apparently the hot plate required a 220V outlet, even though the plug was compatible and there were no obvious electrical issues. I had ordered from a page specifically geared toward US customers but there was no mention in the description of the power requirement. The seller offered a full refund if I shipped it back but (as others have found) it would have cost $60+ to return a $74 product. The seller offered to refund $15 if I wanted to just keep it. I wrote a review on the company site warning other US customers but it has not been posted. Update: The seller offered me a $20 refund if I would delete my review. I tried to explain that this isn't how it works in the US; that the solution is to fix the problem (i.e., add the information to their site) rather than pretend it doesn't exist. Who knows how many other bad reviews have been deleted here and elsewhere, and how skewed the company reviews are as a result - ?
