Results cannot be trusted as it didn't pick up our KNOWN sensitivities , e.g. cats, dairy, wheat - it said we were all negative for those! And the things that come up are very questionable. My intention was to find out in particular what is causing my husbands' chronic but intermittent sneezing/running eyes and nose/ sniffing. And my children keep having tummy aches, and I have my own issues so I thought we could test the whole family. So I took the plunge spending all that money!
The information I will paste below, in the section titled 'Sensitivity is not an allergy' I feel should have been made clear BEFORE I paid for the tests, where they are advertised, and not AFTER, when receive the results!
The physiological process, which takes place in the body during an allergic reaction, is also entirely different to that of sensitivity. An allergic reaction involves the immune system and cells called antibodies, whereas this is not involved in sensitivity. Hair testing does not test antibody levels therefore this is why it cannot be used to test for allergy.
This was not at all made clear before ordering. And even so - you would expect there to be some level of trust and accuracy.
