My wife and I booked a "Wine and Food Tasting Experience" in the Chester Veeno with 2 friends as part of their 50th Wedding Celebration. We were VERY disappointed because: 1. The table was far too small for four people, and soon became cluttered, as all the wines and food were delivered together. (I appreciate that it is a small venue). 2. It was not a wine tasting "experience" at all, as all 16 wine glasses were put on the table at once, with no labelling or reference to the related items on the food platter, except for a paper leaflet giving a very brief relationship of each wine to the food items. 3. The food items on the platter and bread basket were very few. 4. When the bill arrived there was a surcharge (not advertised) as our 2 friends had asked for vegetarian food; and a service charge (again not advertised) of "10%", which in fact proved to be 12.5%). 5. The service was very slow and during our time at table the staff appeared very disinterested.

Wasted experience We had chosen the wine experience and this was ours. Paper placemat with printed information about the wine and what goes well with it alongside a glass of that wine, a board with some hams and cheese to match the wine. The small amount of ‘food’ had definitely been prepared far in advance as the ham had dried on the edges and the cheese had sweated out, the salad leaves were wilting past the point of actually wanting to eat them. Honestly we have had better hams and cheese from Aldi the saving grace was the bread and sparkling water. Not much of an experience and a waste of a voucher, no actual interaction with the team about the wine’s their history etc. should have just read the label we would have got more information from it.

Another fabulous evening with great food, wine and ambience at the leicester Veeno! A special mention for Mukesh who is an amazing host, helpful, courteous and always goes the extra mile!

It does not even deserve a single star. Waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our afternoon tea, there was hardly anyone to serve us and the food was awful. Extremely disappointed and won’t be going back again.

My order arrived with 2 bottles of red wine leaking,as this was for a 65th birthday present it was very disappointing to have to clean everything up

Visited today with my daughter, had Italian afternoon tea with Prosecco, absolutely lovely food, place had a very nice ambience & the lady that served us was friendly, attentive & very helpful, all in all a great experience, thank you Veeno’s sure we’ll be back soon

We had a two hour wine tasting experience at Veeno in Chester and from start to finish had the best time, Beth our server was so knowledge about the wines we were tasting and which wines went with the sharing platter of meats and cheeses that was part of the experience. Beth had a lot of time for us we didn't feel rushed and at the end we were not pressured into buying any wine but we did anyway because it was so nice. Beth is a credit to the company.

Fantastic wine and an awesome service

Amazing food, excellent beverages, and the ambience is splendid. I have to say MICHELLE was so attentive and nothing stopped her from helping and was always smiling. Reading aveeno if you have never been I highly recommend it!!

Baron was great and very knowledgeable. Couldn’t be more accommodating. We go to veeno in Edinburgh often and all the staff are always great.

The service was very poor – The Waitress was very vague, and when she offered us Parmesan which arrived halfway through our meal and not grated she had no explanation or apology. The bruschetta arrived after the main meal – and in general, the food was very average. I think the staff were enjoying themselves while we were not ! We won’t be back.

Website incorrect - false advertising not a good thing - you should amend immediately you still don't understand - apologies are not enough - you know the product is not available and I note you are still advertising 10 days later - false advertising is a serious offence - pls stop misleading customers - you have been informed and do nothing - a bad reflection on your company ethics
