First time I've had to use the AA,the experience was top notch. They attended my breakdown within an hour,the engineer that attended was all you could have hoped for. Friendly,polite and had a can do attitude from the moment he arrived. Found the problem very quickly,was unable to replace the part at the roadside but fabricated a repair which got me to a garage for a new part.He followed me to the garage to ensure I got there OK. The service provided fully met my hopes and expections which these days can be a rare commodity!!.

AA representative came to our home address as the car would not start - flat battery. He was unfortunately unable to start the car and advised a new battery would be required. As my husband was in hospital at the time, we elected to deal with this at a later date. Helpful representative very pleasant.

I reported my car breaking down on a motorway on one of the hottest afternoons of the year. Lone female and dog. Within an hour we were towed off the motorway by a local recovery van sent by the AA who said the AA would be with me within the hour to see if my car could be fixed or to recover it. We were then left for FIVE HOURS. Can’t take dogs into service stations and far too hot to stay in the car. When I called for updates I was told I was no longer a priority because I was in a safe location and they were busy. I received 30 - yes 30 - text messages pushing the time further and further back. Extremely frustrating and made worse by unhelpful and misleading staff in the call centre saying someone would be there shortly when they weren’t. When the AA van did finally arrive, he was more interested in trying to sign up a driver who had broken down and was parked up next to me asking if he could join. Appalling experience

Today I had the misfortune to break down in a supermarket car park and had to use the AA app to report this. The app was a breeze to use and an arrival time was of forty five minutes given. I was kept up to date via text and could also use the tracking option. The technician arrived earlier than expected and proceeded to diagnose the problem and I decided to have the vehicle recovered to my home address as no on site repair could be carried out. The whole experience was stress free from my point of view and I can recommend the AA for doing a first class job in getting me home. Finally I would just like to say thank you to Nathan the AA technician who was professional, friendly and polite. An absolute credit to the company.

Firstly a little moan: the response from my initial call was good with just a short predicted wait. Unfortunately I received a further three texts pushing the ETA out causing me to re update plans. Now the good bit, Oli was great. His manner was reassuring and his diagnostic skills were professional. Once the fault was seemingly diagnosed Oli offered to follow me home just in case the fault re appeared. Fortunately it didn’t and the whole episode ended without further drama. Thanks Oli, good to know you guys are out there when needed

Having failed to successfully re charge my battery after it seemed to have gone flat I was not sure if the problem was more complicated, especially as I had blown the fuse on my battery charger. Called the AA and he arrived spot on time soon after my call.. He very quickly identified the problem and started recharging the battery and even replaced the blown fuse on my own charger. A few minutes later and the car sprang back into life. Panic over and as usual an outstanding and charming service from the AA many thanks

Woody the AA man who responded to the call out, was absolutely brilliant, checked the wheel bearing and hub then followed me, we then pulled in to a lay-by where he re-torqued the wheel nuts. Excellent from start to finish
