Review summary
Postoffice has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Parcel returned from Royal mail. Post office staff did not know why although they had completed the CN22 and I signed it. The parcel came back after 7 weeks with a CN15(b) form on the returned parcel. After 15 minutes, they sent me off with a contact number that could not help. Poor service. Visit an alternative post office if you want your post to be delivered.
My local Postman is great BUT when it comes to parcels they do not come any where near the time that they are due such as 9:30 11:45. It it ALWAYS well into the afternoon.
This makes it impossible to plan. I have commitments which I am willing to work around but NOT the WHOLE DAY.
If you say you will deliver between these time THEN YOU SHOULD.
On top of that it's the same guy - who's not too friendly - it's like you have disturbed him by having a parcel delivered.
Possibly the worst delivery company in the UK.
The regular guys are great who deliver your letters, however, when you have a parcel being delivered not letters, it never arrives on time, the time slots are too long as well, and when they stick a note via your door they don't tell you what neighbour they left it with and the item reference on the last two were incorrect. I have heard they use agencies workers to deliver parcels. They clearly need more training. Lastly trying to get hold of anyone to speak to is like trying to speak to Pope.
A calendar sent to France, returned with a notice saying this should have a Customs document completed to allow export. The same calendar posted from the same Post Office at the same time arrived at another French address without a problem. It's a calendar, no "commercial value" and is typical of the whole organisation - no wonder the Horizon scandal has such a high profile. The faster the Post Office is dismantled the better
Just been to my local post office branch I. Kirkcaldy High Street and experienced the most awful service. Myself and my disabled husband went with all the correct documents to apply for free road tax as my husband is on full adult disability. These clowns REFUSED and said we need a letter of exemption from Social Security. I had our letter showing this along with the v5c and MOT all as stated online. They were rude, told me they couldn't do it and to go to another branch! I phoned Social Security when I got home and they confirmed that we were correct. I called these clowns and told them that they were wrong as I had called Social Security..guess what...THEY HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME!! Raging is an understatement.. I will now need to go 10 mile to my next main Post Office to get this.
Not accounting for the recent Horizon scandal that the repugnant managers tried to cover up with some considerable aid from the media and politicians until the brave campaigns finally got their case into the mainstream media against all odds . The post office can not even deliver letters properly and has been spamming letter boxes with junk mail for decades . How and why this murky unprofitable and incompetent institution has been kept on as a state company in all but name is a disgrace . Parliament will not make them less powerful and more accountable.
When the best thing would be for the post office to be closed down and all postal services offered up for sale to private bidders .
With Paula being sacked and only able to draw on a state pension .
Too many corrupt institutions in this country like the Samaritans and countless others must be pulverised without parliament’s interference.
The UK Post Office is evil! There is no other word I can suitably use to describe this criminal organisation.
Formerly headed by the universally detested Paula Vennells, who has ust been forced to hand back her ill-gotten CBE after ONE MILLION TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND people petitioned to have it removed (we know she wouldn't have done so otherwise).
This is what actually needs to happen:-
1. Every single person wronged by the Post Office through their criminal actions needs to be paid ONE MILLION POUNDS in compensation AND damages.
2. The spouse of any wronged sub-postmaster/mistress who committed suicide after the appalling way they were treated by the Post Office, should be paid TEN MILLION POUNDS.
3. Paula Vennells and her cronies - every one of them, need to be tried and convicted for their parts in this crime and fined £10million each. If they do not have the money, everything they own, including their gold-plated pensions, must be removed and sold. They must then be sent to prision for at least five years (we really know that means two thanks to our lousy judicial system), so that they can reflect on their abominable actions.
3. Every Member of the UK Parliament who ignored the plight of the people wronged or who had their snouts in the trough ... ED DAVEY, I'm looking at you ... must resign and never be allowed to hold any government or public office again.
4. Paula Vennells, ex-CEO of The Post Office must be sacked from her new role in the NHS and never be allowed to head any public organisation as long as she lives.
5. Fujitsu must be fined at least ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLION POUNDS for their part in this scandal and any money recovered, used to create a new legal fighting fund specifically to cover people fighting for miscarriages of justice.
6. Fujitsu have made £BILLIONS out of the British people and must NEVER be handed another public contract for anything whatsoever.
7. Existing contracts for legacy systems with Fujitsu must be wound down, so that the British taxpayer does not continue to pay this appalling and corrupt organisation.
That is just a start .....
I, my family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances will NEVER, EVER use the Post Office again. Let others do the same and let the Post Office go bust. There are plenty of companies, more efficient and more honest, waiting in the wings to take over.
The Post Office are Evil!
I knew all about how corrupt these guys are anyway. I’m glad that the recent TV Drama has opened the eyes of millions!!!! I hope they get what they deserve. Royal Mail are every bit as bad. I’ve been on the wrong side of their corruption and antics as well, and I’ve paid a hefty price for it.
Unforgivable.
As a customer, I never thought I could despise 'the nation's favourite' organisation so much, the widespread damage the post office has committed against their sub-postmasters wrongfully convicted, accused, and falsely blamed is sickening. The fact the post office has alarmingly dragged its heels for a decade is a testament to how illogical, tactical and evil they are at the core. I will never step foot in a post office again.
too little, too late, it's a drop in the ocean. I hope Post office management is made culpable and accountable for the decisions, and cover-ups that put innocent good citizens in a literal hell.
I will never set foot in a Post Office branch again
I will never set foot in a Post Office branch again, nor will I use their service in any way shape or form. I am sorry if this filters down to, and affects, innocent employees, but I refuse to give a penny of my hard earned money to a company who has genuine blood on their hands.
Paula et al ought to be sleeping with one eye open, I know I wouldn't be able to sleep at all.
