Review summary
Postoffice has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Parcel returned from Royal mail. Post office staff did not know why although they had completed the CN22 and I signed it. The parcel came back after 7 weeks with a CN15(b) form on the returned parcel. After 15 minutes, they sent me off with a contact number that could not help. Poor service. Visit an alternative post office if you want your post to be delivered.
My local Postman is great BUT when it comes to parcels they do not come any where near the time that they are due such as 9:30 11:45. It it ALWAYS well into the afternoon.
This makes it impossible to plan. I have commitments which I am willing to work around but NOT the WHOLE DAY.
If you say you will deliver between these time THEN YOU SHOULD.
On top of that it's the same guy - who's not too friendly - it's like you have disturbed him by having a parcel delivered.
Possibly the worst delivery company in the UK.
The regular guys are great who deliver your letters, however, when you have a parcel being delivered not letters, it never arrives on time, the time slots are too long as well, and when they stick a note via your door they don't tell you what neighbour they left it with and the item reference on the last two were incorrect. I have heard they use agencies workers to deliver parcels. They clearly need more training. Lastly trying to get hold of anyone to speak to is like trying to speak to Pope.
Why aren't l able login to postoffice app tryed since this morning,
Need some answers now changed my password see if that helps & doesn't
Can talks to us what going off with postoffice app cant trace my tracking??
Why ever bother? They send you an email saying your parcel will be delivered between stated times and needs signing for. Needless to say, it doen't arrive. No updates, nothing. You can't go out and tell them to leave it somewhere as our long-suffering Postie told me that their tablets don't update after they've left the depot - which is the time they send you the email. Totally and utterly useless "service" that just needs to be in the dustbin of history.
Firstly, this review is about the service level, not the posties, sorting office staff, etc.
An important letter from the bank was sent 1st class and took 6 days to deliver
A birthday card purchased on line took 7 days to come. This resulted in a replacement shop purchase due to being too late for said birthday. I guess the refund given by the online supplier hit them hard.
A traffic offence was sent and not redirected as paid for. The reminder was actually redirected....
This is a very poor service which, in any private company, would be investigated and root cause rectified.
Spoke with Angela today about multicar insurance options. The line was quite bad but Angela was very patient and very friendly. She had a professional approach and made all the information very clear. Thank you. Keep up the good work
Keighley, West Yorkshire sorting office. Sadly giving minus 1 star is not an option - postman attempted delivery but left no card so I could not even collect from the sorting office. Sorting office is only open for 2 hours a day 8am to 10am. No option to speak to anyone, the online chat is AI rubbish and goes in circles, their 03457 number is all automated with each option ending in the call being ended without been able to speak to a human. I don't think there is a worse service out there, no wonder its on its knees and on life support. Best thing is to sell to a company that knows how to provide a service fit for purpose.
They have my Mum's money in a savings account and won't transfer it now she needs it. They keep saying they will and have offered compensations due to their fault, but still no sign of the money. Been going on for three months.
Once again I have more problems with Royal Mail ... useless ... I sent a large letter to my solicitor who lives some miles away. It was first class recorded delivery. Sent at 10.28 on a Friday morning ... following Thursday still had not arrived. Excuse given ... "it may be delayed". Let's face it ... it's lost. Cost: £5.05 and they don't even track it. I could have put the documents in a box and sent it by Evri tracked and it would have got there on the Monday for half the price. I have after so many problems with Royal Mail finally learnt my lesson. The next big joke will be to try for compensation ... I may get a stamp out of it if I'm lucky.
Warning: Moorgate Post Office - My Parcel Lost, My Complaint Ignored…
I am writing this review to issue a severe warning about the appalling service at the Moorgate Post Office branch and its subsequent catastrophic customer service response.
On March 27th, 2025, during my visit to the Moorgate branch (45 London Wall, EC2M 5TE), despite providing clear instructions for a parcel drop-off using a valid QR code for a Tracked Drop Off service, the counter employee (a woman in her 40s/50s) incorrectly applied a return label to my package (Original tracking: TQ 7541 3656 1GB). This was done without my knowledge or confirmation, and despite my repeated explanations of the service I required. Her demeanor was unhelpful and dismissive throughout.
As a direct result of this Post Office employee's error, my parcel was misdelivered and is now lost.
The nightmare continued with Post Office Customer Service (Complaint Ref: CAS-4016972-R1T6G0). Despite providing all necessary evidence and numerous detailed emails, they have been utterly evasive, contradictory, and unhelpful. My complaint was initially 'resolved' due to alleged 'missing information' (which I had provided), then put into an 'appeal' process. Shockingly, this appeal was then denied with absurd and illogical excuses that attempted to shift blame onto me, claiming the QR code I presented must have been incorrect, despite having proof of my intended transaction and payment.
Furthermore, I contacted the Postal Redress Service (POSTRS) for external resolution, only to be informed that they do not handle complaints against Post Office Ltd. directly for operational errors like this. This highlights a critical gap in accountability for Post Office's own services.
The Post Office has shown a complete lack of responsibility, competence, and basic customer care. They actively hinder resolution and provide zero support when their own staff make costly errors.
I strongly advise everyone to avoid the Moorgate Post Office branch and frankly, be extremely wary of using Post Office Ltd. services if you value your parcels or expect any form of accountability. This has been an incredibly frustrating, time-consuming, and costly experience, and I would hate for anyone else to go through the same ordeal
I posted important documents via their tracked service, for next day delivery to passport office.and they haven't been delivered. There is no consequences to their dreadful service.we have been to local post office in michaleston Road Cardiff, who gave us the number of supposedly customer care, transpired it was the number for post office savings.horrendous.We paid over 5.00 for a tracking service, guess what not tracked
I called Eastwood branch post office for the foreign currency exchange rate and it seemed at the time the rate is good. So I decided to go on the same day just am1 1/2 hours after I called the branch to exchange my US$ back to £. Big mistakes , huge as I trusted the woman who served me and didn’t even bother to watch what she counted. However I knew she counted 3 times twice with the machine. But really what I was quoted and what I was given is £100 difference. And me trusted the branch (they used to be very good and have an excellent reputation before they moved to where they are now or I don’t know how many times they changed hands) I should have counted before I left the shop which I didn’t. Anyway the money is going back to my Aunt which I was helping her to do this. So instead of her losing out, I have to take £100 out of my own pocket. Expensive lesson to learn and never trust anyone these days. I wish the staff have a good share of the money and spend it well. They probably need it more than me. I don’t have any proof or even a receipt and I have already left the shop so I cannot do anything Just remember every family have their problems, they don’t speak out doesn’t mean everything is good. However honesty takes you a long way. They probably have some sort of excuses or even saying CCtV can prove everything. But I think only me and you know the truth. 🧐
