    Multiple Failings

    Sales process is opaque, particularly in respect of the lease interest rate, which was never revealed. Challenged this on the basis that this is a financial product (not to mention general commercial transparency with a customer) and therefore regulated. The response to this was that because it is paid for through salary sacrifice the product is not regulated and they won't show the applied interest rate. Not sure that stands up too too much scrutiny... Decided to proceed - effectively had no other option if I wanted a car through the salary sacrifice scheme - and ordered a car. Vehicle that arrived had a material element of the specification wrong. Octopus tried to hide behind the fact that the manufacturer no longer offered this and this was not their fault. The fact that the Octopus ordering system showed the option didn't seem to be a factor. So too, there was no adjustment in the price to reflect that the option that was ordered and priced for (i.e. more expensive) was not delivered. No ownership or accountability. Promise of a charger, which was never caveated, appears to be worthless if you live in an apartment. Every excuse under the sun was used not to install this and there was no genuine attempt to. Also took a very long time to get to the stage of my application for this being rejected - serious delays on availability of engineers. The "4000 miles" alternative to a charger was in no way credible - the credit given (£400 at the time of contracting, understand it is now £600) - provides around 2,000 miles (although obviously the car, conditions and driving style influence this). Communications throughout have been appalling: inconsistent, ill-informed, contradictory and generally demonstrating ineptness. At a simple level, a significant number of emails coming back to me were without the previous messages, starting a new thread so nothing could be reasonably tracked. Previously stated points/ facts frequently lost. Overall, disappointing in multiple respects and gives the impression of a possibly credible energy company jumping on the bandwagon of salary sacrifice for EVs and looking to exploit/ milk a tax benefit designed for individuals for itself.

    Great EV salary sacrifice experience..

    Octopus EV Salary Sacrifice provided a great experience from start to finish.. A simple website allows you to review available EV's, with costs and delivery time.. My assigned EV Expert Manny, helped secure a great deal on a VW ID3 and supported through the order process.. Whilst there was a short delay in delivery due to Xmas/NY holidays, we start 2025 with our new EV.. Thanks Octopus Team..

    It's worth it

    I signed a leasing contract with Octopus EV. I can say that their service is excellent, very fast, high-quality and affordable! Everything went according to plan, no delays! I recommend without any doubts!

    Excellent service

    Excellent service. Octopus is riding higher with amazing offerings for real green energy solutions and sources for power. I leased a car from them, which was amazing, it just shows how diverse they are but still able to deliver customer satisfaction. Highly recommended.

    Anything Octopus, you just can't go wrong!

    I've been an Octopus Energy customer for a few years now, the service has always been miles above other providers. Switching homes and all of the available tariffs to provide to peoples different requirements has always been a breeze. It wasn't until I switched jobs and needed to look for a new car that I started looking at the Octopus EV salary sacrifice scheme through work. The whole process through the quote portal, finding the right car for you and the support available for choosing is just top notch. We ended up seeing a black friday deal through the portal and with all the benefits included through the scheme such as insurance, maintenance, discounted EV intelligent octopus go tariff (6p kWh off peak!) and Electroverse credit for referrals it was an absolute no brainer. Some of the best put together offerings are available with Octopus. From ordering to receiving the car, there were regular updates and from delivery they make everything as easy and clear as possible. Very happy with the whole experience.

    Flawless Customer Service

    The customer experience throughout the whole process was flawless. Valentina was very responsive, informative and helpful. I was slightly disappointed with the wait time for the car but apart from that I couldn't fault the process at all!

    Highly recommended to anyone considering an EV!

    I’ve had an absolutely fantastic experience with Octopus Electric Vehicles, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the level of service I received—especially from Mei Blonde! Mei was an absolute star in resolving a small issue I had with a free charger promotion, going above and beyond to make sure everything was sorted to my satisfaction. Beyond this, Octopus Electric Vehicles has proven to be the most affordable and value-for-money solution out there. After comparing options, nothing came close to the combination of competitive pricing and incredible service. The little touches, like the freebies (breakdown warning light, torch, car mats, Squishmallow octopus, and travel mug), really made me feel valued as a customer. My new Peugeot e-2008 SUV arrived on time, with 97% charge and just 1 mile on the clock—it was a joy to receive it in such pristine condition. The car itself is a dream to drive: smooth, comfortable, and the perfect choice for my move to electric. What really ties it all together is the seamless connection with Octopus Energy’s EV-friendly tariffs for economical nighttime charging and the convenience of the Octopus Electroverse. It’s clear that Octopus is all about making EV ownership as easy and cost-effective as possible. From start to finish, this has been a brilliant experience. Octopus Electric Vehicles, and especially Mei, deserve all the praise. I feel so much better off for making the switch to OEV—well done!

    Excellent customer experience.

    The process of understanding the scheme I was joining, right through to my car being delivered was seamless. And the car has been fantastic. Specially I’d like to recognise the young lady who helped me post signing my contract, Heli. Heli was incredibly personable and supportive, always seeming to go the extra mile ensure I was informed and felt valued. Heli embodies what I believe top-tier customer experience should look like, and she’s a credit to her team and the organisation. Thank you Heli 🙏🏽

    Super attentive and super easy

    Had a really great experience in getting the car from Octopus EV. Everyone I spoke to was helpful and attentive, especially Harry who took care of every question and issue that came up quickly and with care. I will say that if you are an Octopus customer looking to connect your car to your account, be aware that not all vehicles on offer are part of that scheme yet so you'll have to check or wait. Car was dropped off on time and is a great drive. Honestly an uncomplicated experience.

    Excellent!

    Octopus has been great in helping me from start to finish with my EV car. Samiha has been really helpful, answering all my queries and making sure I have everything I need. After delivery, I emailed with an issue with my car and she called me within a few minutes to help me get it sorted. I really appreciate everything they have done and would definitely recommend them! Thank you again :)

    Cannot fault Octopus at all. New to leasing and getting an electric car. Helpful people to explain the process. Everything handled fast and professionally. Dedicated advisor on hand to answer/deal with any queries and ongoing after sales support should it be needed. Stress free experience with excellent comunication.
