Zero customer service zero communication
Applied for a debt consolidation loan was accepted , put my details in for the consolidation on the 15th July and heard nothing since. Zero communication, zero updates. They can stick there loan!!

Anyone looking for a loan, please read all the comments with 1 star. There is a reason behind those comments. I realised it later. Took out loan in may, paid within cooling off period. Had to pay 457£ of interest, it's complete ripoff. Zero service.
Honestly at first I thought they were good but now I wish I never got there help . If your in trouble they will find a way not to help . They will also offer you a top up loan and constantly knock you back sitting in their ivory tower watching you get declined . Definitely won't recommend anyone to use oakbrook Update :I put in a complaint as I had asked for the topup part to be taken off my account . Got a reply a few days later saying sorry about the late reply it has been taken away . NOPE STILL THERE . Wrote to them again and still no reply but surprise surprise the topup still appears . It seem not only do they laugh at people trying to get help but they also teach their support on how to outright lie aswell

I thought about taking a loan to consolidate my debt but always thought I’d be over my head, I took the step with oakbrook and the pressure it took off me was a much needed relief, and they send you information on how to save , I also got my loan within 40 mins after a phone call from them , 👍👍👍👍

The staff have poor communication skills I asked for a 1 month hold period as I've had an unexpected expense bearing in mind I've been paying all my past payment on time they were able to give me a month hold however they started the hold period in the middle of the month which made no sense at all as my payment are usually made end of the month which now gave me 14 days from original payment date when I needed a month they did not advise me if I confirm the hold period it will start from the day i confirm if I knew that I would of contacted them towards the end of the month I only contacted them earlier so I don't leave it till last minute. I would not recommend getting financial help from oakbrook loans there are plenty better lenders
In October last year, I was unfortunately the victim of cybercrime which lead to my identity being stolen. My bank accounts and emails were breached, as well as my phone number. Whoever it was took out a loan with Oakbrook Finance for £1500, which was deposited into my bank and flagged as fraudulent. My bank froze my account and sent the money back to Oakbrook within 24 hours. I've had the confirmation from 3 different agents at the bank that the money was sent back with dates and a reference number, and yet Oakbrook are claiming they have never received said money and are now chasing me for the amount (despite me providing them with screenshots of my bank statements and multiple crime numbers). However, the last agent at Oakbrook I spoke to on the phone said "I can see the amount was paid in full", and then backtracked and said he will look into it with his payments department. I was told "we will investigate and get back to you in 5 working days." 3 weeks later, I am still yet to receive said call, but they are quick enough to send me letters every few days demanding payment! Absolutely appalled that it has taken this much of a battle for over 6 months now and we are still no closer to a resolution.

Oakbrook Loans are an absolute joke. They “approved” my loan, then pulled a U-turn the moment I submitted my self-employment documents. Clearly, they have zero understanding of how self-employed income works – it’s like dealing with robots trained by idiots. Total time-wasters who lure you in with false promises, then backpedal without explanation. Thankfully, I went to Novuna instead – smooth, fast, and actually competent. Avoid Oakbrook like the plague if you’re self-employed. In fact, avoid them full stop.

I have not had an issue with them, until now. I went to check my "Settlement Balance" only to realise they have not included the most recent direct debit payment of £143.80. When I contacted Oakbrook, I was told my Settlement Balance was £471. However, this is NOT reflected in my online account. Contacted them again, only for them to say "it will be a few days for your account to reflect the new Settlement Balance". We are on day 5. Multiple emails sent. Multiple excuses by them are given. I know exactly what you are doing, Oakbrook. You don't want to show my reduced Settlement Balance to include the Direct debit made on the 26th April because you're now aware I want to close early, meaning you lose out on that lovely interest. Isn't that right? The most recent excuse is "We've notified our IT team of the problem" Sod off, Oakbrook. We both know that's BS. You just want to get more money from me. Fix my account now to show the CORRECT Settlement Balance, and I'll consider changing my rating. Update: See what I mean? "Make a complaint" even though they say complaints can take upto 8 weeks. Not good enough, Oakbrook. Tell your team to stop being incapable of performing basic customer support.

Straightforward
They show no regard for customers mental health issues. Despite telling them of my addiction problems, and ongoing anxiety,depression,suicidal thoughts and brain malformation... and providing many supporting documents, they insist on a GP health form despite the current backlog in the NHS. Trying to make a GP appointment just to fill out a form, is nigh on impossible. They have proof of all my conditions, but cause further anxiety and distress.
Anyone can write a CrowdTrust review. People who write reviews have ownership to edit or delete them at any time, and they'll be displayed as long as an account is active.
