I am made to feel like a burden every time I phone up. Customer service is very bad unless you're one of their favourites. I purchased a bike there which has been constantly breaking down and the waiting time to repair is over one month at times. I was told I was contacted about a part arriving but I didn't receive any call or voicemail. One of the mechanics said what a great bike I have and then a few weeks later said you will be lucky to get a few hundred quid for that if you sell it. I received an angry voicemail after leaving this review..I received criticism about repairing my bike for free but they didn't fix it the first time when I paid for it and was taken in for the same issue..Even after the second time it wasn't working asbit should. They reiterated that they left me a message and missed calls to say my part had arrived but I didn't receive either so I carried on paying a fortune in train tickets and cycling a lot and you wonder why I left a negative review?! I even received a voice message on my phone that was meant for someone else! These are symptoms of being too busy and understaffed. I took it elsewhere and it was way better. I will be taking my custom elsewhere from now on.

Really friendly and helpful staff

Really friendly and helpful staff. I just popped in for some advice and the response was great, all the people I spoke to were keen to help and treated me like I wished all dealerships would. An excellent first time experience I will definitely be back.

Would highly recommend Newcombe Motorcycles, with a special mention to Sophie. Sophie has supported our son through the whole process with expertise, patience and understanding while navigating what bike to choose, helping with insurance and a special thanks also to the time and assistance to Cam, who ensured that Harry was safe and giving time to him to practice safely under their watchful eyes.

VFR 800 Service

Pete and the team (particular thanks to Tom) did the valve check on my VFR 800 this week. They did an excellent job, offered me a loan bike, and all work completed on time and at a competitive price. Tom took the time to explain all the work carried out which I really appreciated. Highly recommended.

I can't thank these people enough

I can't thank these people enough, I brought a motobike this year and have had nothing but trouble from it.having my own transport is so important to me for my independence and work ect ,every time my bike has broken down and its been quite a few times, without hesitation or an appointment these guys have been my saverours , not only did they see to my bike and get the bike sorted they did not charge me the earth because they new I had fallen on hard times. What else could I say about this great family run business , well loads 👍 the staff are great and the macanick are top fellas always willing to help and get you back on the road ASAP. Thank you so much once again Newcomes.

Service above and beyond

Submitting this on behalf of my neighbour Steve in Goffs Oak , Herts The engine management light came on 72 plate Interceptor. He phoned Newcombes and they said “bring it down we’ll have a look. “ On arrival they said they were pretty sure of the problem and told him to pop next door for a sandwich. Before he’d finished eating they phoned him and said “ your bikes fixed”. He was told what the problem was and they refused to take any payment for sorting it. He purchased some chain lube and told them to keep the change.

Purchased a bike through newcombes with…

Purchased a bike through newcombes with a warranty, had an electrical fault, after inspection was charged an hour and a half labour and told the bike was completely stripped to find moisture "in the ecu" a sealed unit, got bike back after a week with the main fuel tank/fairing head snapped off, all loom moisture gators not back in the the correct positions to protect from moisture and some of loom loose.. intend on visiting shop in the morning for correction/answers. Very angry customer right now

Bought my first Royal Enfield as a…

Bought my first Royal Enfield as a seasoned biker at Newcombes and what a refreshing experience it was. Tracy sold me a Classic 350 from stock, no fuss, and added all the extras with a short lead time for delivery. Sophie handed the bike over on the day, and made coffee while the workshop guys added something else I needed on the day. First service came around and I needed a pannier set not standard for this model. Peter at Newcombes clearly knows his stuff as he modified and mounted textile panniers in under 24 hrs and they look as if they should always have been there, perfect. Its a real pleasure to have a local shop where the team are interested, knowledgable and engaging. The bike is great and Newcombes are by far the best dealer experience I have had in recent years. Highly recommended.

I’m a new rider and this shop is…

I’m a new rider and this shop is amazing after attending several shops and not having good advice etc I come to here and I was being told about nearly every bike in the shop they was helping me with the perfect bike for me and so far so good! I had my first service today and I’m very pleased with the service I received!! Highly recommend

I bought a second hand bike from Newcombes they were very knowledgeable and really helpfull as I came in and out a few times. Pete was brilliant as were the ladies in the office. Will be coming back when I need a service or MOT.
