What a horrible experience overall. I went to my local (Chico, California) Michaels to get the cost and availability of a mat and a frame for a picture my dad sent me from Switzerland. Turns out they no longer carry metal frames in the store. The young associate who helped me showed me colors and got me a price for just the mat (normally $ 30.00 discounted to $ 15.00). She loaded the parameters, so I could just go in and order it. I went online, and could not find a frame I liked, so I ordered one from another retailer. Went in this afternoon to order it as the frame was arriving tomorrow. I went in and stood at the framing counter for about 15 minutes pushing the button to summon an associate. The entire time I was standing there, a lady on register # 2, who I suspect is the acting manager was on her headset, and aware no one was helping me. After 15 minutes a person came in from outside the store, walked towards me and told me she was on break for about 15 more minutes, but that she was the person I needed to talk to. She told me she would try to get someone else to help me. She did not even try but went into the break room where other people were. 15 minutes later she walked by and told me she would be right with me, she had to let someone into the bathroom first. I had heard the lady at register two talking to someone about letting a person into the bathroom while I was waiting. When she returned, she was quite helpful in getting me the correct color for the mat, turns out it was the back color for most of the colored mats. I told her I wanted to pay for it and pick it up tomorrow morning. This is where things got ridiculous. She told me that she was off in 20 minutes (remember she just got back from break) so it would not get cut today, and the person who could make a mat was scheduled at 1:00 on Saturday, so it probably would not be done by Saturday. She was off for a three-day weekend. At that point I told her that this was ridiculous, never mind, I would find somewhere else to do it. I called a local place downtown. He will do it for me tomorrow, saying it takes about 10 minutes. I called Michaels back to let the manager know what had transpired and reached Maria, the manager of the framing shop. I let her know how I felt about all of this, and she hung up after I used an inappropriate word. I feel better having let all of you know.
Purchased item on line. I tried using their tracking process, but it is only for show. They said my item was delivered but it was not. The website is miserable - very hard to find customer service telephone number. The live chat never worked. This company is wobbling on two wheels and two flats. First and last experience with this company. I am amazed they are in business.
Donna at the Leominster store was excellent. She was inquisitive to our needs, was very attentive, caring and helped us out 100% and this was in the framing department at the Tower Plazza at Leominster Ma. Today at around 12.00/12.30 on December 17 - 2023.
This is a follow-up to the one star review I left several days ago regarding their atrocious Customer Service. Now if I could give them NO STARS it wouldn't even begin to cover the aggravation and time spent trying to resolve a very simple issue. After 3 chats and phone calls requesting an order be cancelled they have the audacity to send me an email just now advising that they shipped the order!!!!!! Almost a week after the chats and calls. You can be guaranteed that the merchandise will be returned to the store. I will never order from their website again unless the merchandise can be picked up at a local store and then again maybe even at that probably won't order from them again. So tired of the baloney with this company and others and their so-called Customer Service where the rep's don't speak or understand English and could care less about the customer they're dealing with. Sorry had to vent as there's no way to email them and vent just their totally useless chat or phone rep's!!!
Wrong item received. No packaging for items in shopping box. Received damaged product on a later delivery. Customer rep couldn't resolve email address error, and so I couldn't look up my order on line...poorest shopping experience in my 59 years of life.
I normally like shopping at Michael’s. I recently purchased some holiday candles on sale 3 for $9.99. When I went home and lit and burned 2 of my candles for at least 2 hours, I couldn’t smell the scented candles. I decided to return the candles. The store clerk wasn’t sure if she could allow the return so she got the supervisor. I was told that I couldn’t get a return on the candles. I was like “why not”? I was told because Michael’s can’t restock the product. “Oh, I see”… I said to the supervisor “So, Michael’s sells candles that don’t work? I told the supervisor that they could keep the candles because I didn’t want them due to them not working”. She called the manager and I was refunded my money but with the warning “Only this one time”. Really?! What ever happened to guaranteeing the products you sell? I’ll continue to shop Michaels but I will avoid candles, especially scented ones.
I placed an order on-line and received a message right away that my order would be ready shortly for pick up at a location near me. Product was on sale, awesome price. Next one said they would hold it for 4 days and I was able to be there before this date. Pick up was a breeze. Had a young lady who smiled and addressed us, got our order and asked if we needed anymore assistance. Wonderful customer service at Kennedy Commons in Scarborough On. Highly recommend this location to others, plus Warden and Eglinton where I've made purchases in store previously.
No customer service went into return. Some items I purchased online cash registered did not know how to return them and the manager said she was too busy to come to the front for another 20 minutes never buy anything at Michael’s.
They need a complete overhaul of their online Customer Service. Chatted and called yesterday and another Chat today. Appears that none of their rep's speak, understand or can read English. It is so frustrating and a total waste of time trying to resolve the simplest of issues. Placed an order over a week ago, part of which shipped and was rec'd. Two items remaining have yet to ship - needed everything by today but no one can seem to understand what I'm advising. Repeat, repeat, repeat and they still don't get it. Finally chatted today advising I need to cancel the two items and rep still didn't understand - kept referencing the items already rec'd. Finally got them to advise they would refund/cancel (which is it) and adv I would receive an email when done. It's been over an hour and still nothing. Should have been done before rep ended chat. Absolutely ridiculous!!!!
Do not order online and have your order shipped!! Paid for delivery and tipped the driver for same day delivery and two days later it wasn't delivered!! Impossible to get a refund!! Could have gone to the store and got it myself which I actually ended up doing!! Terrible customer service and management!
SouthWind Coinrings, a very high quality company! I ordered a Morgan silver dollar coin ring and it came to me in a timely manner but, I must say that the quality is exceptional!! I will certainly purchase from them in the future and recommend them for anyone looking for a unique coin ring that stands out beautifully!
Oh why can’t Michaels have United States customer representatives handling their customers? I have been trying for almost 5 days to return products that were incorrectly delivered. Wrong product. Spent close to $600. No one understands English and no one knows how to fix the problem that you have. Trying to get UPS labels for return has been a nightmare not to mention them following through and actually having UPS scheduled to pick up those items without charging you. I have filed a report on the BBB and I suggest everyone else that has a problem do the same. Each of the items way between 35 and 40 pounds I cannot as a senior citizen be taking them to the post office myself or going to the actual store and exchanging the product just ain’t gonna happen. It would’ve been nice if the person who actually fulfilled the order at the Jacksonville distribution or the Texas distribution center would have done their job correctly highly recommend they get fired. I don’t do well with ignorance or stupidity and it just seems like that’s all I have been dealing with for about a week now. Michael’s you need to do better! This is ridiculous hoping that you realize that cutting corners to try and save money for someone answering your phones hit you in the pocketbook and less people shop at your store! I will never shop there again.
Had the best service at the Fresno location. Had an issue with a tree and Chantel was beyond helpful. She was friendly, knowledgeable and resolved our issue quickly. I have been in this location 4 times this week and the service is amazing !
Michael's website is the worst!! I would be shocked if anybody actually ordered anything from their website!! It is so slow, it jumps around, sometimes it just freezes, omg it is infuriating!! So infuriating, that I had to write this bad review!! These companies just out right LIE on their websites to get you into the store! Do not trust anything Michael's website tells you!! Or you will be leaving a bad review as well!! Do better Michael's, for all the money you charge for mediocre products, do better on your website!
I was shopping at Michael’s at 27 Centre Drive, Central Valley, NY10917. I was assisted at checkout by Greyson. What an asset he is to your store with his knowledge and personable manner! I was shopping on Sat. 11/11/23 in the evening. If only there were more people like him in this world, what a better world it would be!
Used Michaels app for some great buys to pick up at the store. I had set my store preference and made sure I could pick up the items I ordered. I got confirmation emails that they were ready to pick up. When I got to the store, I knew there was another bag, but the employee said "no". I wanted to show her my confirmation email. When I found it, I realized it stated these items were at a different store!!!!! Are you kidding???!?!? That is ridiculous and I'm not sure I want to use the app again. What is the point of setting your store preference?? Ugh!
Worst experience ever. Today I went on Michaels website look for 3 items I was looking for they said they had 2 of each.so I place my order with my 3 items they are in sale so I went for it.they they offered a 20% discount if u apply for them card so I did.so 30 min later they txt me that my order is ready so I go get it to find out that 2 item they don't have and they cancelled my order.and now I have to wait 5 day to get my money back for something they never had and I got charged for...I will never go back
Went to Michaels in Murfreesboro for in store craft hoilday ornament class. First we were told to buy an ornament from aisle 100 (no direction on type). Then the employee running the class (who acted like she had no interest in helping or doing class) said all they had was Pour Paint? When asked how we could design or how long to dry ornament, she said she didn’t know. It was a mess no towels, no direction. Employee said busy during the season no time for these classes. I understand so rather than have horrible classes during busy season just don’t have them.
Whitby Michaels has completely switched to self checkouts. I asked the staff member where I could input the coupon code. She looked at my phone and told me i wasn’t on the Michaels website (which I was) b/c the coupon banner didn’t open up the QRcode. When another nearby customer made a comment about the self checkout I agreed that it was very inconvenient to not have staff help. The staff then said she was there to help, and was helping me. I replied that she had not helped at all, and simply told me I was on the wrong website. Only then did she offer to enter the coupon code for me. Gee - Thanks! I rarely go to Michaels b/c of prices, but now I will attempt to do all my craft shopping elsewhere.
