Never again! Waiting since 4 weeks for a refund

I ordered online for over $150. I returned the order on 6/27 since the yarn was horrible quality. The return was received by Michaels on 7/12. I called and chatted online and was told that my refund was initiated and will take 3-5 days to be processed. Today is almost 4 weeks later and I still don’t have my refund!

I am a former loyal Michael's customer…

I have been a loyal Michael's customer for many years, earning reward points and have always been happy with the service and products, until the last 2 times I've used their online ordering. Never received my last order and it is impossible to contact customer service. Everything is computer generated. I track the order to a UPS drop site, was never notified that it would go there and no notification that it was there and now it has been returned. I cannot get an email address or any way to contact customer service except.for a phone number which leaves me.on a press 1 for service loop. Help! Anyone else experience this sudden lack of customer service access!

Incompetent staff

Incompetent staff. Do not know how to exchange or find items. Sends the customer to go find them instead of being helpful and putting the customer first. Managers are just as incompetent. They do not match or do anything when it comes to the online orders to help satisfy the customer. Complete run around and uneducated staff at Altamonte location

I shop at the Michaels in my area to…

I shop at the Michaels in my area to support my community and the store. I'm an artist I shop there frequently. Without cashiers in the store and people ask if you have a question, it does not feel like a welcoming place to shop. It would be just as easy to shop online. The products are good but without people the experience is not really worth it.

The sticker price is listed in $US on…

The sticker price is listed in $US on some products in a Michaels Canadian store. The $US price is in big print and the Canadian price is in tiny print so it’s very easy to miss. The product I wanted looked to be $2.99. At check out it was 5.99 and the clerk pointed out that $2.99 is in US dollars. No one expects products to be listed in US dollars in Canadian stores. Also , $2.99 to 5.99 is not a proper exchange rate. That’s 100%, not approximately 40% as it should be. I think this is a bit deceiving even if that’s not the intention. The $US needs to be blacked out so as to not cause any confusion to the customer, and so the customer doesn’t pay more than expected at check out. I think it’s a poor way to do business.

DO NOT GET SHIPPING

I ordered 5 picture frames to be delivered to my home and paid for next-day shipping. The frames were left on my doorstep with no box or protection at all with the shipping label messily slapped on the top frame of the stack. Only 2 out of the 5 frames were the size I ordered. I had to go into a Micheal store to get the mistake fixed. TBH the people at the store were very nice and helpful and got the mistake fixed in a timely manner which is the only reason I am not giving one star however I wouldn't have paid for shipping if I knew I would still have to go into the store anyway to get the frames I wanted and paid for.

I placed an order for fathers day on June 3 with June 8 delivery. Nothing to give to my 84 year old sweet father…

I placed an order for fathers day on June 3. Received Your order has shipped on June 6 with Delivery by June 8!!!!!!! It is not June 12 with no package. I made 3 calls to customer service only told on the 3rd call escalating to Kevin that my order will NOT arrive until after Father's Day!!!!!! My father is turning 84 on Friday and leaving on a two week vacation. I have nothing for him. Now I am told it cannot be returned nor can I stop the order!!!! I will NEVER deal with this company again due to their lying about false shipped date and horrible unprofessional customer service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. Shame on you Michael's for false advertising and indifferent customer non-service.

Going down slowly, only Rewarding online Shoppers.

I used to love Micheal’s and spent a lot of money there. It is now self checkout. No staff and no coupons if you are shopping in the store, Coupons are only valid if you shop online. If that doesn’t say you’re not welcome To shop here, do it yourself online. I believe that’s a goodbye for me.

scam

These people on this credit card are the most thieving people that can exist, I had a balance in which I paid everything I owed on time, then when I went to see my bill, it had a late charge of 30 dollars and I am 100 % sure I paid it on time, then when I call to complain they tell me that I didn't pay the full bill last month, that they could only give me 15 dollars as a courtesy, thieves people, don't get this credit card, the only thing that they know is scam people

Today I visited the Burlington NC store…

Today I visited the Burlington NC store made a purchase for $47.43 I leave go to dick’s sporting goods to buy work boots and go to pay for them imagine my surprise my card was declined so I go to my mobile banking and was surprised that I had been charged 4 times @ $47.43 go back to the store and was told pretty much we can’t do anything call 1800michaels I call and get told it’s usually days to get the refund put back on my card not acceptable so I’ll be calling my bank tomorrow and dispute it so moral of the story check your mobile banking info if you use your debit card in that store .

I used to love Michael’s

I used to love Michael’s, but after they switched to self checkout, the registers don’t recognize your member barcode and don’t recognize the coupon codes. Clerks have to be hunted down and don’t know how to fix the errors, so you get a line of customers who need help . It is frustrating and I now avoid the store- at least Joann’s still has clerks to check me out!

Their prices are outrageous compared to Joanne an Hobby Lobby, no coupons for in store anymore(dumbest move ever) competitors will get my business and many others I’ve talked to business, they won’t be in business 2 years from now if they don’t change their greedy ways

I know I have been trying to return a…

I know I have been trying to return a single HD 6700C sewing machine since Saturday May 25 2024 and the store manager told me she would have to get permission/investigate from her supervisor to return my so called high priced item of $300.00. I originally told her I didn't have the original receipt just a printed picture of the receipt. She told me that they needed the original receipt. By the time I left the store and got to my truck my wife found the original receipt and so I tried one more time but she would not do it. My other problem is that she told me to use the protection plan via email to get my money back, but I still this day I have not received the protection plan via email. I decided to call corporate and try getting my refund that way I told the associates my story and they have not emailed or even called me back since saturday may 25 2024. I am now sitting on my hands with no refund and a sewing machined that doesn't work

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. First, no coupons for people that shop in-store only online shop so obviously they don't want people to go to their stores, they charge stupid amounts delivery so you can't afford to shop online. Third, if they want people to use self-checkout so they can get rid of the staff at the stores, they need to make the machines easier to use. Got the yarn I needed at Walmart.

ADA disrespect.

Today I visited in Tower Square Shopping Center 5106 Northern Blvd. Queens, and was denied access to an accessible restroom, despite the ADA law requiring it. This is a disrespect to the rights of people with disabilities.

Massive self-checkout screens are a disaster

No more 20% off in-store coupons and the new, MASSIVE self-checkout screens are a big NO. Anyone behind you can see all your personal information you are required to enter before scanning your items, and it's lengthy. Then when scanning your items, the total is wrong, i.e. scanning some items twice. I've shopped at Michaels for years after Hobby Lobby discontinued coupons and increased prices. Finally, an associate appeared and said she wasn't "supposed to help" but offered the woman in line behind me the regular checkout option. The associate was attempting to walk me through "how to delete an item the computer rang up twice". I protested, said I didn't realize that I had the option of regular checkout, moved to the associate’s register and checked out. The woman behind me had many items and it would have taken forever if they had forced her to use the self-checkout. This is my last purchase at Michaels, in store or online. Major faux pas to try and upgrade to be trendy. This ain't it folks.

I was a loyal customer of Michael's until recently, I went to purchase some items when I got to the register only self serve was open, I asked an employee that was working up front if she could help ring me out she asked if I was paying cash I told her no, she said only self serve was open, and she could help me with that, I asked what's the difference if you help me check myself out or you do it? I DO NOT LIKE SELF SERVE, (I am already spending my money there so you could at least have someone working a register), so I told the lady that she could help by putting the items I was going to buy away, I left them on the counter and went to Hobby Lobby and purchased what I needed. I will no longer shop at Michael's if they insist on me serving myself.

Charlie at the Waynesville NC store in the frame shop is a rare gem. He takes such pride in his work and the quality of his work is best in class. I just wish there were more Charlie’s. Please be sure to give him a raise. Lisa Miller

Worst customer service ever!!!

I’ve been going to the Michael’s store in Hunt Valley ever since it opened but no more. The only checkout available is self checkout and there is always some problem with a scan or a coupon. The person working there is extremely rude and takes offense if you need any help at all. I will not return to this store!!!! If I need something I can do it with Amazon and free delivery !
