Ensuite had an issue with the hot water tap not turning off completely, due to the split washer and not sealing correctly. water was leaking quite significantly. I attempted to turn the water main off but it would not turn off either. I contacted Metropolitan plumbing emergency call out. 141 AUD callout fee, for assessment and a quote. The tradesman arrived and confirmed the taps needed replacement and the brass seats needed re seating. also the water main was faulty. Unity water was called by the tradie and they came out to quickly replace the faulty valve which was free. Once it was fixed the tradie went about the repair. In total in took roughly 45 mins to drill and replace the old tap ware. New tapware was installed. The bill was 949aud for replacement of two taps and drilling of the brass seats which only 3 mins MAX. (basic tap design only) The tradie did quote the cost before work took action i did agree to the quote but when i saw the how little work was involved to rectify and replace the taps it was very clear I had been way over charged for the services provided. Tradie was on sight for a total of 3hrs majority of this was chasing Unity water to repair the water meter valve. Actual work completed by tradie approx. 45minutes. When I received the invoice by email later built into the price was the quoting cost. When I initially spoke with the call centre I was advised the callout FEE covered the quote as well. Misleading information by the call centre. The tradie was great to deal with but the cost was ridiculous once I witnessed the total work that was required. 2 new taps and 3 minutes of drilling plus some silicane behind the taps nearly a thousand dollars. I did call to follow up with Metropolitan plumbing about the breakdown of costings and the operator had no willingness to answer my questions or take my call seriously. When I asked if I could speak with a SPVR or MGR the response was for what reason. Poor after work service be very careful if you choose to use Metropolitan Plumbing.

a call out fee to assess an issue with a broken heater system. 1st day, one technician informed a cleanout and service would be able to fix it, quoted $1250 for the whole job and a deposit of 60$ was paid. 2nd day, another technician arrived at the house, went to the heater and inspected it, informed us that the heater was in fact broken and required additional work to fix it. No cleanout service was completed but yet asked us to pay the remainder $1250 despite not doing anything. When called to ask why we are charged for this their response was "We are a premium service". Do not recommend this place, scam like behaviour targeting those who are uninformed or do not know how actual plumbing or electrical work should cost. Avoid using this company at all cost, save yourself the time and money lost.

called then as it was urgent water leak in the lounge room. A guy came and quoted me 800 dollar to find the leak with out checking anything and said it will be more after he finds the problem and have to take the toilet out. Went with my local plumber $200 he fixed the water leak will never use them again.
