I have been delving into my family history more and finding out my lineage traces back to Scotland inspired my watch purchase. I love how customizable it was, and able to add my last name and the Scottish clan motto to it. The leather is stiff and the tartan stitching is well done. The watch itself is simple and elegant and is a terrific piece of Scottish tradition and culture right on my wrist.

This was an important gift, so I was hesitant to order long distance. Our son-in-law loves watches, and is very particular about what he buys and wears. So, I had several concerns. First with the watch fit?… the wrist would be larger than average, I wanted to watch to be comfortable and look good. Next, I wanted to watch to be beautiful, yet respectful of his Scottish heritage, but I was clueless about tartans! The watch checked all the boxes! It turned out to be a beautiful blend of tartan, with a contemporary edge,…love the black face! We went for all the options! So I can say that strap lettering is even and is very comfortable against his wrist. The back of the watch is engraved and was beautifully done, exactly as ordered. The gift wrap added a very special touch to the presentation. Our son-in-law loved it! As a customer, I appreciated the quick response from your customer service team whenever questions did arise. In addition to answering questions, they also provided tartan options! Very helpful! Such an individual, and personalized item is not a last minute gift! This gift took approximately five weeks from order to completion, as stated on their website. It was worth the wait! I highly recommend MacKinnon Watches!

Great company, was a little bit of an ordeal at first as I was unable to work out the information they needed, but with their help got their in the end. Website is good, but needs a tad more clarity about what info on Apple Watches are needed. Especiallly when you are buying it as a gift so don't have the actual apple watch. But none the less, they helped and we got there. The strap is beautiful, well made and very smartly presented. Would certainly use them again and its great to support a growing business. Good customer support is so crucial and they provided that along with a quality product.
