Kaplan…the proof is in the pudding.

Kaplan does a great job at systematically preparing you to take the NCLEX. Little by little, it builds up your confidence in using strategies to answer questions you have never seen before. I am glad my school used it to prepare us for the exam, because based on our cohort NCLEX results, it was a successful method.

Critical Thinking Skills Needed

I hadn't been successful in passing my first attempt at NCLEX-RN using Archer & Uworld. I believe that maybe I hadn't been able to sharpen my critical thinking skills as needed for this exam. Nclex is COMPLETELY different than any nursing exam i've taken and I tried to study for it the same way I would in school. Kaplan's Study Plan gave me a step-by-step path to success. I was able to also participate in their LIVE classes on The Channel and ask whatever questions I needed to their knowledgeable and friendly instructors. I was also able to watch past recorded lectures on over 100 topics covered on the exam. Thank you Kaplan for helping me prepare in a more efficient way! I PASSED my exam in 85 questions this past July 2023 after having used Kaplan's self-paced 6 month program.

Live Online + Tutoring

I likes that there was a lot of content review, however, the questions were more based on content compared to AAMC material. I thoroughly enjoyed the live-online course as it helped me learn and try new strategies. It was very engaging and helpful in maintaining motivation. Highly recommend. I would say online tutoring was not very helpful unless you can create a plan for every tutoring session. Overall I'd say that the content was helpful but not worth the price as my scores were pretty stagnant.
