Ordered autoglym ceramic online for click and collect from Yeovil local store. Ordered 25th may for 1st june delivery. Not sure why it should take so long but anyway. Shown on order to be available from 10:00 1st june but wait text &email before going to store. No text or email despite 16 being in stock in store. Rang customer services. They couldn't get through to store but said someone would ring me back. No call back. Totally useless. They take your money but don't deliver. Never use them. I certainly wont be again. Use eurocarparts instead they are cheaper & they deliver when they say they would. I ordered from eurocarparts Wednesday. Picked up in store Friday with no hassle.
I didn’t get the guys name but he was working today at 12:30 in the cycling , I called in as I had got a puncture whilst out on a bike ride, he fixed it for me there and then and tightened up my derailer and brakes at the same time which he really didn’t have to do so just wanted to leave a review to say thank you for going above and beyond
Worksop Halfords - R134A Aircon 49 showing stock, none on the shelves. So many empty shelfs it looks like their closing down. No wonder you can go to a garage and get a proper regas cheaper than they supply a 500gm can.
I originally joined the Halfords Motoring Club Premium Monthly for my previous car, but I sent a formal cancellation request on 25th September 2024, clearly stating I no longer needed the service due to a new car with a full Toyota service plan. Despite this, Halfords completely ignored my email, and as of June 2025, my membership is still active, and I’m still being charged £4.99/month! See the attached image – it clearly shows my subscription is set to renew again on 27/06/2025. To make matters worse: • There is no option to cancel your membership from the website. I’ve looked all over the account/subscription section – it’s designed in a way to keep you locked in. • The customer service phone number is useless – I tried calling several times and couldn’t get through to anyone. • Email support has not acted on my original request, even with all the correct details provided (customer ID, billing address, and reason for cancellation). This feels like a deliberate tactic to keep people subscribed and charging their cards even when they no longer want the service. It’s unacceptable and dishonest. Halfords – you need to fix this process, respond to customers properly, and stop charging people against their wishes. Customer ID: 1047214075
We bought a bike from Halfords and wanted it to be a balance bike. My daughter was too tall for a balance bike so the sales assistant helpfully suggested that a normal bike could be fully converted into a balance bike by the store and we would be able to collect the next week. When we returned the following week to collect the bike it was not ready. We contacted customer services who said the bike would be ready the following week and gave us a reference number. Upon collecting the bike the store had left the crank on, my husband asked for it to be removed, the staff refused. I then contacted customer services and was told a manager would contact me. The ticket was closed before I received a call back. This went on back and forth. When I received a call back eventually I missed the call. I escalated a complaint and received an email which said I should bike a balance bike from the store, which my daughter was too tall for. I escalated again and never heard back. We returned the bike to the store. To conclude my husband made 4 trips to the store for this bike. I made 6 calls to customer service. The result was a waste of time and no bike. I shall never purchase a bike from Halfords again and shall be telling friends and family to not purchase a bike from in store.
I think halfords often sell what referred to as rubbish amidst some very good items. I bought an obd2 reader for £40. As I looked longer I felt I was being stung. I sat in my car and googled them and found that the identical format of this all be they different colour and name were being sold for as little as £18. I immediately went back in the shop and gently confronted the shop worker with images and prices. I was immediately refunded. Honesty of the worker 10/10
We recently bought a bike for our daughter from the Coalville store and couldn’t be more happy! We ended up buying her a new helmet, too, as the staff member was so helpful and knowledgeable, but also incredibly kind and patient with our nervous 7 yr old. Accepted mobile installation order, didn’t turn up, feeble excuse when I phoned day after. No intention of contacting me of course. Now nobody has responded to complaint follow up for 10 days despite multiple mentions of 1-2 days response time when on the customer service team.. who are not able to help with complaints… Ref 26166829
Ordered and paid for a item went to collect told no stock Store manager told me I can have item free when back in stock but item no longer sold by them halfords is a total con and the way they treat customers they will be the next store to close down totally disgusting service
I bought a bicycle in Dec 2024 in the Swindon store. It was a low-end unit (Apollo Phaze) and I was quite aware of it. I kept it in a shed and with a cover. I used it exactly 3 times and about a month ago I saw that the front wheel was wonky. I've been back and forth with customer service and the store. They blame me for having done something stupid with the bike. They will not cover anything under their guarantee and want me to pay for the repairs. I understand that I cannot prove that I've only used it 3 times, but the issues they've found with the wheel (but also with the bottom bracket) cannot be explained by how much I've used them. It's clearly an issue with the quality of the parts and they've clearly told me that when I replace them, I'd better buy higher-quality ones that will last longer. So, they say it's all very cheap and that i should use better parts but will stop short from admitting that this was the problem and that it's their responsibility. I do understand this is a cheap bike, but it's the most expensive one that you can possibly buy if it only lasts a few months/rides. I'm giving this 1 star because they sell really poor quality bikes but also because their customer service is only there to deny everything and be unhelpful.
Top marks for your Staff! But I feel utterly “Rinsed” due to your pricing! I went into your Warrington Store. Found a helpful member of staff right away. I requested a “Full Set of wiper blades”. As I am female I knew normally I struggle to fit them so paid for the fitting service. The price was £32.89…. Fair enough! I park up in the fitting bay and then he chap Brett appeared straightaway… he was pleasant enough… My complaint is not about Brett! The wipers two front were fitted and when I said about the rear… the one which was split and needed replacing… I was advised that was an additional £14.99!!! 😡 As a goodwill the second fitting charge which would have made it £14!!! Was waivered but I feel less that happy as I feel mis-communication and manipulated which does not feel good to anyone! Upon return I priced Europarts which for identical “Bosch” was £21.85 as toHalfords exorbitant inflated price of £40.98!which I paid today. Two separate receipts if you wish to make contact and resolve. Thank You.
Great pair of tyre fitters came and were so careful fitting low profiles to my alloys. Friendly and professional , will definitely use again 10/10.
First of all there was a mishap that delayed my bike being built for almost a whole week and secodnly I'm using the bike for only the 2nd day and the gear swich is not working properly and the chain keeps falling off. Will never buy anything from there wver again, waste of money and bad service.
Congleton Halfords store: I bought a dog headrest dog guard and cover for the boot of the car. The staff were informative and so helpful. A member of staff found exactly what I needed and an absolute super star member of staff fitted it. He was professional, efficient and took time to explain best use of purchase. I will return every time for this service.
ordered 2XPirelli Scorpion Zero All Season Tyres: 285/40 R22 110Y 30/5/25, booked and paid for the premium slot for the saturday 31/5/25 3pm. Rang to confirm my slot and to see if i could bring my car in earlier as this was what i used to do prior to halfords taking over (they used to be great !!) to be told my tyres haven't arrived and wont arrive till next week. Poor service in general and unnacceptable booking system as it allows customers to be charge and pay for a slot , and not even notify me when it fails to deliver.
Please be aware of Halfords chillwell Nottingham brought a carrera vengeance e bike 6 months ago £1.100 the bike as been in 8 times to be fixed it’s had 2 new battery new crank senor and ecu and still not fixed I brought new hydraulic brakes handle bar stem in December before I brought them I asked toby if it would effect the warranty on the bike I was told no cause I brought them from Halfords ask for a new bike was told no cause I put new brakes on it and new stem they have now told me to go to another Halfords shop to have it fix as they have done all they can do to fix it they have no clue about e bikes if anyone is thinking of getting any e bike avoid Halfords I wished I did
Ordered an item for home delivery. DPD ‘tried’ to deliver once according to the tracking and helpfully uploaded a photo of my item in a box seemingly in a van - I have a ring doorbell and no footage of this was captured. The tracking then details several ‘delays’ with DPD where they didn’t try to deliver at all, only delayed it. It was then returned to sender. I then was refunded only the cost of the item, not the delivery charge. This all took about 3 weeks. Honestly, can’t be bothered at this point to kick up a fuss about the £2.99 delivery but suffice to say won’t be ordering from Halfords again. Would also advise them to change courier services.
In total I have had 3 tyres fitted in the past few days and I was really impressed with how smoothly it went from start to finish. The guys that came to do it friendly polite and very helpful with any questions I had. Thank you
Absolutely shocking service, had to cancel order after 2 and a half weeks of waiting, you can't even speak to anyone on the phone at your local store, was told my order would be 1 week at most, won't be ordering from halfords again.
Anyone can write a CrowdTrust review. People who write reviews have ownership to edit or delete them at any time, and they'll be displayed as long as an account is active.
