My wife and I have been using Grubby for several months now. She actually cannot get to prepare any of the meals as I (who hated cooking!) love doing it so much 😄 We have only had one meal neither of us were keen on. Thoroughly impressed with the recipes in general though
Very filling and delicious meal boxes and easy to follow instructions. I’m not vegan but really enjoyed their recipes so will be ordering from them again. They use high quality ingredients - you’ll see the brands they partner with. Mostly paper packaging with minimal plastic too :) Only criticisms were we were missing a garlic but we had some already anyway so we weren't too bothered. Also the veg could be a little fresher but this probably isn’t so easy to get right for a company of this size and I would rather the veg not be thrown or go to waste so happy to use it still even if a little soft in places… Looking forward to ordering again from you guys :)
Really pleased with Grubby,I have limited mobility at the moment,so to have everything right in front of me is ideal, Quality has always been good and portion sizes. Normally I would not be up to cooking for guests but this makes it so East,I just double up. I've also in the past taken a delivery on holiday. I like the fact there's so little waste. I also feel I'm being more adventurous as the meals are all set out,less daunting than a recipe book.
As a uni student with a lot of work, I've always wanted a meal planner/ingredients sent to my house for quick, easy meals. When at King's Cross Station, I talked to a very sociable, helpful Grubby member, and was immediately sold. Setting it up was easy, and the delivery went according to plan. The meal choices are diverse, and the box I got came with a fun Spotify playlist. Also, a sample of deodorant, and discount code for the company! I had a blast cooking the meals with my friend, and we ate like kings. Seriously, Grubby shows that vegan meals can be just as tasty (in my opinion, more tasty) than meat. You can tell the ingredients are fresh, and Grubby is clearly a trustworthy group that is actually helping the world. I honestly couldn't recommend them enough, and have already referred two friends (you get free boxes/discounts by doing this). Looking forward to getting my next box, and eating healthily.
Grubby is proof that vegan food can be satisfying and delicious! I only found out about Grubby from a one of these people who talk to you on the street. I was a little apprehensive about signing up since I had never heard of them but I am so glad it did. We've been getting Grubbys for around 6 months now and have genuinely loved every recipe (even some that I was skeptical about). If I had any criticism, it would be the amount of garlic that I now have! It's an issue they are aware of apparently. Very minor issue. If you're vegetarian or vegan or just want to eat more veg, Grubby is an absolute must!
Excellent food - varied, exciting and tasty recipes, easy to make and always delicious. Instructions are straight forward, and the Spotify list is an extra fun bonus. I have trialled a vast amount of recipe boxes and Grubby is by far the best. Would highly recommend
I was approached at Kings Cross by Baba and have to tell you what a credit he is to your company! So friendly, approachable, informative and generally nice guy! We have now had 3 boxes and have found everything to be in perfect condition on arrival (we live up north so a long way for it to travel!). As working parents of two we have found having a couple of meals a week planned and ready for us to go super helpful! Can’t recommend enough and can’t wait to order more :)
Got my first order a few days ago. Rotting vegetables in my first 2 meals. I’ve cancelled all my future orders. The minimum you expect from a food company is fresh produce. Unforgivable that they send vegetables in that condition. So disappointing
good - wide range of plant based options, including breakfast - i love the breakfast option - probably not the best bang for my buck overall as porridge is relatively cheap - and there possibly could be more breakfast options than 1 per week - however i absolutely love the one option and it's perfect for me for work because i only work 2 early shifts per set - sturdy cards thats are well designed and, for want of a better word, pretty - the partnership with BOSH is really smart and it works - coconut yog instead of canned coconut milk is a swap i've been making for ages and tastes great. reduces sat fat but tastes even more creamy - fairly sturdy paper bags - extremely good quality, really fresh food - i LOVE love love LOVE LOVE LOVE how the spice mixes are literally just small pots of dry spice mixes vs other recipe box companies who send weird, oily paste pouches for curries. the dry mixes let you manage oil control - i rate the playlists - overall the best meal box option for vegans improvements - box was leaking upon arrival - this company trying to reduce waste but two large separate ice bags were sent for 2 x 100g pots of coconut yoghurt (these are also potentially the leak culprit) - box seems unecesarily large? i can see how you're trying to stand out from hello fresh and green chef style boxes but this was just so wide and difficult for me to take from the delivery person ( i'm a 5 foot 3 female and didn't you know all vegans are sickly and malnourished!!!! /s) - i chose the option to leave the box outside if no one answered the door however the delivery driver kept ringing 3 times the doorbell and woke me up?? grumpy face - delivery driver then had to take a photo of me trying to hold this MASSIVELY wide box in my pyjamas, fresh out of bed - just an idea maybe there could be some kind of handover scheme where we send back ice packs to be reused in other deliveries ?? the plastic seems like such a waste and i can only reuse so many ice packs i haven't even tried the food yet, but from the menu cards, photos, and previous reviews, i'm pretty sure everything will be great. i wanted to put my first impressions out there I usually don't leave reviews but I want to be critical of this box because it has so much potential. I am so keen for more vegan options to be on the market, especially with this level of quality and clear eye for design. please please please make some small changes. i so want to see this company thrive
Whilst enjoying many meals for a while now, I am getting a little frustrated at the amount of items either missing, damaged or half rotten! I've also now had three recipes where items on the ingredient list were not mentioned in the recipe - and vice versa.
Love the variety of meals available and the ease. Always enjoy seeing what I'm cooking that week.
Great choice of recipes each week. All are very tasty. Convenient having ingredients measured out. Good portion sizes.
recipes are delicious! delivery service very reliable but I would like a greater variety of root vegetables , squashes ect and more recipes that reflect seasonal produce
Best option for vegan meals imo Have tried Gusto, Hello Fresh and Planthood ( planthood being the other purely vegan boxes) Have had a couple of delivery disasters but customer services reply straight away and have sorted any issues out quickly and efficiently. Veg thus far has been fresh and kept well … FAR better than gusto and hello fresh. menus not overly convoluted, reasonably simple to follow. Meals delicious - saves sooooo much time menu planning, shopping etc and best of all- NO MORE WASTE !! Not cheap but I’m sure saves money in the long run as no more plucking from supermarket shelves every other day ! Highly recommend!!!
Grubby is really easy, convenient and the quality is amazing! From placing the order on the website to the cooking instructions and throught the delivery everything is great! The customer service is on point and I love having little goodies in my box every week!
Grubby meals are great, the portions are more than enough for two very hungry people. Loads of choice each week. Best box we’ve had, and we’ve tried all the ones you know. Lots of good ideas for nights without grubby meals too.
We've tried many of these companies before, but get bored with choices and disappointed with produce. Grubby has never ceased to satisfy us on every level, and the little extras are a nice add on. Interesting menus, easy cooks and tons of flavour - not to mention the quality of the ingredients. I am one happy customer!

I’ve been ordering for over a years and Grubby never fails to deliver quality produce and their customer service is personal, professional and efficient. The ingredients are fresh and generous and as an added bonus there’s always a surprise full size ‘gift’ to sample other quality products. Delivery has been consistent with very little plastic. For tasty easy to prepare meals they are a must !
