We went to the Greenville sc drury inn…

We went to the Greenville sc drury inn and suites to get away from the effects of Helene in Asheville. The place was a great refuge for us. The manager Shay Wiener is absolutely the best . He saw that everyone was satisfied with the service and the 2 free meals. The staff were very welcoming and they worked all the time to make sure that the hotel was clean and fresh. The pool both indoor and outdoor wer a personal refuge. Thank you so much!!!!!

Drury hotel, Disney Springs, Orlando Very highly recommended!

Short version: summer family holiday, great hotel, perfect for families, excellent food, amazing staff, quick efficient transport to Disney park. Outstanding value. Highly recommended Long version: Family of four. First trip to Orlando staying in a hotel (usually stay in a villa) Location: very close to Disney parks and other amenities, walking distance of Disney Springs, view of Disney fireworks and drone shows each night from west facing rooms (or from pool/bar area). Close to restaurants, Vineland premium outlets and within $16 Uber/Lyft to Universal Studios. Food: breakfast buffet. Cereals, fruit, pancakes, cooked breakfast including sausage, breakfast potato, eggs and more. All you can eat. Variety of unlimited fruit juices (four types), coffee and many soft drinks. Ice and water on tap for filling water bottles for park visits. Pizza Hut food made on site. Market place / store on ground floor for supplies, food, drinks including alcohol. Dinner is unlimited buffet which changes each night eg tacos, hot dogs, pasta, chicken. All you can eat and very tasty, served 1730-1930. Three alcoholic drinks each per adult each night. Decent selection of spirits, cocktails and two different beer types. Rooms: very spacious, very comfortable and firm beds, great adjustable air conditioning, blackout blinds, massive shower (no bath in our room), two sinks for expediting getting ready/brushing teeth etc, microwave and decent sized fridge in room. Multiple charging ports for devices (USB ports and plug sockets, sufficient for all family devices for a family of four who have multiple devices) Pool:decent sized pool with hot tub for 15+adjacent to bar. Restaurant serves food to pool area also for outside dining, reasonably priced and very good. Staff: they are all very helpful and pleasant and genuinely keen to help. Transport: buses laid on solely for hotel guests to all Disney parks. Buses run with military precision from early morning til late at night in most cases; less popular park like Typhoon Kagoon has limited bus journeys but us only $7-8 in a taxi. Published timetable. Buses were literally ALWAYS on time , completely reliable. Never once struggled to get on a bus despite staying during peak summer period although sometimes it was standing room only. Uber/Lyft pick ups were always available within minutes and surprisingly cheap eg often less than $8 to parks. General: hotel is spotlessly clean, quiet and well located. Transport via buses saved significantly on costs of hiring a car and the $30 daily parking fee for Disney parks. Overall I cannot recommend this hotel enough for families and was very impressed. I doubt I will seek to book a villa again in future and will absolutely return to this hotel. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Stay

We stayed at the Drury Inn and Suites St Louis Southwest at I-44 and Hwy 141. Tom the Manager and Tom at the counter were friendly and accommodated all questions cheerfully. Tom the Manager actually took a little time to chat and seemed to be a very conscientious and caring fellow in regards to ensuring we had an enjoyable stay at the Drury. We wanted to thank him and the staff for a great stay. The room was comfortable n clean all accommodations were great and the food was handled well by the staff and was a good meal for dinner and breakfast, no complaints at all.

I wanted to love this hotel

I wanted to love this hotel. I traveled from Rochester Ny for a family reunion, and family in Mississippi recommended this hotel. I made a reservation online for 6/21-6/23. To make it easier put my credit card information in. Traveled to the hotel maybe 30 minutes later. Checked in by staff named Kim. She was also told that I made a reservation. I’m not sure if she was paying attention (NOT) because she created a new reservation for only 1 day! On 6/22 myself & spouse went to a family reunion and came back and could not get in the room. After going downstairs to correct this issue 3 times and being accompanied by “ the manager” the key still did not work! “The manager,” went down to correct the issue. But in the interim asked if our belongings were still in the room! WHAT!!!!! The staff was supposed to copy my reservation that was made on 6/21, that did not happen, the charges were different and they charged my bank account twice. The staff needs to be better trained and proper customer service. I did printed out receipts with attitude. We don’t need this hotel chain in New York!

We have stay several times at the San Antonio Drury Hotel with excellent service however this last time turned into a disaster. My husband is disable so we need roll in shower but when we check in and went to room there was tub not what we had reserved. So front desk was very kind and got us room across in plaza for roll in shower for 2 of the 3 nights we were staying. We had to move across parking lot to get our new room but to our surprise we got bed bug bites when I inform the front desk all she said was she would inform housekeeping. SO PLEASE CHECK YOUR BED FOR BED BUGS WE ARE STILL ITCHING AND PUTTING MEDS ON BITS

I'm 85 years old

I'm 85 years old, we spent the night at the Meridian, Ms. Drury. Cleanest and most comfortable room I've ever had. Everything was excellent, professional staff all around, good free dinner when we arrived and good free breakfast to wake up to. Nothing at all wrong! A rare treat after a 9 hour drive. This was our first stay at Drury but it won't be out last.

Clean, quiet hotel

This is for a stay at the Drury Inn in St. Joseph, MO. The pros: 1. Very clean 2. Very Quiet 3. Friendly staff 4 Excellent breakfast which includes toast, pastries, apples, bananas, oranges, three types of cold cereal, hot oatmeal, sausage, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, apple and orange juice and coffee. There was a covered pan labeled pancakes, but there were none the two days we stayed there. 5. They also have a 5 p.m. meal 6. Pool was open and appeared to be clean. 7. There is a second thermostat on the wall so that you do not have to go to the built in wall unit to control the temperature. Cons: 1. Entrance may be somewhat hard to find for some people because hotel sits behind a convenience store/gas station and the entrance is through a shared parking lot between that store and a Mexican restaurant. 2. There was a slight sewer smell in the lobby the day we checked in, but not in the rest of the hotel. This smell was gone by the second day so it must have been a temporary problem with a nearby restroom. 3. The set up for hanging clothes is weird. Instead of a rod going al the way across and a shelf for clothes and hats above that, there is a short rod high up on the same level as the shelves, then the shelves themselves in a sort of cube shape and then a longer lower rod under the shelves for more clothes. The upper rod is too narrow to hang more than a couple of things and the iron and ironing board are in the same space. We had to move the iron to have enough space to hang up our longer clothes because they dragged the floor on the lower rod. 4. The hinged door for the bathroom had been removed and a sliding door on a track had ben installed on the wall outside the bathroom. The problem was that the door would not stay slid all the way shut and left at least a 6"gap. Not only was this a privacy problem when answering the call of nature in the bathroom, but the door also covered the clothes hanging area when slid open. We were constantly sliding the door one way or the other. 5. There is no vent or heat bulb in the bathroom. If you stink up the bathroom you just have to live with it, even in the rest of the room, since the sliding door would not stay all the way shut. The mirror also fogs up with no vent. If you are cold blooded you have to dry off quickly with no heat bulb. 6. The bathroom had apparently been converted to a handicapped room because it had a walk-in shower, handrails around the toilet and the aforementioned sliding door, We had not asked for a handicapped room, but were OK with that. The doorway looked wide enough, and the bathroom was big enough, that we wondered why they needed to remove the original door. Also, the toilet seemed to be regular height rather than handicapped height, although we did not measure it. The pros far outweigh the somewhat minor cons and we would recommend a stay here.

Made reservations in Greensborough

Made reservations in Greensborough, NC for a suite. It said it was 5 stars on the web. When we checked in and went to our room, we opened the door and the smell was horrible. It smelled like smoke and booze, the carpet was filthy, the sheets had black grease stains on them and there were people partying in the hallway at 2am for hours. My husband found a sewing needle in the carpet which our small dog could have stepped on. We should have left as soon as we saw the room. Worst hotel we’ve ever been in- dump!

Unprofessional Interview Practices

Went to an interview at Drury located in Meridian, MS, I arrived earlier to show I appreciated the opportunity, was told to take a seat and they would be right with me. Sat there for 2 hours and was never acknowledged again, so I left without being interviewed.

Thumbs-UP to the Drury Hotel chain

On my current bus trip thru the southern US, we have already stayed at 4 different Drury Hotels and I want to give a "shout-out" to them for the friendliness (except for one afternoon receptionist at the Memphis South hotel on March 10th). Other than that one incident, all 28 of our bus roster have been very happy with the reception of our group, the prompt and friendly service, and the condition of the rooms & hotel. What I would especially love to comment on though, was the extremely kind & generous perk of the "kick-back", which includes a free hot dinner buffet, 3 free alcohol beverages or of your choice, and a free hot breakfast - during specific times. This "perk" is saving this Great Canadian Bus load of Seniors a whole lot of money and we most definitely appreciate it. Thank YOU, Drury Hotels. We look forward to 5 more nights with you folks over the course of the next 2 weeks.

Cancellation policy

I am writing to express my disappointment with your cancellation policy. I am moving across the country to New Mexico and arranged to stay with you along the way. My spouse stayed a month ago as she preceded me in our move and was well pleased. Unfortunately, as I'm sure you are aware, there is a severe mid-western storm. This caused me to change my entire route to avoid the storm. I'm disgusted that there is a no cancellation policy, which in my humble opinion is draconian. We will make a point to not stay at any Drury facilities in the future as well as add these comments to any available customer review platforms.

We have stayed at Drury Hotels for many…

We have stayed at Drury Hotels for many trips because they are pet friendly and this was important to me. After a day of driving it is always nice to check into one of the hotels because I know what to expect. The “kick back” and breakfasts are good and the staff at all hotels that I have stayed at are always welcoming. However, changes have been made throughout the chain of hotels. We are now charged $50 for incidentals, which if you don’t buy anything at the market or destroy your room is fully refunded. Some amenities have been stopped, like hand lotion. That was always nice and I liked this little “extra.” Popcorn is no longer available either and that was always nice to snack on after a long day of driving. Overall I am pleased with the hotel chain and don’t plan to change our hotels when we travel. It is a nice hotel and the “kick back” and breakfasts are good.

Shady Pear Tree

I scheduled a series of hotels on a trip I was to take. One was the Pear Tree in Terre Haute, IN. I found out shortly after making the reservations, which were a week in advance, that I would not be going. The next day began contacting the hotels and canceling my reservations, in the interest of being a good actor and allowing the hotels to re-sell the rooms. The other hotels enabled me to cancel my rooms immediately. Drury Hotels, which the Pear Tree is apart of, did not. I contacted their reservation department and was told to make a hardship claim online, which was denied. I wrote to the agent who contacted me that I would not have made the reservation had I known I would not be able to cancel. I rechecked the website and found that Drury puts additional important information regarding a booking in very small light print that I cannot reliably read without glasses. The agent gave me two options that were totally tone deaf to the situation at hand. Perhaps this sort of practice is common across the industry. Perhaps this is Drury's business model. I don't know. I am not satisfied.
