The customer service does not answer…

The customer service does not answer they’ve had the outgoing message due to Covid they’re not answering their calls yet Starbucks is answering their calls all along you sign up for their program yet you don’t get points when you go into the restaurant they say the computers work half the time customer service doesn’t send you an email response back very poor way of doing business they shouldn’t have incentives when they don’t honor them I added 10.00 it’s not showing up I was charged on my cc

I'm a Coffee Bean loyal customer for many years now in the Middle East

I'm a Coffee Bean loyal customer in the Middle East now for so many years, when they've changed the owner the menu became more poor,very limited items,plus there's NOT any vegan food items too! Never ever they're giving any complimentary to loyal customers,not even on International Coffee Day on the 1st of October.They're not having any point system cards as well anymore,as mentioned,since another owner(local owner unfortunately) took over,everything became more poor,crappy.The owner obviously doesn't have any knowledge about people's food allergies/intolerances for not having any vegan food items.

Coffee Bean stole the money from my family's gift cards

My family and I have several Coffee Bean gift cards. Two of my family members wanted to give their money to me because they know I (used to) like Coffee Bean. I emailed customer service to see if they could be combined into one card. Instead of honoring that request, they said that I had improperly accessed other people's (my family's) accounts. They shut down those accounts and zeroed out the gift card balances. They would not return the money even after all the cardholders asked for the money back. They confiscated about $59 of gift card money from us. California law states that the value on a gift card belongs to the beneficiary, not to the issuer, so I don't see why they think they can confiscate the gift card funds, but it's just me against them. After weeks of emails with customer service, they will only return the money if we provide receipts for the gift cards, which we don't have because most of the cards were gifts. I strongly advise avoiding Coffee Bean--but especially their gift cards. I hope you consider my experience--where Coffee Bean steals our money and demands a receipt to use our gift cards--before buying a Coffee Bean gift card or giving them any of your business.

A fraud and a scam

Fraud. I could not redeem the gift card online that I received for my birthday. There is no one to answer the phones and no one replies to support requests. They have literally stolen the money of myself and family member who bought the gift card. It has all the hallmarks of a scam. This company is a fraud. Steer clear.

Way better experience than other coffee…

Way better experience than other coffee shop. Just add more variety on the food part(cakes,bisquits) to make it a go-to shop on any crave time. Also, they should have more outlets available on other places. Great job in total. Keep it up! :)

The webstore sells nothing but stale beans

This review is for coffeebean.com web store. I purchased around 7 pounds of whole coffee bean from the webstore over thanksgiving, including the expensive Jamaica blue mountain which costs 25 dollars for a half pound(I wrote a review on the JBM on Coffebean.com but was blocked by the company and never posted). I received the beans around December 7th. I drink coffee like water and I don't really pay much attention on how it tastes unless it tastes super bad. After drinking these beans for a couple of days, I felt strange that my coffee tasted plain and watery. I use a super automatic machine so it could not be a brewing problem. I also realized my kitchen no longer has that "coffee aroma" when I brew, and I am surprised how good my lobby smelled downstairs when I walk past that coffee vending machine even with my mask on. Then I realized all the beans I received are roasted between April and June, therefore the freshest Beans I got was Roasted almost half a year ago! I understand due to the sale I shouldn't be asking for the beans to be roasted someday, but half a year go??? This is not acceptable, especially I am ordering directly from the company website, not purchasing from a supermarket or amazon where they might have beans sitting on the shelves for a while. I could only wonder does "The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf" roast their own beans on a regular basis or does the company just purchase their inventory twice a year. Will Never Purchase from them again.

Absolute WORST -- W O R S T -- online…

Absolute WORST -- W O R S T -- online retail vendor we have EVER dealt with. The website is a joke. Oftentimes the available inventory is "sold out". There is ZERO customer service. No phone #. Only email, & who knows how long you will wait for that response. They discontinued the "chat" option because it was so poorly handled that even they just gave up on it. Great capsule product, but we gave up for no other reason that HORRENDOUS customer service "trying" to be an online customer.

I'm not surprised at all that they're closing many of their stores permanently, not only due to their being bought out by Jollibee Foods, but they've been grossly mismanaged for years, allowing homeless persons to bath in their restrooms and never implementing any safeguards for paying customers. Their coffee is far superior than Starbucks and it's a sad shame they've fallen by the wayside because of glaringly inept management running the business into the ground.

They definitely have way better coffee…

They definitely have way better coffee than the other brand. Iced Americano is my daily necessity and they can provide me the strongest coffee for a commercial coffee shop. I do not need to add extra shots of espresso because every drop of their coffee is excellent. For me, their regular coffee is equal to the other brand's Americano plus two additional shots of espresso. It keeps me awake and sane the whole day so it makes me come back to them as often as possible.

A Better Alternative than S

A more relax, earth tone environment compare to Starbucks (dark and crowded like 16 century bar) with less "meeting" or "group discussion" people around you. more sitting area with more (social) distance without seeing each other's screen. Good beverage, of course, especially on their double shot espresso and their smoothie (two that I enjoy)

My friend and I patronised CBTL…

My friend and I patronised CBTL (Tampines 1) today in the morning. We hopped on the weekdays breakfast deal (2 sets for $10) and experienced few moments of confusion with the staff who attended to us. In this breakfast deal, we simply requested for an iced version of our lattes (originally hot). Based on how they were toggling the POS, we believe they are new to their roles and the cashier needed help to find the right option to press on the POS. However, after a few attempts, we witnessed that her colleague explicitly exclaimed “i don’t know this s*** man”. We understand the situation given that it may be their first few shifts at the job and that they are still getting used to the fast paced bartending environment. However, we feel that they could have handled their roles more professionally especially when CBTL is a favourite hangout place for many. Nevertheless, we ended up being overcharged because the cashier accidentally misunderstood our request for iced lattes (for 2 different beverage types all together) and after much deliberation, we enquired about it. Eventually, it was addressed and we were refunded. However, we were also displeased with the waiting time for our breakfast sets as customers who came after us and who also ordered the same item deal, got it first before us. However, we were pleased with the supervisor i/c for that shift who kindly presented us with a sliced chocolate mousse cake for his end of the service recovery. Thank you and we hope for a smoother purchasing process from CBTL T1 in the near future!

I would like to compliment Ms Huda from…

I would like to compliment Ms Huda from The Coffee bean at Parkway Parade. She served with excellence on 26/01/2020. 1. My Vanilla latte was not hot as I would have preferred it to be and she heated it up upon request with a warm and enthusiastic smile. 2. I misplaced and lost my card after buying my three breakfast meals. I got another card and she helped me to make the necessary arrangements to transfer the rest of my points into the new card. She was patient and served with a smile. She was warm and positive. Great job !!!

HORRIBLE QUALITY OF SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would post it 1000 times. I dont usually go to coffee bean, for i usually go to starbucks. Today was an exception going to coffee bean, only because i was with my family at a tourist area visiting the mission inn festival of lights. I am an ER nurse and I know all about patient satisfaction or at least customer service and is all about having patience...its my job! Nurses also have one of the most HONEST jobs! so I am not here to personally attack anyone or personally attack a business...I am totally HONEST because i visited this place, made a huge order and am completely upset that i was totally disrespected by the staff! Sadly, the supposed manager who happens to be a heavy set/ obese Caucasian female wearing black lipstick was the one who is making me have to come down to this and make a long a$s review! 1/4/2020 @ 8:55pm After having a nice walk around the beautiful scenery of the mission inn festival of lights, my whole family and I (group of 7) had a bite to eat and wanted to relax and look around some more after with a few warm drinks.... the nearest walking distance was The Coffee Beanery. As I wait about 15 minutes in line for about 6 warm drinks, I already saw the unhappy aura coming from the barista/ staff, I immediately had empathy and understood that they were not having a good day with all these customers and so little staff. I didn't mind the wait. I waited for my drinks and even walked up to the side of the counter to wait for my drinks and gave the heavy set female barista a smile. She didn't react, she appeared diaphoretic and was unkempt looking. I wanted to say something to make her smile but just brushed it off... My drinks were layed out in the counter after she was finished with them, I simply asked politely if she had any cup holders only because I did order 6 drinks, and my whole family was outside of the store. the small counter was already filled, and I didn't want to lose my drinks, so I hollered out through the window to my brother for help. In a rude monotone voice, she said, "Sorry no." Im not asking for her to kiss my foot and sprinkle glitter over my head all while saying these words! all I ask is for her to be kind and atleast let me feel better! I brushed it off...again im very patient. As my brother and aunt came in to help, I was confused on which drink belonged to whom. i ordred 6 drinks! I wanted a simple explanation and was still very polite. when I asked for a little help, she gave me a HORRIBLE attitude and said, "its already all labeled." the drinks were truly labeled but she had very bad writing too. Her "HC" for hot cocoa, looked like an upside down 4L. Her "HL" for Hazelnut Latte looked like 4T...etc... all in all, I was unable to read it all, end of story... when I asked if she could explain it all again to me... she completely ignored me this time and just shook her head. This time I became upset. never in my life have I barged out carrying 4 drinks in my arms and completely embarrass myself in a up class crowd. not only that, my family was wondering what was going on when I came out the store! I also found that they have called two security guards because they were petty with their work. this whole experience with The coffee beanery is upsetting. I was so upset because it ruined the time I had with my family and we all left early. I came back into The coffee Beanery to get a business card and the staff refused to give any names. all in all, not end of this story...I will go to district about this. its NOT okay to treat people this way only because you have a job that you don't like. I have sent emails here and there to the corporate office, better business bureu on how she handled my family's drinks, left yelp reviews, google reviews, and been texting my family who was part of this unsettling experience to do the same untill we get recognized. It is not okay to be treated the way she treated me & my family's drinks. This is for the coffee bean located at 3712 mission inn ave. Riverside, CA.

Just had a coffee latte at the airport…

Just had a coffee latte at the airport in Colombo, Sri Lanka. My wife said hers had NO taste at all and I thought there was a faint taste of coffee in mine. It was hot and drinkable but NOT coffee as we would like to drink. Even the dreadfull Starbucks makes a better cup - I'm sorry to say! Perhaps we were unlucky and the next punter had a better cup? But perhaps we shouldn't drink coffee in Sri Lanka? Hope you have a better coffee where ever you are.
