Terrible Customer Service

Bought t bags which were in a box and foil bag from local health shop. All the bags were split. Not out of date. Sent email to Clipper who asked me to fill in a questionnaire and said the'd send vouchers. They didn't. I will now have to complain to the shop/

Fewer tea leaves in a teabag?

Are there fewer tea leaves in the teabags than there used to be? It certainly looks like a smaller quantity, which would also account for the weaker, anaemic, tasteless tea I keep brewing. I've been a fan of the green boxes of Clipper tea for years (not the green tea!) but Yorkshire tea is surpassing it these days. I don't want to switch away because of your ethical standpoint, but you still have to produce a decent cuppa - come on Clipper, bring back your lovely brew!

Disgusting new flavour

Have been drinking Clipper Green Lemon for years, and it was always refreshing. Used to buy in bulk. Since they changed the packaging by removing the foil bag, it tastes awful and leaves my mouth feeling dehydrated. Am switching to ASDA's own brand.

Weak tea and no vouchers

I wrote to Clipper about their organic tea which I have been drinking for years and which is now weak and has to be left for at least five minutes to get any taste from it. They replied that strength varies and told me they had sent me some vouchers, presumably by way of recompense for my dissatisfaction. However, no vouchers arrived.I am now looking for another organic tea with some decent strength.

Poor quality, poor taste. No longer a purchaser!

I have enjoyed drinking clipper organic tea for many years but since you have gone plastic free (which is commendable ) the tea is undrinkable. It has no discernible tea flavour no matter how long the tea bag is left in, and has a revolting metallic taste from the start. It also strips the moisture from your mouth. It was so bad I did a covid test! Sadly I bought several boxes as they were on offer, but now cannot use them. I am really disappointed as tea is my main drink, and there are few alternative organic tea bags available.

What has Clipper done to the tea?

What has Clipper done to the tea? Been drinking the organic/Fairtrade for months to avoid plastic tea bags. Latest box of bags makes a pale yellow tasteless brew. Having looked at the Sainsbury's order, they picked "green" tea. I can see how easy it is to mistake. You need to change the packaging to differentiate the standard and green tea.

Why has Clipper Everyday Organic tea…

Why has Clipper Everyday Organic tea changed so much? It was a lovely golden, fresh-tasting drink until this last packet of 100 (bought in August 2022). Now dark and bitter! Won’t be buying again despite it’s organic and plastic free credentials. Such a shame! J Webster, customer of years.

We really used to enjoy Clipper

We really used to enjoy Clipper, it was a great brew and my go to tea. What have they done to the flavour and forget leaving you tea bag in the cup longer to get the a stronger brew, even my builders noticed the difference May have to go back to Yorkshire gold

I don't normally buy Clipper tea,but as Clipper Everyday 80 Teabags was on special offer I tried it. Never again, absolutely insipid, tasteless hot water.I let it brew for over 5 minutes as I do with my normal brand as well. Don't waste money on this even if on special offer.

Gutted…we have enjoyed clipper tea for…

Gutted…we have enjoyed clipper tea for years..won’t have anything else…but our recent purchase didn’t taste of anything…I put it down to a bad batch and not the new packaging…we ended up throwing what we had away and buying another…guess what..no flavour…even if you double up on the bags in your brew it’s like coloured hot water… obviously the fault is in the packaging…I mean they must have a reason for a cellophane wrap around boxes or foil wrap around the bags… So that’s that..We are longer buying clipper. Time to find another faithful tea bag friend .

Tonight’s brew has made my mind up.

Clipper has been my favourite tea for many years now however, it seems like the taste has changed with the introduction of the new packaging. It reminds me of cardboard and tastes quite unpleasant. I will finish this box as I hate waste, but once this has gone I will be trying other brands as it is a less enjoyable and quite unpleasant flavour.

Decline in quality of Clipper tea bags

Not sure what's happened to the flavour of the tea recently. Since purchasing the 80 bag box of Clipper tea, I've noticed a change. The strength and depth of flavour has disappeared and it has become cheap and weak tasting. Is this since the packaging has changed? I wouldn't mind less tea bags if the quality was the same but it is very disappointing now. I'm not buying it again I'm afraid.

Used to love this decaffeinated tea

Used to love this decaffeinated tea. My recent box has changed, very weak no matter how long I leave it to brew. Won't be buying anymore. I received a voucher after complaining to Clipper. I've tried them again and they are back to their good quality so worth giving them another try!😁

Foil free packaging has changed the taste!

I loved clippers decaf tea as they’re the only company (that I know of) in the UK who decaffeinate their tea without chemicals. The taste recently has changed, and I think it’s ever since they took the foil packaging away, the tea tastes like the cardboard that it comes in! Whether it’s seeping through the teabag now it doesn’t have a foil packing as protection, or they’ve changed the recipe I have no idea. Such a shame. If the foil packets come back I’ll probably buy them again, until then I’m afraid they’ve lost a customer!

Poor quality teas

I thought I was just imagining the change with Clipper teabags (normal everyday tea and Peppermint are the ones we've used for a long time), until I saw others saying the same. They used to be what I would describe as more premium, but for a while now I've noticed that both are very bland and tasteless, akin to very cheap, 'value' types you can buy from supermarkets (for a fraction of the price of Clipper, too). We won't be using Clipper teas anymore, sorry to say. They really are poor now.

Absolutely adore clipper.

Absolutely adore clipper. Love the peppermint and nettle. Really disappointed to learn that the orange blossom tea I thoroughly enjoyed in the advent calendar is discontinued! (Those two sachets were amazing!) I love also the chamomile (I put it with peppermint so if you could please combine the two i would be greatful!) Also, the calmer chameleon and raspberry tea fabulous! And I also really enjoyed the lemon green tea - I don't drink tea but these guys converted me! I even like the lemon and black tea now whereas before I didn't drink any tea including herbals! Good going Clipper! Ps - I have had to dedicate a whole cupboard now and can't wait wait to buy a display stand! (I would feel like I'm in a hotel!)

What has happened to my favourite tea.

What has happened to my favourite tea.. I have been drinking the nettle tea consistently for 5 years… I drink at least 6 cups a day… I am totally gutted to say with confidence that they must have changed the recipe! Now they are weak and tasteless… I will be writing g to the CEO to confirm the change in recipe!!!
