The car salesman I had, Stephen Nicholas was rude to me when I asked questions and very condescending to my family. We have taken family friends to buy cars here, so my dad said he was here regularly. After that, any questions we had about the car or if the car came with fuel or anything about the process was invalidated because Stephen laughed at us and shut us down saying “you should know that if you’re such a regular customer.” He did not tell me anything about the car or had any background knowledge on it, and argued with me when I wouldn’t get the add ons.. which made it clear where his commission was coming from. He did not offer to let me test drive it and didn’t walk me out to see the cat, instead giving me the keys to find it and look at it myself. My dad wanted to pick the car up between 7-8pm and he was angry by this saying “well is it 7 or is it 8?” My dad was saying there might be traffic so he wasn’t sure, maybe 7.30 or 8? And Stephen said no you pick it up at one time exactly there is no timeframe, you have to choose only ONE time to pick it up. He spoke down to my dad like he was stupid. We ended up scheduling it for 8, rescheduling on the day for 7, turning up at 6.30 and picked the car up within 10 minutes.. so there would not have been any problem at all and no need for him to speak to us like that. He refused to help us when we had questions about road tax saying it was our responsibility, even though he knew the answers to my questions, and knew it was my first car and I didn’t understand how to file or pay for it. On top of that, the car was still dirty when I picked it up although was told it would be valeted. I only bought from Cargiant because of the car itself, and definitely not because of the service we received. I would recommend to stick to official car dealers. This was the most unpleasant experience I have ever had and me and my family will not be returning. We spent £15k to be humiliated like that, I cannot recommend you enough to take your money elsewhere. I don’t know anyone in customer service who can act like that and still keep their job… Look at all their one star reviews on Google.
