Worth visiting with friends

It was our first time eating at this place last night even though we've been walking past it for a long time now. Was surprised to discover that they serve good food and drinks. Really worth the visit.

I've been a customer for over 22 years on the weekends; many changes have taken place. I wrote to the corporate office in New Albany about certain concerns and suggestions. That was in August and I've yet to receive the courtesy of a reply. It's all about upper management. The servers at my location are very good, but they can only do so much.

Treated Badly…

I had ordered from bob Evan's every Sunday morning for the longest time.. I called to place a pickup order..The first lady answered and I told her I wanted to place an order for pickup and she put me on hold and never returned..I finally hung up after 15 min. I called back and another lady answered and she put me on hold and never returned!.. I called back a guy answered and I told him that I had been trying to order for a half hour and then his response was I have to put you on hold! Unbelievable!!.. So I said the heck with it I'm never giving them my business again!! Bob Evan's is not all that!..I was ordering for my husband because I don't think they're all that good!.. I got him some IHOP that went smooth and great!.. The bob Evan's in Stafford, VA the customer service is HORRIBLE!.. You don't treat people like that!..Terrible! Terrible!

Veteran's Day Disaster

Took my husband out to Bob Evans for his Veteran's meal. His choice There was a waiting line, which was fine. Until it came down to two parties left waiting. One man was waiting for a to go meal. Then four young men came and got in line. The hostess had looked at us all while we were waiting. She took the four men ahead of the two who were waiting. The only reason we were acknowledged was the man for the to go meal said they had better wait on us. I told her she was too stupid for her simple job and I don't like my food spit upon and left. Had a wonderful meal at Denny's.

Do not eat here.i am very upset about the complaint manager answering the phone. He is very rude and hung up on me. I spent thirty some bucks for some cold as Ice baby portioned breakfast..it was simply horrible. Waste of money. I could have eaten and had more for five bucks at McDonald's plus have it be warm and worth every cent. I had to throw my hash browns away etc it was the worst waste of money I think I've ever spent. I will not ever eat there again..learn customer service number one problem...thanks

Bob Evans cannot get it right, no matter how many times they try

Expecting a turkey platter in a large container. Each item cam in a small container. The carrots were practically raw. If it wasn't that they were slightly warm I;d have thought they came straight from the refrigerator. The turkey was good, but dry, they do not put gravy on the turkey. Even when the Corporate Office sent a gift card, which didn't totally cover the same meal they were replacing, I had to eat there. Order came out without carrots and I was told I could eat the meal while it was hot and the carrots would be out when they were cooked. If you are smart, eat elsewhere, or throw your money in the street where someone will find it and put it to good use.

Horrible service!

Went in for lunch today with a friend to the Gaylord,mi store. The service was horrible! Our food took forever,( & was not that good)when waitress did arrive with our food she stood there complaining to someone else about being double sat before even putting our plates down. I told her she forgot my bread but she never came back, until she flopped down the bill. Complaining again 🤨 Then when cashing out the lady at register says “must be nice” when I paid with a large bill. Talk about being rude & tacky ! 🤦‍♀️ Won’t be returning

We visited the Elizabethtown

We visited the Elizabethtown, KY Bob Evans, yesterday. It has been a while because of a bad experience previously. We thought we would give them another chance. We should have gone to IHOP. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful. She took our order and returned with our food in a reasonable period of time. That's where it ended. Our bacon was burned, my wife's eggs, she ordered medium, were very runny. My BLT was dry, as no maya was added, I had to ask for some from another waiter when i could not find ours. When we were asked, at checkout, how everything was, we told him. He said he would get the manager. The manager was nowhere to be found. When I walked by the kitchen, looking for our waitress, I watched the cook eating something, while he was cooking at the grill. We feel the waitress should have never brought our order in that condition under any circumstances. Had she done so and told us it would be take longer because it was not acceptable, we would have understood, and her tip would have reflected so. She received 10%. I don't believe we will be back again. Bob Evans is not what it used to be, and we are from Cincinnati where they are all over. This proved why people choose to stay home rather than eat out. The quality is not there anymore. At least not to this location.

Equity and Acceptance

Valley Park,Mo.The server and options were excellent. The host/hostess service was questionable. We were told that the wait time was 30-45 minutes. We accepted that factor. We had our name put on the list. This location has an speaker system which allowed those outside, in the entrance lobby or car to here their name call. We had heard names called from all three locations. When the couple from the inside lobby moved we took their seat. I don't know if it was intentional but,our name was skipped over. When several individuals who had come after us were called,my spouse went to ask how much longer. Our name was now on a different location. We were now standing inside the store. An African American female had told us that we should check again because this happens frequently to African Americans at this location. Between 11 and 1:03 table 42/1

My Tuesday experience was horrendous

My Tuesday experience was horrendous. When I dine with my grandchildren there, they always sit us in the back and forget about us. It’s happened twice in the last 4 months. When I go with adults we are always seated in the front. We had a waitress that had an attitude from the start. Waited 15 min for her to come over and take our order. He face was flat and said you won’t get your food for 45 min. Well that sort of flustered me. I allowed 1.15 hours for lunch. Mmm so ordered for kids. They didn’t have chicken of any kind so it was difficult to pick something. I said I don’t want to order anything. She abruptly walked away . Not knowing if I was getting food or not I went to look for an answer. Well everyone was in the kitchen . This waitress even waited on someone else before me. I did let my grandkids get a little loud but they were hungry. When I ordered and wanted the fruit plate on the side for the kids she argued with me that wasn’t a side. It was an addition. The manager asked me what we ordered , I said ask the waitress, the manager asked which waitress. I said you don’t know which station your waitresses have ? She wasn’t happy. We got kids meals, asked for check. Another manager came out and said meal was free and gave me gift cards. I told her I won’t be back. She said please take them. They closed the restaurant in new Albany Indiana. It has really gone down hill.

The last 3 weeks and yes I mean the…

The last 3 weeks and yes I mean the last 3 weeks I have been to Bob Evans in Portsmouth Ohio and in New Boston Ohio. And all 3 weeks have been terrible visits. The 1st week in Portsmouth we arrived at 6 PM. We immediately get seated my husband our toddler and me. A waiter that was working there asked the short haired blonde manager woman why she didn't see us with him and she stated because there was no tables over there and we had overheard him him say I have 5 tables available. So then she seated us with someone else you could immediately feel the Unwanted feeling. Our waitress was very nice it was the manager who was very off putting. We ordered our food and we began to wait we eat we waited for 45 minutes for our food and the waitress came up to us and told us she was very sorry that the cook in the back was very upset that people keep ordering food. And that he was just taking his time on everything. When we went in it was not busy at all there might have been at least 6 or 7 table that had people. We like to try to stay on a very tight schedule especially with our toddler who is accustomed to eating at a certain time. She began to get cranky because she was hungry. Finally almost another 10 minutes had went by and we finally got our food my food was wrong I ordered the double meat protein bowl and asked for the sweet potatoes to be substituted with regular home fries and I wasn't about to ask the waitress to make it right because I didn't want to wait another 45 minutes to an hour. The manager then said to us as we were leaving did you know you get a cookie with her milk and I said no we didn't know that but then she proceeded to not give us a cookie and walked away. Which I'm OK with because my daughter doesn't quite understand what she was saying but if she Could understand she probably would've thrown a fit because she would want that cookie. We left the restaurant after 730pm and that is our daughter's bath time. The Following week we return to Portsmouth Bob Evans for dinner. We also arrived at 6 PM we immediately got seated and noticed there was only 4 tables that had people in it. We are creatures of habits and usually order the same thing I ordered the double meat protein bowl to substitute the sweet potatoes for home fries I asked the waiters if that could be done she said absolutely. My husband ordered the double meat farmer's breakfast and wanted Loaded hash Browns. And my daughter ended up getting Mac and cheese and green beans. Again we immediately ordered as we arrived and and we sat and waited we waited for a whole 50 minutes this time for our food. And This time a waitress gave us banana nut bread to help with our angry toddler who was hungry. As we got our food we quickly realized that again my order was wrong and my husband didn't even receive his hash Browns but again we weren't going to say anything because of how long it took for them to get us our food. Also there were people walking in wanting to be seated in the hostess was nowhere to be found so several people came in and seated themselves. We was so upset with the last 2 weeks of our visits to the same restaurant that I had contacted the website and filed a complaint I have not heard from anyone. My husband and I were absolutely disgusted and with the price of our bill it was over $40 On pretty much just breakfast food, When I can go to the store Cook A meal that is very similar to what we had with less wait time. And close to half the cost. Fast forward to this evening we went to the New Boston Ohio Bob Evans. Again at 6 PM it was not very busy we busy will you immediately get seated. And we again knew what we wanted. There was 2 other tables in the section that we was and we was at that had customers eating and the waitress was tending to them. So we sat patiently and was waiting for someone to come take our Drink order in our meal order. We waited for a total of 45 minutes and no one has came to take our order or are drinks. We immediately packed up our daughter and her toys and as we were walking out I let the waitresses know that we had been sitting for waiting 45 minutes for someone to take our drink orders and our meal order and that we were leaving. And a group of waitresses looked at me like I had snakes coming out of my ears. As we were walking out a customer that was in the area we were seated said normally the waitress that he had is a very good waitress. We filed a complaint again tonight online. Needless to say the last 3 weeks with Bob Evans in Portsmouth and New Boston have been horrible service, We will not be returning to either restaurants restaurants near us or any other Bob Evans for that fact. And since I have filed 2 complaints so far and haven't heard from them at all.

Every once in a while when out dining

Every once in a while when out dining, I’am met with an exceptional waiter, and today my wife and I stopped at store # 282 while traveling to DC. We walked on at this location which was fairly busy, we were met quickly by Brandi Settle who was smiling and so pleasant, so kind. She was in no way preoccupied, she was. Very much service oriented. She maintained focus not only with our table, but all of her tables. She truly is a team player, as an employer myself she models the professionalism an employer seeks. She left us feeling honored with her smile and character. Praise also to the kitchen staff for a delicious meal which was prepared and served hot in a timely manner.

Monday

Monday, 10/10/22 My name is Christy Morgan. My husband and I were on our way to Washington, D.C. from Covington, Ga. And decided to stop at Bob Evans for lunch (store #282). Our waitress, Brandi Settle, was very professional, thoughtful, energetic, and while we were there, always a step ahead of us in her service. I was very impressed! As far back as I can remember, she is the best waitress I have had… The food was excellent, as well.

Downhill slide.

My wife and I went to the Bob Evans in Sidney Ohio. We should have gone elsewhere. First there was two of us and the waitress that sat us gave us only one set of silverware and that was only the beginning. The waitress (Tammy) came over and introduced her self and the waitress that she was training. My wife ordered the grilled cheese sandwich and the coleslaw and I ordered the three meat omelet with hash browns. Both of us ordered the Banana Nut bread. We received only one of the bread and had to call Tammy over to get the second brought out and then to ask for the second set of silverware. When the grilled cheese came there was only half a sandwich on the plate. Tammy said the other half had fallen off of the plate and it would be out later. After taking one bite it was noticed that that cheese was not melted and was a single slice only. We asked Tammy about this and she said that that was how the sandwich comes. Lets see here. Two pieces of bread and one piece of cheese for a full order. That is a fantastic mark up. The coleslaw must have cost a fortune to make since the meal was $6.99. The second half of the sandwich never did show up twenty minutes later. The first half was never eaten. Tammy said she would take the price of the meal off of the check and never offered anything else. As I was finishing up my meal and we were ready to go Tammy came by and wanted to know if we wanted more to drink. That was the first time we were asked thru the whole meal. At $2.79 per customer for something to drink that is a big money maker.Just have the waitress ask the customer if they would like more to drink before the end of the meal. That would have been the proper way to do it. Tammy also was the most rude waitress we have ever had here. She needs an attitude adjustment. I find it hard to believe that Tammy was training another waitress when she has a problem getting it correct herself. This Bob Evans was at one time a fine place to eat but has gone down the drain. When paying the bill I was asked if everything was ok. I replied you really don't want to know.

Nice atmosphere but poor food quality…

Nice atmosphere but poor food quality for fructose intolerant or gluten sensitive people. I have to eat a salad when I go there and bring my own salad dressing whenever I'm forced to go there cause family or friends insist on going there. It is better than fast food restaurants though. Please just stop cooking with cheap oils and cheaper ingredients. Sunflower oil is nice, and it isn't as expensive. It has a nice flavor to it. Maybe you should hire Amish to teach you how to cook good foods. Even when I did eat the food (and get sick later) years ago, I thought it tasted mediocre or worse.

It took 45 mins to get our food and there were only 4 of us. When we did get our food, it was all cold. We told the person who delivered it to us as well as our waitress. Nothing was done about it. When checking out, we were not asked how everything was now were we thanked for our service. Not happy and most likely will not return.
