A kind neighbor told me you can order Thanksgiving Dinner online from BOB EVANS, Venice, Florida.
What a great idea!
I went to their website and placed an order for 4. You check what you want, and the next question is, do you want it delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday? I checked Wednesday. The next question was what time: early, late, or ASAP. I checked ASAP, thinking we would be one of the first. It would give me time to heat it up.
We are the first! Our doorbell just rang, and the dinner was just delivered. It's November 12th, not November 23rd.
I called and said there was a misunderstanding. I explained I ordered the Thanksgiving Feast, and Thanksgiving isn't until the 24th. The woman who answered asked me to wait and she would get the manager. She returned and said the manager said we can't refund you. The manager couldn't even come to the phone. How rude? She could have come and said I am so sorry, but once delivered, we can't refund you. I said I had a few questions. Can it be frozen? She said you can freeze it all.
We froze what we could. The turkey was cold, but all the side dishes were piping hot. I will have to wait until they are cooled and in freezer dishes.
We cut the pie because the whipped cream would not freeze. The crust is horrible, and the whipped cream is fake. Very disappointed. Bob Evans used to have good food.
