Bob Evans Restaurants

What’s there to tell? Hostile/Toxic work environment, harassed daily about my weight, appearance/scent, disabilities and work speed. Management does nothing. I face verbal abuse constantly from a coworker and I get either ignored or disciplined for defending myself. Overworked and paid little, no help whatsoever. Expected to be speedy when physically impossible. The work schedule is a joke, no hours or respect to employees who have worked for 5+ years, all hours always go to new hires which are usually immigrants. I usually work 5-6 hours, 1-2 days a week at minimum wage. Work schedule days are completely random and change often which makes planning for other things chaotic and nearly impossible throughout the week. Yay for guessing games! Usually work till after 10pm and expected to finish everyone else’s work. Forced to miss public transportation and always have to rely on either uber services or managers who feel generous enough to offer a ride home. No breaks ever, no chance to eat anything. At least fountain drinks are free for employees, able to survive on cola during my shifts. Other employees drag their feet then dump everything last min, they don’t scrape off plates and throw garbage in with the silverware tray. They don’t sort dishes and toss them wherever. Makes my job harder. The establishment is very filthy, to the point where there are roaches in the kitchen and dish area. There’s also sewer problems constantly. Food tastes good when made right, but often expired ingredients are used. 🤢 Bob Evans used to be good but due to greed and corruption/favoritism it’s all going downhill in a crater and fast. I seriously advise against working for them, I probably wouldn’t eat here either. Not anymore since there’s roaches and filth amok. Eat at your own risk ⚠️ Even McDonald’s is probably better.

We always go to the Bob Evans in Johnson City on Boone's Creek Rd. They have a wonderful staff daily. The staff is kind, helpful and attentive. The food is very good and plentiful. I had heard that a customer gave a bad review because the ceiling tiles needed to be replaced. Maybe this person should be looking down and enjoying the great service and good food. Some things are much more appreciated at eye level. Dennis

My daughter and I had lunch at a bob evans today and it was one of my worst restaurant experiences ever! The waitress was not that busy but kept avoiding our table for some reason. she acted like we were bothering her to take our order. After food came she never checked to see if food was ok we never saw her again. We had needed more salad dressing we could not get her attention. when we asked her for to go box and bill she made another person bring them to us the lady that brought us the bill said she had no idea why waitress told her to do that. we were nothing but polite and pleasant. Terrible!!

Breakfast was good, but we missed being able to order blueberry crepes Waitress said it was dropped from the menu. You missed a 5 star rating.

The place has the slowes. Took forever to get the meal. Then the waitress forgets the salad and serves it with the entree. The entree was over cooked and made me very sick where I ended up going to an Urgent Care. The salad was terrible as was their dressing. The Sundae had to be the worst Sundae I had ever seen....a couple of scoops of vanilia ice cream that tasted like it was very old and so little chocolate syrup it was like why even bother. On the way out the hostess asked what did I think of the service, When I told her she pretended like she didn't hear. In the future I will stick with McDonalds...at least you know what you are getting into.

Salad dressing was awful, had to beg for napkins, the chocolate Sundae was pathetic...2 scoops of ice cream with an eye drop of chocolate syrup

Waited over two hours for our meals. Won't be back. The manager Erica was extremely rude.

Went to bob Evans this morning close to lunch with wife we ordered hamburger and fries and a coffee took over 30 minutes to get our orders and hamburger was way over done and greasy almost burnt and got about 25 small tiny fries . And cost us over 32.00 dollars. This is second time there and waiting time was terrible and prices to high we will never go back to any of there restaurants again was terrible.

EASTER SUNDAY! I'M 83 YRS OLD. MY 1ST EASTER NOT COOKING A LG. DINNER. PER MY SON, NO! ORDER IT FROM BOB EVANS LIKE WE DID FOR CHRISTMAS. IT WAS AMAZING. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. ALL I HAD TO DO WAS DECORATE THE TABLE. THANK YOU! MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS EACH & EVERYONE THAT PREPARED THE FOOD.

I got a family meal for Easter meal was good when i got to the turtle cheesecake pie omg if you have never tried it run it is amazing .# Marysville ohio

We went to the Bob Evans Restaurant in New Albany, OH on 3/14/2025 for a family dinner. We arrived just before 8 pm. There were six adults in our party. The greeter requested the number of people in our party, then rolled his eyes and told us to wait a minute. He returned after speaking to the manager and seated us. It did not appear they were busy as there were only a few people seated. Our drink order was taken fairly quickly. When the drinks were brought to the table a few minutes later we immediately placed our order for dinner. While the server was taking our order the manager pulled our server aside to talk to him. We had to wait a few minutes to finish ordering. The server put the order in at 8:07. we were then advised that they ran out of some of the items we ordered and asked what we would like to substitute. Our drinks glasses had been empty for some time without the server checking to see if we needed refills. We flagged him down at 8:30 and asked if could he bring refills and our banana bread since our order had not come yet. He said he would bring them right out. The manager, greeter and server were hanging out at the window to the kitchen just chatting and not paying attention to their customers. After 15 more minutes, I approached the manager to ask if we could please have refills and the banana bread. He finally brought the items to the table. We asked how long it might be before the food was served. He was not able to provide a time. Our order was finally delivered to our table at 9:05. Some of the items requested did not come out with the order, so we had to request them again. On the positive side, the food was good, it just took a long time to get it. There was no communication as to why the order was taking so long or why our table was being neglected. The service provided was the worst I have ever had at any restaurant. We will definitely not be returning to this Bob Evans location again.

Took 3 hours to get my food, and another hour to even get seated. Drinks took forever, and the food took even longer.

My husband and I ate at the Canton Mi Bob Evans located on Michigan Ave. The shrimp he order tasted as if they had been refried or over fried. When he told the waitress she gave an excuse like that's how we cook them here. When I told her they are not eatable, she then said we'll half his plate is gone. She then said she would get the manager and then brought the check. When we went to pay the manager didn't come out until I said where's the manager. She finally came out didn't speak to us and took the shrimp meal off the receipt. We are never going back to this restaurant and we will let everyone we know how terrible the food and service is.

The dinner bell chicken was awful.

Florida location. We ordered through Door Dash. Food was hot and really good. Way better than Cracker Barrel.

I bought chili 5.99, it did taste good, but it had more beans than meat, would be wonderful to have a no bean options,

Bob Evans was my favorite restaurant for basically my entire life. There was nothing better than going and getting their chicken fingers with the incredibly good French fries. Unfortunately, the closest one to where I live now is 2.5 hours away. Went on a road trip today, and to my discontent they changed the chicken. What used to be delicious juicy chicken with a very good breading was now dry chicken with the most lazy, disgusting breading I've ever had in my life. Really disappointed that they decided to change the best chicken in any restaurant to the cardboard they have now. I remember when a competitor Friendly's did the exact same thing to their quite similar chicken, and then in 4 months when their sales plummeted they changed it back. All I can do now is hope they take the cardboard breading off the menu and go back to the good stuff. Won't be returning or recommending until that is done of course.

When ordering online to go, a tip is automatically added to your bill. For a pick up order!?? Absolutely not. So just to make it more inconvenient, you have to call in your order on the phone to avoid them adding a tip without your consent. Absolutely ridiculous and a rip off and should be illegal.

I downloaded your stupid app for the 5 bucks off delivery and then was told I don't get it. Thanks for wasting 30 minutes of my time b4 my 3rd shift job. This entire experience sucked & left me hungry. Hello Applebee's
