DO NOT do business here. They scammed me by taking my $675 reservation then declining to give me a car when I arrived (on time) and then not refunding my money. I'm filing a civil and criminal complaint.

J'ai réservé avec Argus car Hire une voiture pour 48 heures du 3 au 5 juillet à l'aéroport de Barcelone en payant le montant demandé. En arrivant chez le loueur il m'a dit que pour ma location il faut prévoir en plus 145 euros ou bien il faut prendre une assurance en payant en plus 100 euros. C'est un piège, en définitive cela m'a couté près de 170 euros au total, c'est de l'arnaque. Je me suis plaint sans aucune réponse. Argus Car Hire à fuire

This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a car rental company. After reading reviews and talking to other customers, I discovered that the company advertises cars they don't actually have, luring customers in and then offering them different cars in the same category without any alternatives. The recent car rental experience was a major letdown. We were initially excited about booking a convertible we booked 3 months in advance, but instead, we were given a completely different non-convertible car. The vehicle had a weak engine, consumed too much gasoline, and was uncomfortable to drive, especially in the mountains of Mallorca. No one at the rental desk or the car park pickup point informed us about the car substitution. When I questioned about it, I was told there were no other options available. The customer service we received was also very poor. They informed us that there were no other options available and directed us to contact customer service if we were unhappy. When I reached out to customer service, I was told, "Unfortunately, since the charge was accepted and signed for at the rental counter, we cannot investigate this matter. Legally, the contract carries your signature, so the supplier will not accept a refund for this amount."

Great car and service! Maybe write up something about the process for returning the car to the airport? It’s very easy but I had to ask people where to go.

me han cobrado 2 veces las tasas, y un extra para el seguro de 300€ cuando en la web era menos. Si no pagas ese extra, no puedes conducir por ciertas carreteras de la isla. No hay mail de contacto para poner la reclamación, una estafa.

Went to Portugal for 4days,booked a Argus car hire for 3days..Cab was totally cleaned ,,staff was friendly and helping nature.I personally recommended argus car hire,,thanks for the owner who fulfilled our demand as soon as possible..Definitely we will visit again

Easy to book and to amend booking, no hidden charges.

Klass Wagen were a great choice, very friendly and helpful. Easy check in and very nice car. Easy drop off too and quick transfer to and from airport.

Argus Car Hire has been hacked. I received a confirmation email today (7/24/24) for a reservation I did not make. I called Budget (they were on the receipt) to ask about this issue. They found that the reservation was booked 1/3/2024 in Dublin Ireland. I am going to notify the real company about this but my thought is, shouldn’t they know already??!!!

In June we rented 2 cars for 2 weeks at Pisa Airport via the German broker/portal Billiger-Mietwagen.de – organised via Argus Car Hire and Carnect/Carhiremarket. The cars were handed out in Pisa by local operator Noleggiare. Noleggiare didn’t accept the full insurance paid to Billiger-Mietwagen.de (to Carnect/Carhiremarket and Arguscarhire) – despite of our vouchers/documents clearly stating that. So, we had to pay full insurance again at Pisa Airport. In total we were forced to pay more than 4,000 € for 2 cars in 2 weeks. For that amount we could have rented 4 cars at Avis, Hertz or Europcar. All involved parties – from Argus Car Hire, Billiger-Mietwagen.de, Carnect/Carhiremarket and local operator Noleggiare refused totally to reimburse any of the almost 2,000 € we had to pay on top of the rental price initially paid. STAY FAR AWAY from brookers and organisers like Billiger-Mietwagen.de, Argus Car Hire or Carnect/Carhiremarket – and local operators like Noleggiare. They are just crooks and scam you. 🤬 RENT ONLY from well-known, respected and credible car rental company directly at the airport of arrival origin. NEVER-EVER rent via a brooker/portal. They just steal your money! 🤬
