If I could give zero stars I would. I've not even used this company yet and I've already wasted hours trying to register on their portal. They only appear to have one phone number. You spend ages going through security questions to get through to an agent who then pops you back into the queue and have to go through the whole process again. Then you get a recorded message saying wait times are zero minutes. This is the 7th time I've tried to get through and I've currently been on hold for 45 minutes. Avoid !
It is incredible how quick the whole process took without pestering me too much questions or work to do.

You are a reactive and not pro active company. There was no dedicated person for my case, It took far too long to get completed so i have had to pay the expensive monthly floating interest rate for over 2 months at 9% !!
Fantastic legal team and really good at communicating throughout the whole mortgage process. Thank you! I would highly recommend and virgin mortgages have also been excellent and speedy.

When I started with optima legal I did come here n saw the reviews and got scared .
But I got to happen to speak to Victoria Fletcher in the office and honestly I have to admit that she is just not only professional and punctual in job but also understands the importance of things being correct for someone like me.
I remember saying "I can't mess this remortgage and afford to pay anything extra"
All she replied was "I hope you are ok and don't worry we will get it done for you "
She delivered to her promise and if anyone reading this ever has problems just directly ask for Victoria Fletcher ( also known as Vicky) and she will surely do what is best and give you the right guidance and advice that will help you make better decisions.

They were great with remortgage. Easy website and swift communication.
Phone line has an issue where the automated system would not understand the postcode to verify yourself, but stick to it and it will eventually transfer you to an agent
At first it all appears smooth sailing due to the impression given by the online tracker; however, I then received request for documents which had already been submitted and tracked by their platform.
Optima Legal then decided to leave it to the last minute to raise a redemption statement request with a bank at 18:30 on a Friday, for a remortgage application that had to be completed by COB on the following Monday. By Optima Legal’s own admission it takes 2-3 working days to process at the bank, therefore it was inevitably not completed in time.
This resulted in me having to fork out over £1,300 extra, as was moved to a standard rate on my existing mortgage.
I then receive a phone call on the Monday from Optima Legal asking first “Why I need a remortgage” (something you should know from the application already or be asking three months ago when first submitted) and then when asked why they have left this to the last minute, I was told “Because we are too busy”.
Don’t take on the work if you aren’t capable of delivering. Cowboys.
Wait times were obscene, no actual legal representatives available to take calls - senior case workers are just customer service advisors so can't offer any response or advice on your conveyancing issues. We have paid over £2,000 more in interest due to their incompetence and delays. No one cares that you are losing your mind, and money - you just get to sit in a queue for 2 weeks at a time for someone to say "we've received your e-mail'
