I made a claim on our return for a cancelled leg of our trip due to weather. Our initial submission was what we thought was sufficient information. Their reply requested considerably more WITH EVIDENCE which was unreasonable. After we had supplied everything, our claim was still not processed. Make sure you keep all documentations and get it in writing from the company why the cancellation happened. After many weeks of frustration I gave up.
With all the other insurance companies out there, I'd recommend going with anyone but 1Cover. I have never had a travel claim and this experience has had me rethinking travel insurance altogether. It seems 1 Cover are only interested in taking the premium. If you decide for whatever reason to incur with 1 Cover, just read the small print very, very carefully as they will not payout in the event you need them. Also they are no longer affiliated with Lloyds. Avoid them and go with literally anyone else.
