The actual clinical side was great
The actual clinical side was great. The process was efficient and comfortable - minimal pain and discomfort, much less than I expected. The support staff in the clinic were good, especially Fariza who was truly exceptional - warm, friendly, utterly professional, and a fantastic communicator. She explained everything very clearly, and was a comforting and reassuring presence. There were a couple of hiccups. One very minor, one not so much. The minor one was something that I feel most people would expect, in that the initial quote didn't pick up a few things that were identified in the full examination including x-rays. As I say, to be expected perhaps, and the result was an increase of £2000 in total costs. This was clearly NOT upselling, just a more thorough diagnosis in-person than was possible remotely. As I say, a potential outcome which was to be expected. The second was more significant, and nearly caused me to cancel. The hotel that was promised was right on the Bosphous, a 5 star Marriott, and was part of the reason for choosing this site in particular and Dentakay in general. They switched it at the hotel at the last minute without telling me, to one 20km away in an industrial/commercial district. It was significantly less pleasant and convenient than the promised one. After several conversations they did explain that it was the hotel who let them down, but my issue was they did not communicate this with me - and getting to the bottom of it was hard work. They eventually gave a discount of the difference in cost between the hotels, but the communication issue led to a breakdown in trust which nearly led me to cancel. It may seem trivial, and ultimately the medical communication with staff at the clinic restored the trust, but a simple message would have resolved the issue in the first place. And Fariza was wonderful! Ultimately, my experience has been positive.
