I have had an absolutely horrendous experience with DC Law. I tried complaining to management and it only got worse. The staff were abrasive, rude, accusatory, negligent, and unresponsive. Their negligence has caused my transaction to fall through and the response when I complained to management has been equally as rude and abrasive - asking me to stop emailing senior management to stop complaining whilst not resolving my issue. I had to get another law firm to review the work they did just to help me understand the situation. I am hopeful the transaction doesn’t fall through and that I have better experiences when some of the senior leaders see my emails but I am not holding my breath. After posting about my issue on social media I received responses that other people have had similar experiences. One person who works in mortgages says she actively advises her clients AGAINST using this firm (and any firm within the simplify group). If you care about your transaction, avoid this company at all costs. I intend to never work with them again and will place a contingency on all my real estate transactions that no firm within the Simplify group is used within the transaction. I also work within real estate investments and intend to share my experiences at my company to advise the same. I intend on issuing a formal complaint to the ombudsman and to the Council for Licensed Conveyancers.
