I contacted ELD in the morning of the day of the delivery to warn the pick up apartment was a little tricky to find, asking d’or driver to contact me if needed. I was told DHL drivers couldn’t contact me on my British phone (this was taking place in France) but that they would contact ELD who in return would contact me. Spoke several times to EDL throughout the day. When delivery was 1/2h, 1h then 2h late I was told the driver had come and left, claiming a wrong address. That they abd DHL acknowledged that wasn’t true abd my address valid. The driver was sent back at 8pm instead of planned 5pm latest pickup. He complained that when he was lost he had no one to talk to and that his first failed visit wasn’t followed up by a phone call. In short, despite numerous calls and EDL assuring me they would contact me if any problem arose, they failed to do so and made the whole process very stressful.
