Mortgage appointed solicitors
We are unfortunate enough to have Taylor Rose acting on behalf of our mortgage provider for a purchase as my solicitor is not on the mortgage provider’s panel. They have ignored my solicitor for almost SIX WEEKS and refuse to even let me speak to a manager to escalate the lack of response because I’m not their client, yet won’t respond to any emails from my solicitor and are never available to speak on the phone when they ring. I’m about to lose the sale of my house because the buyer is threatening to pull out due to how long this is taking. We are also now jointly liable for the increase in stamp duty after the budget because they can’t be bothered to reply to an email and let us know a timescale to exchange or whether our paperwork is okay. Absolute joke.
