Will not support their product with paying high fee.
I have used Family Tree Maker for many years. Several years ago the sync with Ancestry.com quit working. It took quite a while before they supposedly fixed. Just recently got applied the latest patches and the install went fine. Now when I try to sync my tree with Ancestry.com it bombs with no explanation but pops up a window that says to clink on the link to send Family Tree Maker a report. Did not get a valid response other then to rebuild my tree. Called online support today and said there was a problem with the database and I would need to pay $150.00 for support to them to fix it. This is their software and database but want to be paid high amount of money for them to support their problem. Perhaps this is a money making scheme for them. I have used different versions of FTM for a long time now and have been a happy customer until now. I am not going to be held for ransom to fix one of their problem. Beware of support, they expect you to pay to fix anything they may have caused. Bring the software back to America!!!
