The most honest review you’ll read about Daniel Smart!
LONG READ, BUT WORTH IT! And just to get to the point - this is the BEST leather(s) you will ever buy. Period. Here’s why: First of all, we bought our leather jackets a while back in October-ish 2021 after we bought our newest Harley - 2021 Road Glide. My husband’s jacket is more on the heavier side but for a dude, it ain’t bad and he just wears a normal jacket/sweatshirt under it and is toasty during the colder months. I am usually always cold so of course I got the thermal insert/removable jacket in my leather jacket and same thing, I usually wear a sweatshirt under with it and I’m perfectly warm. A bonus, the leather is beautiful and legit. My husband’s is black and mine is more of a darker/burned brown. Both truly are beautiful. We were needing chaps for a huge ride from Corpus Christi, TX to Las Vegas, NV. It was a last minute trip and we only had a week before we needed to go. Just our luck, Daniel Smart was having a huge sale and I was able to get both of our chaps for a little over $300! We both got the same pair, with the thermal inserts. I am 5’6, 120lbs, size 1 jeans - very thin female. My husband is 6’1, 204lbs, size 32x34 jeans - very muscular male. We both got the Unisex Double Deep Thermal Lined Chaps. I got the size 3XS and my husband got the size S. And when I tell you that these dang things could not have been a more perfect fit for BOTH of us - they were PERFECT. My husband’s were a little snug on the thigh area with his jeans but after breaking them in they were perfect. Again, the color and leather is beautiful. Now here’s why we will forever use Daniel Smart: 1. Their customer service is exceptional. Their response time is the fastest I’ve ever dealt with. We paid the $40 for 3-day shipping so that we would have them in time and they made sure of that. 2. Unfortunately, we never made it to Las Vegas on our journey. We were ran off the road in El Paso at 4am and hit gravel on the side of the interstate and even though my husband was able to slow the bike down a bit, we still lost control of the bike and went down. I slid about 25-30 feet from where the bike stopped and my husband went down with the bike and slid about 15-20 feet. Luckily we were in full gear - helmets, gloves, & leathers. We are both okay, some sprains and bruises but nonetheless we’re okay all things considered. The reason I took the time to write all of this is because our leathers took all of the damage. If I could post a picture I would show how well they protected us. My husband’s leathers just have some scratches but are still perfectly usable. My leathers took quite the beating, obviously with me sliding as far as I did but there is only one small tear in the back of my jacket. Other than that, just scratched up. Neither one of us had one single bit of road rash on our skin. Unfortunately, they cut my leathers off so I will have to re-buy my leathers but I can promise you, I am! If you are on the fence about buying any product from Daniel Smart, make the purchase. I promise you, it is very much worth it. *I don’t EVER write reviews, but when I believe in a product, I tell anyone I can.
