Painless claiming
On a recent trip to New Zealand I required emergency dental work. With receipts and dentist's report I commenced by claim online (I travel with my tablet). It was an easy to follow process as was the purchase of my policy. I was able to save the claim for completion on my return to Australia. Back home with all relevant documentation in hand I completed the claim. I was advised by email that my claim had been received and would be processed within10 business days. Before the 10 days expired I received another email from the person handling my claim advising me it had been approved and payment to my nominated account would be made within 5 days. It was in my account within 2 days. In all it took less than 14 days from submission to payment. I mentioned this to my travel agent who seemed very surprised that it was so quick as claims through the insurance company they recommend, takes a lot longer. Full marks to TID for giving me peace of mind on my holiday.
